I've gone to this nail salon a few times and have had good experiences each time. Everyone I've interacted with has been very kind, friendly, and helpful. In the back right corner, there's a wall with tons of nail colors to choose from (dip, gel, and acrylic) and the overall vibe of the place is very relaxing. I actually almost fell asleep during my manicure because it's so chill in there! I was there today and my gel manicure was $40, which I think is fair for the high quality of manicure I received! First time back at this salon in over a year after being a customer since they opened. Not satisfied at all. Prices were outrageous. Kevin started my nails but he had to leave so Ann took over. He never said I needed a new set but she did. I felt like Ann was just out to make money from me for her commission. I also feel as though her and the owner Katie were talking about me in their language. I am sorry but they should speak English. Ann was also more worried about getting out of there to go on a date then to be bothered with my nails. She also mentioned several times I could go to Danny next time. When I was getting my nails done I noticed that the technician put an extra layer of powder on only part of all my nails. I asked him why he was doing that but he said it's OK. When he finished I thought they looked nice, until I saw them in the light of day. They all have a bump on them. It's very noticeable. Not smooth at all. It's also extremely thick. After a week two nails are already chipping. They also had a sign that there was a discount for the first time you visited but they did not give me that discount. I won't go there again. *Update - owner has reached out several times to make it right and even sent a gift card. I made an appointment for my two daughters to get their nails done together. We showed up before the appointed time and they still made one of them wait for over an hour. When I went to the counter to see what was going on I was told that there are only a few people working there who can do a full set so there was nothing that they could do. I reminded her that we had an appointment and she shrugged and laughed and acted like it was no one's fault. I would understand them focusing on overpacking the calendar and upselling if they had exceptional service but only a few of the technicians have any skill and with everyone else the work is average or below average. On a good day you can get decent service at reasonable price but it will most likely be at the expense of your time. read more

So my first time here, I had a great experience. The nail tech did my nails the way I wanted and did it perfectly. I had gotten a full set with matte and designs on the ring fingers. My total was $50 not including tip. The cuticles oil and lotion was a big plus. Now my second time here was two weeks later to get a acrylic fill. This time a male nail tech was in charge of my nails. I had went with a very simple nail design. Matte gray and silver glitter in the ring finger. I also gotten two nails fixed since they broke off. I did not enjoy my experience second time around. He was very rough and did the bare minimum. No lotion or cuticles oil. The gel polish that he applied was highly patchy and the two nails that he had fixed was uneven and thick. I will give the place a try one more time. Let's hope it is better. read more

Just finished my second visit to AK and it was another wonderful experience. They take your temp at the door and make you wash your hands which is comforting. They also have plastic between you and the technician and the other customers. They have a ton of options and tons of examples of designs. I saw Vincent and he did a great job. From the time I sat in the pedicure chair until I paid it was 18 minutes!! (comparable service at other salons would take 35-40 minutes!) Shortest / worst pedicure I've ever received! I did tell the woman that did my pedicure how disappointed I was and she simply shrugged her shoulders. I don't recommend , Rude staff , a lot of personal Conversation and cell phone use with the staff so there is no way you could relax, nail techs don't come to work on time when you make an appointment. The first time I came here it was great! My nail technician, June, did a great job on my gel polish (it was very clean and even). However, a few days ago I went to get a full set and I was very disappointed. The application of the polish and nail left my manicure looking messy and unprofessional! The nail tech doing my nails did not speak to me more than twice because she was speaking to a coworker the whole time which led her to neglect/forget to clean up certain things I had specifically asked her to. I'm sad that my second visit here was such a stark contrast to the first visit, especially when I paid $55 (before tip) to get my nails done. I went here with my mom today and we will never come back. Danny was so unprofessional and inappropriate. We go in and my mom and I wanted pedicures, she wanted a gel polish change and I wanted a gel acrylic refill. So they told us it be about 20 minutes so we went and picked out our color. While we're looking I had a guy come over and asked me twice if I picked up my color yet and on the second time when I said not yet I'm sorry, he gave me an attitude and said I'm at table one. He then came back again asked if pick a color and I said no not yet so he walked away and when I went and sat down, he sat on his phone for a few minutes, ignoring me. So he finally starts and says he needs to take off a nail and I already had one off. So then I asked him if he could cut my nails shorter, and he said no. He started making small talk with me and then all of a sudden asked if I had a boyfriend and I said yes I do. He pointed out my rings and said "you have a lot of rings do you have multiple Boyfriends?" And I said no I just have one boyfriend and he repeated again "no you have multiple boyfriends. Multiple rings means multiple boyfriends." I said no I don't. I only have one boyfriend and I'm happily with him and he said it's just a joke. It's just a joke. So then he hands me the slip and it says $55. A gel refill for acrylics cost $40. So I question the manager and she says that she gave me a full set and that's why it was $55. And I said no I'm sorry I didn't get a full set. I just got a gel acrylic refill and she said "no he gave you a new set. He said you needed nails replaced, and that it was a full set" I said no I'm sorry he did two nails he fixed two nails but I didn't get a full set he didn't do all 10 fingers. And on the menu that says two nails is five dollars so if anything it should be $45, not $55. So then he comes over and start yelling at me and said "I gave you a full set and I'll grind it off all your nails". To which I repeated that only two nails that were fixed and that was it. So he starts yelling at me and screams at me whatever and walks away. Then my mom went to go pay and he comes up and started yelling at my mom saying he gave me a full set. Then they proceeded to talk in their language in front of my mom. I felt so uncomfortable from being interrogated about having a boyfriend having multiple boyfriends, to being yelled at in front of the whole store. They also put gel polish on my moms toes after she stated multiple times that she wanted regular polish and charged her $10 more. Danny is horrible and highly inappropriate and this nail salon rips you off and tries to scam you anyway they can. Stay clear!! read more

