Mother and daughter. WHAT? The photos they took are so average in scope and quality. SO disappointed. We had "the wife" as our photographer and she was all about the groom's family - taking many pictures of that family. When it came to MY family - and I was paying for the service she was stingy and did not take the "money shots". There was very little creativity in the pictures, either. Very stagnant posing.... It's a moment that has come and gone and can never be replicated. Thank GOD I had friends and family that took very artistic photos of the day. Surprised this company is still in business...and the photography on their website is deceiving.

My sister, my mother, and I all tried in vain to get the pictures and we were all met with varying stall tactics, excuses, and unreturned phone calls. To top it off, Chris W. had my first review removed and sent me this threat: "Take down your fake comment or we will send lawyers notes. You've never been a client of ours so our lies can stop." So no, I wouldn't recommend this guy to take a picture of cold cow dung for you; much less tell you to trust him with your special memories.

I contracted with Foto Envy in April of 2015 for my June 2016 wedding. 8 months later I received an…read moreemail (not a phone call) informing me that my photographer, Yunkin, was transferring my contract to North x North. I was told all single photographer weddings under a certain $$$ amount would be transferred to North x North. I immediately called both parties for further explanation. I don't believe I ever really got an accurate story. I couldn't tell if there was a parting of ways or not? The explanation was rather vague, but it seemed North x North was still an affiliate of Foto Envy? However, I had to sign a completely new contract with North x North. I was apprehensive, but I was able to keep my original photographer, and my wedding was 6 months away. I didn't want to start over looking for a new photographer. I signed and my deposit was transferred to North x North. I paid the balance of my contract in March 2016. End of April rolled around and I decided to reach out to my photographer to start discussing specific details for the wedding. On 4/30/16 (wedding date was to be 6/11/2016) I received an email from Yunkin, explaining that he was moving his photography buisness to Seattle, but had found 4 photographers who would be happy to take over my contract for my wedding day. No phone call, just an email. I was stunned. None of the suggested photographers were even local. I had no idea who any of them were. Basically, I had 6 weeks before my wedding to meet and select a new photographer. After several phone calls to both Yunkin himself and Foto Envy, I did receive a full refund. Foto Envy apologized, and made it seem they had nothing to do with Yunkin any longer. Yunkin apologized as well, but it was really too late for apologies. I was lucky enough to secure a new local photographer for my date. I have no idea whether Foto Envy is affiliated with North x North anymore or not? Maybe it's just buisness, but I feel both parties acted poorly. The lack of communication and way this situation was handled, was in my opinion, very unprofessional.

The house itself is gorgeous. Turn of the century, antique fixtures, new appliances. The grounds are very pretty and well kept. The owner, Jerry is very possibly the nicest and most accommodating guy on the planet. If you book here, please be kind to him. He's the best. It is a bit far if you're coming from the city (about 1.45 mins) but it's a nice little getaway and totally worth the mild inconvenience. Trust me, guys. This is the place.

Brett photographed my wedding and he was so good to work with, I can never say enough good things…read moreabout him! I had had my heart set on another photographer for my wedding but I was getting the run around as far as if they were available or not when I went to a bridal fair and came across the booth Brett had set up there. My now husband and I spoke to him and looked through some of his work and we pretty quickly decided to book him. The thing that appealed to us the most is that he does things outside of the typical wedding pictures - the wedding packages include a beautiful hardcover book in which your photos are showcased on linen pages. The bride and groom get to select the pictures for this book and then Brett adds some of his own choosing. He can put the pictures on 3D photographic paper, which really shows the color and texture of the picture beyond just a normal print. During the reception, he takes the bride and groom outside for a sunset photo shoot and then does another one with backlighting after dark; seriously, what photographer usually stays at the reception after the bouquet and garter toss?! Beyond the fact that Brett thinks outside the box, he is also incredibly agreeable and easy to work with; the day really is all about you and your wedding, he wants you to set the tone and he will do pretty much whatever you ask. His wife works as his assistant and his daughter is his second photographer. Any picture Brett is taking, his daughter is taking from another angle, so it really is as if every moment is captured. On our wedding day, Brett's daughter stayed with me and my bridesmaids to photograph us while we got ready and Brett was with the groom and groomsmen, taking pictures of them getting ready. (I also found out later that Brett and his family had paid a visit to the chapel in which we were married and to our reception venue in the couple of weeks prior to our wedding so he could get ideas and prepare for the day.) Back to the wedding day, they shot pictures continously from the time they showed up at noon until they left the reception at 10pm! My husband and I recently got our proofs back and the sheer number of them shows how dedicated they both were to documenting our wedding day. Brett called me to make sure that I had gotten to look at the pictures and he was so animated, telling me how he loves to put the books together and really tell the story of the wedding day through the pictures. He mentioned specific pictures that were his favorites and also pointed out some details in a few that we hadn't noticed yet. His dedication and passion for his work really comes through when you talk to him, he's a great guy and talented photographer. I hope to be able to use him for other pictures in the future and I would definitely recommend him to anyone!
