After right at 2 years of patronizing this business, it was requested to not cut the hair on my friend's daughter's, Shitzu Poodle mix. Upon picking him up, it was discovered that the hair in his head was indeed cut. After contacting Eddie to inform him of the matter, he then conveyed to me that José, the technician, stated that he "felt disrespected" and that services to our dog would be discontinued. Eddie went on to say that because of the dog's disposition- there are no other techs who desired to "put up with him" and "José was the only tech who would groom him." The irony is: If in fact the dog were so unmanageable, amazingly, Eddie would call my friend to see when would she be bringing him in. If the dog were that bad, his services should have been refused 2 years ago. The final analysis- Eddie told me that he would refund me the money from the last service and that due to the dog's disgruntled disposition- there was a TLC fee, which we have never seen, prior to that day. As a patron, it was NEVER about the money. It was about José failing to follow instructions and when the issue was addressed, the company assumed a stance of victimization, which resulted in poor customer service. Accountability goes a long way a business, and sadly, they chose not to be held accountable. read more

We used to bring Mollie here when she was a puppy and when we moved back we obviously brought her back. She's been going to Jose for the past two years and he does a fantastic job. We do the express grooming so she is finished in two hours. She's always clean, happy, and he takes excellent care of her. She looks beautiful every time and I can tell she likes it because when she goes there she knows exactly where to go off the leash. For credit cards they do add a fee for the processing which is fair so we Zelle every time to avoid the fee. Prices are competitive and it's actually lower than you would think. I brought Briggs to Heights Pet Grooming for the first time today, and I couldn't be more impressed! Jose did a phenomenal job--there were no lines in his cut, his feet look amazing, and his little mohawk is absolutely perfect. He even cleaned the inside of Briggs' ears and trimmed the hair short to help prevent infections, which are common in Cocker Spaniels. We've been struggling with that for a couple of months now, so I really appreciated the extra care. Eddie, the owner, was also incredibly helpful and made sure I felt completely comfortable leaving Briggs in their hands. The entire experience was smooth, friendly, and professional. They have four full-time groomers and one part-time, and their prices are very reasonable--not inflated like so many other places in the area. I had my border collie, healer mix, Harold, bathed, de-shedded and nails trimmed. He normally is a giant pain in the butt to trim his nails especially. Yesterday was my 2nd visit at Heights Grooming. I have a groomer that we love, but wanted a backup for when he's booked. At our first visit, Adriana groomed my dog. The cut was nice, so I decided to take him back for a birthday and new year cut. ANGER doesn't begin to describe my feelings around the way Adriana butchered my dog's cut. As a professional groomer, there is no way Adriana or any other staff member thought this was okay!! Honestly, it feels intentional, but that's a story for another day. Pepper, Roo, Casey, Sadie I, Charlie, Sadie II, and Bailey (aka "Littlefoot") were groomed there, and all was well. Then it was many years (5, I think) before I had a dog that required grooming again. A lot can happen in 5 years. I tried to make an appointment and was greeted by demands. No welcome, no, "We'll be glad to see you," nothing but demands: long form giving them absolution for whatever they might do and also requiring considerable information about the dog. The dog's vaccination record. Then a little more than half the quoted fee as a non-refundable deposit. According to the online outfit they use for the form, I was supposed to get a copy, but I didn't. I asked the online outfit (Docusign) for a copy and was told that it should be provided by Heights Grooming. I requested a copy from Heights Grooming and was told that it had to be provided by Docusign. I said that was enough. Please tear up the form, dispose of the shot record, and refund my deposit. I was told the deposit was non-refundable, but we could keep the appointment, so I said okay. Today I received (email): "Greetings! Upon review of the phone & e-mail exchange when you booked your appointment, we have decided to cancel your appointment for Hatchi on Tuesday, 4/18. Your deposit of $37.50 has been refunded to card ending in 5806. Your Docusign document was been destroyed as well. We wish you luck in finding a more cooperative groomer who can service your needs. I'm so picky when it comes to my fur baby. Omg they did an amazing job! I dropped her off because I didn't have a scheduled appointment so they had her for about 5 hours which is typical. I'll be returning Update: the first time I came or was amazing. The last two times not so much. I've uploaded recent pictures the cut very lopsided. Multiple chunks missing uneven throughout her body. It looks like a rushed job. Not worth the 59 especially when I showed her how much to cut and she cut way more off. Not to mention I asked for her nails to be clipped and they're not clipped. read more

