Incredible experience at this location. My poodle mix experienced a freak accident where his eyeball popped out of his socket and he was rushed to the emergency room. While the surgery went well, he was incredibly filthy and full of blood and dirt. The vet office refused to get him clean and since he was going to be indoors for his recovery, we were in desperate need of a groomer. My doggy and I walked into Happy Paws before they were closing, and the staff was merciful with us. The technicians kindly shaved all of his dirty, matted hair and were very careful with his face. They left my dog clean and ready for recovery indoors at a very reasonable price. The owner, Ms. Azzan, put herself at our service for any future needs my dog and I required. I highly recommend to take your furry loved one to this pet groomer! read more

Do not take your pets here. My Pom was handed back to me, as soon as I saw her it didn't seem right. Her haircut was extremely choppy and after I took off, I checked her out and she had this long strand of hair on her butt just hanging out. It was extremely disappointing. I did not want to take her back to address my concerns, because I did not feel comfortable. Felt as if they would just ruin her even more. I decided to take her to another groomer off Sun Valley and even they noticed all the wrongs that my pup had. I am not one to complain but this time I decided to call the owner and informed her of my concerns, she just kept stating I should have taken her back, I was honest and told her that would never be an option. I kindly asked her to please refund my money and she said she would not. No problem, she is now getting this review from me. I took my Great Dane to happy paws and the young man there Julio gave EXCELLENT customer service. Very knowledgeable & helpful. My dog was happy with there service too , when I picked her up she was happy & all dolled up. She took a liking to Julio very quick. Prices are so reasonable & quick service. You can tell they are animal lovers and they will treat your pet with love. I DEFENITLY recommend this place and will continue taking my pets there. read more

This is my first and last time taking my dog to get groomed at this location. I understand that it is difficult to groom long-haired dogs but at the very least, try your best to do a service I hired you for. I hate doing bad reviews but this was too much for me to just sit on as I lost money and had to put forth my own energy to take care of my dog where these groomers failed. I received my dog and he looked fine and I should have checked him. My dog was still wet and had a poor brush job done on him. He was shedding so bad! As you can see the amount of hair I brushed off him when we got home. Very disappointed. Will still to the Zaragoza location. read more

This place did not have a welcoming atmosphere at all. I was actually glad that they were at full capacity to take any more dogs because I wouldn't of wanted my little Pomeranian to stay there at all. Right away when you walk in there there is a bad oder of wet dog. I understand that this is a dog grooming place but still... I wouldn't of wanted to stay there let alone having my dog stay there for hours. Luckily we ended up finding a place that was much more inviting and the people were really nice. First time i bring my dog. Never called me to let me know he was ready. Then they gave a dog whos paw was bleeding to the owner without notifying her about it. After i arrived to the house i noticed a blood spot in the carpet and i started checking on my dog and noticed that his two front paws were bleeding and hie left ear had dry blood on it. I have been looking all over the east side of El Paso for a good groomer for my dogs.I have used Happy Paws in the past but with the constant changing of groomers I have gotten disappointed. But today was my lucky day! I found the sweetest groomer named Joanne , who did a fantastic job on my dog. She was caring about the dog as well as my feelings and was completely done with the complete grooming in less than an hour. My dog looked great. If I could rate 0 out of 5 stars I would. Single worst grooming location I have ever taken my dog, and will never return. If you care about quality service your dog stay FAR away. The man who came to take my dog to the back when I walked in was carrying another dog, and could barely manage to walk my 40lb dog to the back. As I tried to explain that my dog is very scared of people and new places, due to being a rescue, he completely ignored me and dragged her to the back with one arm, still holding the other dog. The groomers clearly did not have the ability or experience to handle dogs larger than 5 lbs and ignored my attempts to explain that mine gets scared easily. I take my dog to the groomers every 3 weeks, and I have NEVER had any issues. Trying Happy Paws after a recent move was clearly a mistake. Even one of the groomers said they had worked at PetsMart before and recommended I take my dog there because "they have better equipment and more training to handle scared or anxious dogs." It's a strong testament to poor quality of a service if even the employees recommend you take your animal somewhere else. I am extremely disappointed in the total lack of training, attention to detail, and care for my dog this location had. Never again. read more

The groomer is wonderful and gave my dog the exact cut I wanted. The personal were very patient with my girl.

At first we called more than once but nobody answered. So we called the one on dyer. They called for us. They to us to take our puppy to the one on edgmere and they would take her and groom her. So we take her only to get poor customer service and for them to tell us they won't accept her even they they were open for three more hours. We will NEVER use this business again. They do not appreciate their customers nor stand by their word. I would not recommend anyone taking their pets there. read more

Terrible service! Took my two little chihuahuas for the chihuahua Tuesday promotion and it seemed like they didn't even bathe my dogs. I was not able to pick the dogs and see if they had done a good job. When I called back the gentleman who answered the phone was very rude. I asked him politely if the dogs had been bathed and why one of my dogs still had long nails and his reply was " I mean for $15 that's the best we can do". He kept repeating that for the such a low price I shouldn't be expecting good service. I had never experienced such bad customer service at happy paws. Not to mention we left a good tip (way over 20%). I highly advise you save your money and take your puppies elsewhere. Not worth the price due to their low quality service. If I experienced bad customer service and attitude from their employees, I do not want to imagine how they treat the dogs. It seems like they are doing their job carelessly, as mentioned by the employee. I would not be surprised if they are treating animals the same way. read more

JULIO HIT MY DOG IN THE HEAD, according to him it was "tap" for my dog to not bite him. My dog HAS NEVER bitten someone. He had the guts to tell me he didn't do it when I clearly saw him do it. He then decided to give me an attitude when I told him not to hit my dog and to just give him back. He then said no, I told him it wasn't a question. I can't believe type of "groomers" like him work for this place. I will never take my little fur baby back with them. Petco was so helpful and treated bronco with respect. If it were an option, I would give this establishment no stars. This is quite possibly the most unprofessional business in all of El Paso. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE. They will sit in a cage for up to 6 hours before any work is even done to them, even if you have an appointment. I showed up with my two dogs at the time of my appointment and was told there was no appointment made at all. They did not record my appointment and took my dogs after telling me they would be done in 2-3 hours. I received no call after the 3 hour mark and decided to call to check on their status. At that time I was told they were being dried and should be finished soon. I waited another hour and a half with no call telling me they were ready so I called again. This time I was told that they just started being groomed and that it would take another hour! I was furious and began to express my displeasure with an employee who told me, "When you called I did not tell you we would be busy today so that I could keep your business and you wouldn't take your dog somewhere else." I will never bring my dog here again. This business is unorganized, unprofessional, and does not care about the comfort of your pets. If you need another groomer, I recommend Paul's Pet Grooming or Mad Dog Mobile. read more

took my older dog there and explained she needed a little bit more attention and patience. I was a walk-in and asked if they had room to see her, they said they could. I didn't ask for a pick up time and they never offered one either, but I figured if she had been there since 10 am she'd be done by 4. She wasn't. It was explained to me that the gentleman was taking his time with her because of my request. Understood, but while I was observing him finish he was rough and yanking her head forward. when we left he bent down to pet her and she flinched and hid her tail.
