I frequent this store a few times a week, and have always had excellent and friendly service from all employees except for tonight. I walk in, only customer, and proceed to the register. The female working had her cell phone in hand above the register, so I was in her direct line of sight. She never acknowledged my presence, no greeting, so I then said I'll have four packs of Marlboro Silver 100's, please. I had ID in hand as your staff always cards me, but she never asked for ID. She then put down the phone, moved slowly to reach for the packs - had she moved any slower she'd have been going backwards - rang up the packs, then walked over to the front window. Guess she assumed that I was paying by card and not cash. She never told me the amount of the purchase, so I asked if we were good, and what's my total. Her reply: you saw me ring 'em up, I put the smokes in the bag, the price is right there. Two other customers had entered the store by now, so instead of taking issue, I stated that I'd talk to the manager tomorrow. Her response: I don't care who you talked to, and then kept on with attitude about what she had done for the purchase. I departed. Tomorrow I will speak to the manager, and have this comment in hand for her review and whatever corrective action that she deems appropriate. Your employee has attitude, and I see it as all about my race. Won't happen again as I will not be as nice as this evening. Gas prices are always fair and staff inside are friendly. Easy and convenient on base. Lines tend to get long in the AM if everyone is grabbing breakfast and snacks for the day so I avoid that time and come during off times for gas or other snacks.

BP is one of their partners where you can redeem your fuel points for a 10 cent/gallon discount per every 100 fuel points. I ended up with a 40 cent/gallon discount on my last visit! Some notes: - press "Loyalty" on the touch screen at the pump and enter your phone number that is associated with your Kroger account and follow prompts - you can get additional discounts if you buy a car wash - 7 Eleven is the convenience store attached, the store seemed clean and service was friendly The last time I was there, their gas pumps were down but they did not put any signs outside. Customers were pulling up to gas pumps and were left in the dark (me included). Some waited, some drove off. I would suggest having some "Out of Order" signs readily available to slap on the pumps should they have another IT emergency. It's nice to have an option nearby for gas. No, I was driving back to NYC from North Carolina and needed some gas before I got on that freakishly long Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. So, I pulled into the BP here and got my gas and was back on the road in a jiffy. The place was clean, there were plenty of pumps and I was able to get in and out effortlessly. Like I said, it was a gas, baby! The only weird thing was when I was pumping gas into my rental car, this guy comes over to demonstrate some car cleaning product. I told him I didn't need it and he says "Why, you don't own a car?". And I said "No I don't. I live in New York so I take the subway everywhere. Do you want to see my Metrocard?". I don't think he believed me, so he proceeded to clean the trunk of my rental. It did look good and I told him that Budget Rental Cars would thank him. He was nice enough, though, and very handsome, but I'm still concerned that he thought I would lie about not owning a car. Don't I look honest?
