I booked Lily our Golden Doodle in for a groom, she had been going to Happy Snoutz for years. Leslie was not there when I dropped he off at 9, for a 12:30. appointment. They insisted I bring her early so she would be ready if they got ahead of schedule. I explained i was leaving on a trip at 3:00 so had to pick her up then. I figured no big deal she can play until she gets groomed. I called at 1:30 and they had not even started her and said they would then, I explained again I had a flight to catch so needed to pick her up by 3:00. I called again at 2:30 and they were bathing her and that was all they had time to do. Well that was an expensive bath she didn't need. When I picked her up she was totally tramatized. I questioned the lady and she indicated they had put her in a kennel. She hates kennels. I had explained early to Leslie that Lily doesn't do kennels and she always let her play with the other dogs. Well these girls decided since I didn't pay extra for day care she had to wait the entire day in a kennel to get a bath we didn't want, excuse me you were the one ones that REQUIRED she get there early for you convenience not mine. I don't think the dog would walk back in there again she was so upset. We will never go back to Happy Snoutz again! read more

Today the manager and owner showed no willingness to work with an upset customer on a punch card system that is very misleading. The punch card is for daycare visits or services that are $27 and up according to the owner and manager. I have received 5 so far out of the 10 needed to get a free bath. When my wife and I went on vacation we had our dog Samson stay there for 8 days. No where on the card does it has any fine print about certain restrictions applying. After spending almost $300 on daycare and boarding. The employee (found out 6 hours later I was talking to the owner) said she could only punch my card one time. She explained it was based on the drop off Friday October 21st and the pick up the following week on October 28th. In other words only one credit since it was one drop off and pick up. I was of course confused and explained Samson was at daycare and boarding for 8 actual days. The punch cards doesn't explain this detail or restriction. We spent close to $300 and one punch doesn't seem fair. I was upset that we only got one credit for 8 days of full daycare and then over night boarding. When I came back later that day to pick up Samson. I brought up my concerns with the manager. She tried to explain the same thing that the employee said to me that morning. She said you get credit for each time you come spending minimum $27. She tried to explain if you go somewhere and buy 8 things you would only get one punch. I tried to explain if I bought 8 pedicures for me and 7 other friends I think they would be glad to give us the credited punches on the card. She continued to explain that they don't have to give these out since they are a small business. I felt like she had no empathy or thanked us for doing business with them for 8 days. Just saying we don't have to do this and we are a small business. I agree but I said the punch card is misleading big time. I asked her if I could speak with the owner and she informed me the employee I spoke with in the morning was the owner. I am disappointed that the owner and manager had no empathy or willingness to in good faith offer some sort of concession for the situation. Did they say sorry? Yes but didn't show any interest in saying hey thanks for bringing this concern up. We will work on updating this card of letting our customers know. Or maybe hey we will give you a few extra punch cards. We can't give you 8. But we want to keep our customers happy. On principle alone I will not do business here again. read more

My baby loves it here , I love the fact that you get reports cards at the end of the day to tell you what your fur baby has been up to . The staff is friendly and my dogs is always very sleepy for at least two days after, and for a dog that is very hyper active that says a lot . I absolutely love this place for both daycare and grooming. The staff members are so sweet and remembered my dogs after their first day. They are always super quick to respond whenever I reach out with questions. My one dog is almost 3 and has been to many different daycares due to me moving and traveling a lot. This is the first place where he does not cry and try to run back to me when I drop him off. In fact, today he pulled his leash to get inside daycare and could care less that I was leaving him. I took my rescue dog here for his first grooming and he looks great! I was a bit apprehensive about getting him groomed. he is a bit older and unfamiliar with the grooming process BUT he seemed unfazed and looks great. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly to me and my pup. They got down on his level and said hello. I was also unaware of the type of haircut he needed so I asked them to choose and the cut really suits him. I honestly can't say enough great things about this place. First of all I just moved to the area two weeks ago and decided to find a new groomer for the convenience. I found this place on yelp with great reviews and said, why not?. My first phone call to them was greeted with the groomer herself and she was nice as can be. I think the owners were out that day. I couldn't find my dog's records since we are still knee deep in boxes. Unfortunately our previous vet could only do a verbal verification with the groomer. I'm pretty sure it's an inconvenience, but she was so sweet about it. Fast forward to the day of grooming. The groomer came out to my car and asked me what I wanted in my dog's haircut. Even though I thought I was saying all the correct things, she would ask me follow up questions that I didn't even think I needed to be specific on. This way she knew exactly what I wanted. It's no wonder I wasn't alway happy about haircuts with the previous groomer. When I went to pick up my little one she looks so freaking cute!!! She was in a great mood and not panting like she usually does when I pick her up from anywhere. I haven't been this happy with a groomer since we live in New Orleans 5 years ago. Oh and the plus side... they are so affordable. I'm use to paying double, which drains the wallet when you have 3 dogs. read more

Happy Snoutz did a complete 360 on my pup! She had been long overdue for another cut and I was skeptical about trying someone new. Luckily, I did and I am glad I tried the groomer here after a veryyyy long talk about my expectations. The groomer assured me that she will do her best to achieve my wish pictures. Before taking him, I spoke with Lesly over the phone about his behavior and she was very nice, and patient in giving me full details of their grooming services. I called like 3x that week to ask more questions, and she was so nice about it. When I finally took both my dogs, she handled them very well and treated them like they were her own. When it was time to finally pick them up, I couldn't believe the amazing job they had done with my dogs! I'm still a customer and will continue to be. I usually don't have my dog in daycare, but due to a hip replacement, I had to find a place to take my dog during the day while I recovered. My usual overnight boarding place is too far, so I had to find something close. I happen to find Happy Snoutz close by. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! Lula has been going for 3 weeks and she is always happy! She gets socialization, and gets love from the owners. I have had her groomed twice and they do a fantastic job. Even when I'm able to walk Lula again, I will continue to take her once a week just got the socialization. The place is clean, and has a good size indoor/ outdoor area for dogs to run around. So happy this place has opened up in Spring Branch area of Houston! Small family owned businesses are changing Long Point Road. Our 3 dogs stayed over the July 4th weekend. The owners are true dog lovers and very sweet. We didn't have them groomed but they did have an "Exit bath" and smelled amazing. Our dogs are large so we paid to have the entire suite to themselves. They have the same ( great for dog's hips) raised beds that we have at home. One of the owners is a vet tech and pointed out one of our dogs had yeast in her ear. She cleaned it thoroughly then told us how to clean it and take care of it. I love it when people go out of their way, that to me is a sign that they are making a living doing what they are passionate about. We have found a worry free gem for our furry family members while we travel, so fortunate. read more

I took my Chloe to get a haircut and the girls really did a great job! I had previously taken her to Pet Smart and I was not satisfied at all. The staff at Happy Snoutz was fast and courteous, I will definitely take her back for all future grooming appointments and I been also thinking of putting her in doggy day care with them. The only thing that I was not aware of, or thought it was a bit unconventional was the $15 fee that I was charged for her being a "naughty dog". I forgot what they call it.
