Not all waxing salons are created equal, and sometimes you come across a great one with out even trying. I was in a bit of a pinch my normal salon was booked solid and i was in need of a wax for my upcoming jaunt to Greece. I yelped and found this place in close proximity to my casa and that there was a Yelp deal (double win) I emailed Brenda ( who is super sweet btw) and she had a facial cancel on her and advised me that a 10 am was available we correspnded through email but she has a phone number for business as well. I arrived a few minutes before and waited in probably the cutest waiting room i had ever seen TONS of bumble bees and cute little nick nacks. Brenda was finishing up with a client and a few minutes later she was ready for me. I have never had a wax with strips ( im used to the hard wax) and i usually de robe from the bottom down but Brenda provided me with cotton like panties to wear during the wax. The STRIPS were VERY PAINFUL i mean getting waxed is not like being licked by kittens at all but ive been getting waxed for YEARS and it def hurt. All and all i was pretty happy with the results and if i was ever in a pinch again i would def call/email Brenda. The only reason why this isnt a full 5 star review is the pricing. Brazilians are 72.00 thats more than im used to paying even with tip. Its def a great wax but the price point is just out of my range (buying the yelp deal really helped me out ALOT ) I also didnt even think about it until i left but part of my brazilian wax at any other place includes a back door clean up. It was a quick wax with great results and I would def recommend Brenda. She provides other services such as tinting and facials. Gratuity isnt accepted at the beehive and she has various hours to fit any ones schedule. read more

I came across The Bee Hive while searching for a good place to get a desperately needed facial. I spoke to Brenda over the phone about the skin issues I was struggling with and booked an appointment with her for the next day. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to ask me all the relevant questions needed to help me get to the roots of my skin problems. I have been following her advice for a week now and I see a huge difference in my skin. Her Menu of Services include waxing and facials...a bit on the pricey side. But worth dishing up the money. By far the best eyebrow grooming experience of my life! Brenda shows such care for your happiness with the end result. She is also a lovely person and so much fun to get to know. I highly recommend this place. I have been getting my brows done in NYC for 5 years before moving here, and I have never had someone do my brows as perfectly as Brenda. Amazing experience today at The Bee Hive! This was my first time at this salon, and I was blown away by the fantastic service. I went there for my first Brazilian wax and I was really nervous, but Brenda is so warm and friendly, which made me immediately feel comfortable. She walked me through the entire process, reassuring me and giving me lots of tips and options as we went along. I have never had such great service at any salon! I was even walked to the door on my way out! I went to get my brows waxed and I was very nervous because I've had some bad experiences in the past.. But Brenda is super friendly and listens to what YOU want your brows to look like. Then makes it happen. And she doesn't stop until each brown is perfect. Brenda asked me what medications I was taking and the gave me her unsolicited and uneducated medical advice which was inappropriate. She waxed my legs and there were large patches of hair left over when she was done so it was completely pointless. Never going back. I do think she would do a good job on eyebrows though as she trimmed mine and they looked good. read more

Brenda is a very nice lady with good conversation. I had a brazilian wax with her and unfortunately will not get a second one. I though it was good until the ibuprofen wore off. I was totally raw. My skin was peeling off on my labia. It was rather painful maybe the most that I have ever had. read more