First time here and will never come back. My pedicure was completely rushed, took about 10 minutes from start to finish BEFORE paint . Salon was empty so don't understand what the rush was for. Greeter at the door was very pushy. I was getting nail art and wanted to speak to my nail tech first but he wouldn't allow me until I chose a color. She kept messing up the paint on my nails as she was attempting to paint them. Design I asked for was totally wrong so she attempted to redo. Guess they are not capable of painting more then dots. In the end she told me she can't do designs until I pay extra for gel polish plus designs. She ended up not doing designs and a horrible polish job. Smh this place sucks stay away. read more

First time here I was treated by my daughter in law for my birthday. It was very clean and the wait wasn't long. The owner did my Easter design, it was adorable he even added more details. He was very pleasant to talk with, he initiated the conversation. Some reviews said he seemed like he was mean towards women or Superior to them.I didn't see that or did he make me feel that way. He was polite to his employees who seemed to joke with him. I was there with two others who also said he was very polite and friendly. But then again we were there to relax. read more

Terrible service I showed them a design and asked for pink and she didn't even confirm with me if the pink was right and did not even speak to me the entire time. I am a regular customer with Kathy and made an appointment with her 3 days in advance. I used to be in love with this place and really enjoyed visiting every once in a while for my nails or a pedicure. However, recently when I went back with my mom to treat her to a pedicure I was not satisfied. I had high hopes for the "volcano stone" pedicure. The woman who was doing my moms pedicure sat her down and left for 20 minutes, my mom was waiting the entire time with her feet in the cold water... by the time she came back i was already 30 minutes into my pedicure imagine. She came back and just gave my mom attitude when she asked "are you okay?" Because she seemed upset that we asked where she was? Afterwards, she was dozing off while doing the pedicure and when asked again if she's alright, she sternly says "relax, you can relax and i relax too" which was honestly weird at this point because she wasn't focused on her job. But the other thing that just tied the knot was she did not do any of the volcano stone or anything... she rushed the entire pedicure. Even tho my mom's pedicure started late she finished the same time I did? Honestly was so disappointed. I tried telling the managers and they didn't even care. I payed over $100 for low quality of service. If she wasn't up for the job she could've told us and I would gladly took my money else where. This is a brand new salon, very clean inside and the staff is super friendly (including the owner). They offer a wide variety of colors to choose from (powder, gel, normal). I would recommend making an appointment but it is not necessary. On my most recent visit I got a manicure with dip powder. This was done by Candy, my favorite nail tech. I love this salon! It is super clean and relaxing inside and not as busy as the other salons in the area meaning NO wait! They have every color you could possibly want including dip and my nails come out perfect the way I want them every time. I always recommend this salon to everyone because their standards are higher than others. The customers are put first and you are not rushed out because of other customers. Usually an okay time here but today I got a dip manicure for the second time at this location. I asked for almond shaped nails which the tech could not do and filed my long nails so short that they were sore, in order to make a weird rounded triangle that I absolutely hated. I asked for the shape to be redone and a huge attitude was given along with more filing, to no avail. Finally she called another tech over, who got the shape correct but the nails were so short at this point that the original shape I wanted looked ridiculous. I ended up having to refile at home because I was so over no one listening to what I asked for. If you can't do it- say that. My nails are now crooked and look awful, but I am very glad that the tech had the time to answer all of her facetime calls (at least 5 within an hour appointment).
