When visiting a friend, we called around to book appointments. We were able to call ahead and schedule two appointments for here. The pedicure felt very rushed. After the pedicure, I received the gel manicure. This was also rushed and very subpar. The nail tech didn't spend enough time on the "manicure" part of the experience. My cuticles were practically left untouched, as you can tell in the picture. The polish being left on the skin will cause the paint to peel in only a few days. Not worth the money. This place is the amazing and very Covid friendly compared to other salons I have been to. There were limited people in the salon and they take extra precautions to make sure you are in a safe environment. I am visiting from Los Angeles and was in desperate need of a gel manicure as all of the salons in LA are closed. I have been to several salons in this area, but wanted to try something new as I was never too impressed. I can honestly say this was one of the best manicures I have ever had. I like to have my nails done a certain way, and the gentleman that did them was very patient with me and very accommodating. Wanted to get my sails in a whim Friday evening. I called and there was no wait. Very polite staff. Beverages and snacks complimentary. I got a gel manicure. They did a great job and a wide selection of colors. I returned on Monday for a pedicure. Again received polite service. Massage chairs are very relaxing. They do not use the cheese graters!! This was important to me. Prices are comparable but I would pay a few dollars More for the quality of service and cleanliness of the salon. I definitely recommend this salon and will return again. I love Paradise Nails Bar. Ruby is always super helpful and friendly and she does a great job every time. They offer beverages a lot, which is super sweet. I'm there a while sometimes so it's much appreciated. I usually just get powder dip but have had a pedicure here as well. I love how clean and bright it is inside. I first gave this place a try during their Grand Opening the summer of 2018 for the 20% off and I have been a repeat customer ever since. Everyone is extremely kind and their customer service is top of the line. They will offer you a variety of beverages including wine (both red and white!) as well as snacks and I think every single time fresh fruit has been offered as well (often watermelon). And this is all complimentary with your service! Paradise also takes walk-ins (I've never made an appointment) and the wait times are minimal. They have a good selection of both regular and gel polish too, always do a great job, and I had a glittery silver set that received non-stop compliments. I always get coffin shape and have for years and have routinely been frustrated by salons in the area as the quality often depends on the nail tech. I've gone some places and have had them beautifully done just to return and have someone else do a somewhat poor job. Star Nail Design in Trolley Square used to be my standard spot before this place opened and one of the men there does a KILLER coffin but others are merely passable. And I once went to T&D on Marsh RD. as a last resort before a big event and got something not even remotely close to coffin (which was a super odd shape in general) which convinced me to never go back. But here at Paradise every tech I've had has done a great job with the coffin shape and that's a big sign of how skilled this place is as a whole. I would come back for the quality itself but the outstanding customer service and kind techs are icing on the cake. Add in the 20% off bills $20 or more Monday-Wednesday and I'm even more sold on this being the best nail salon in Wilmington. This place deserves every single good thing said about it and the owners and staff have put a lot of work into making this place stand out from the rest of the salons. I know that they will have my business for a long time and I recommend them wholeheartedly. And it's pretty funny to see the surprise on people's faces when you tell them that you got to drink wine and eat fresh fruit while getting your nails done! read more

Went here on a whim just out of curiosity. I must say they exceeded all of my expectations. This nail salon is beautifully decorated, all of the staff are friendly and professional, and it is operated like an actual salon should be! I was offered snacks, red wine and assorted soft drinks, as well as fresh watermelon, while I enjoyed my deluxe pedicure and everyone seemed eager to assist in any way possible. Unlike most nail salons in the area, they have a large selection of colors for both gel and regular polish. I've actually had two compliments on my toes in the last few days. I didn't catch the name of the woman who did my pedicure, but the man who did my awesome full set was named Tony. They try. The ladies are nice but I was in for a pedicure and never again. The woman had my nails bleeding around the edges and was extremely rough with everything she did. This is the second time I've been in, the first time was for my daughter to get her nails done. Both times the owner stands in the back smoking cigarettes and the entire place fills with the smell. It's nauseating, with no regard for anyone. The man does a great job on nails, but pedicures are torture with Helen. The cigarette smoking smell is over bearing and appalling . I was looking for a new nail salon, and due to the great reviews I decided to try this place. I called and asked if they took walk-ins and I was told yes. Therefore, I showed up within an hour or so. I decided to get a gel mani and pedi while deciding last minute to get my niece the same treatment. Everyone was super nice, talkative (whether it is to you, or their coworkers), professional... Everything was going pretty well, i was offered a drink, had small talk with my nail tech until I realized that my service was being rushed. I noticed that my nail tech was painting my toes while my niece sitting next to me... who also started her pedicure before me was still getting her feet rubbed and prepped. So because she had already started painting my toes, I decided to let it go. Then came my nails, again, I got a gel manicure. I paid and for both niece and myself while giving a decent tip. Two days later... 3 of my nails were chipping and peeling. In store, you'll notice that there is a sign that basically states If service is incorrect/ messed up due to workmanship, you can come back within a week and get it fixed. So I went back, because at this point I'm annoyed because this has NEVER happened at any other nail salon. So I go back, and have someone different attempt to fix my fingers that are peeling and chipping. She takes notes of the rest of my fingers and tells me I'm good to go. However, i then noticed a more polish was starting to peel on different fingers. And had to ask her to fix them, when I know she noticed them starting to peel. Only reason I gave the 3 stars is because they are nice people, ambiance and my niece's regular polish manicure and pedicure lasted longer than my gel manicure. read more

Made an appointment with a friend for 11:30, they said they had time for both of us. I say there for an hour while they did my friends pedicure and manicure waiting my turn. When it was finally my turn my pedicure was very rushed. Next up was my manicure, I wanted a dip manicure, they brought me the gel colors, I picked out a pretty purple and asked if they had it in dip form. This seemed to cause a lot of confusion. 3 employees all came over asking me what I wanted and again explained I really liked this purple and if they had it in dip that's what I wanted, if not if be happy to do a gel manicure instead. This was my first visit and I will be back. This place is very nice. It's clean and doesn't smell like chemicals, like most nail saloms. The owners as well as the employees are nice. You are greeted when you come in and they check on you throughout your service. They also offer water, soda, and wine throughout your service. There was no wait, but this place is new. I got a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. I wanted a certain design and they didn't have the supplies necessary to do it but the owner assured me that the next time I came he would have the supplies so I could get the design I wanted. Anyway I am pleased with both services and like I said earlier I will be back!!! OH! I almost forgot they are having a 20% off grand opening special so get there soon! read more

What a surprise and what a fantastic experience! This new salon is immaculate. I received a pedicure, and learned that all of the pedicure tools are one-time use. Even the foot bath is lined with a disposable liner. They offered me drinks (red wine!) and watermelon! The owner did my pedicure, and he was very meticulous and gentle.