Do not take your pets here. The staff is predatory and downright mean, especially the groomer Sean. I have been a customer since moving in to the heights in 2017 and the quality of service PLUMMETED since 2020. I've been giving them chances but Sean's horrible, malicious behavior today was the last straw. I have a poodle bichon mix that I started bringing this year alongside my maltese mix. The poodle mix has very fine curly hair that is prone to knots and mats. I'm aware of this, which is why I brush her occasionally. The groomer Sean has completely clean shaven my poodle mix in the past, so I was preparing my poodle mix for this scheduled visit by brushing out her knots the week prior, as I scheduled this visit to prepare my dogs for my yearly Christmas Eve party. I arrived promptly at the scheduled drop off time and upon arrival Sean is feeling up my poodle mix and fabricating places where allegedly she has mats. I'm surprised to hear this because I've been brushing the dog, so Sean takes me to her grooming table to show me the mats. Most of the spots she identified were not matted, but we finally find two locations. So I ask her if she can spot clip the mats to avoid a clean shave the literal day before Christmas Eve. She tells me my poodle mix will have a botched haircut, which I believe is not a good idea given how close it is to Christmas. So I suggest a bath only. Sean rejects the bath and tells me she won't be able to brush and dry my poodle mix. So I accept my situation and decide it's best that they don't give my dog a botched or clean shaven haircut the day before Christmas. Upon saying that I will take her home, Sean tells me the cancellation fee will apply. This surprises me and raises a huge red flag, because the purpose of a cancellation fee is to dissuade no-shows. But I showed up, and in fact, it was Sean who refused to do a proper service. I took my dog home anyway and figured they wouldn't be this malicious to me, who has been a loyal customer since 2017. Around 2 o'clock I receive a text alerting me that my maltese was ready for pick up. I obviously can't drop everything immediately to pick her up. 20 minutes later I receive another text message threatening me with another fee if I don't pick her up by 3:30pm. I found this message in extreme poor taste (especially for the folk who work until 5 pm) and it turns out to be a flat out LIE, as in the policy/contract document it states that they charge a fee after close time, which, on a Thursday, is 5 pm. Even Google Maps has them listed as 5pm closing time. So I rush to the groomer and lo and hold, Sean was the last staff there, and clearly wanted to threaten me with another fee so she could close up early. She definitely charged me her bogus cancellation fee by the way. A business this predatory and mean to their clients doesn't deserve to stay in business. Screenshots for proof. read more

I been bringing my dog Luna here for about 2 years and Ms. Maria groomed her very nice! Ms. Maria left before the holidays and I was very disappointed. I brought her back and asked for anyone else besides the male that works there to groom her. So this other woman groomed her. I don't know her name and she called herself being the manager and owner of the shop. I asked for a teddy bear cut, I showed her a picture of how Ms. Maria previously groomed her and she understood what was wanted. I pick my dog up and had to take her to vet that same afternoon. I got home that evening and had not paid attention to how she was groomed because it was late in the evening and my dog was exhausted from a long day. The next morning I observed her grooming and noticed she left her chopped up on her back side. Chopped up on sides and her hair on top of head was not what I asked for. I emailed them on Sunday showing them pictures of what was done and they offered to correct it. She explained that my dog had some matting and had to cut shorter but even if this was the case, you even it out not leave it looking all chopped up!! It was a piss poor cut! She wanted to justify it by saying it was my dogs matting but no! You don't know how to groom and want to play ppl for a fool! She took no ownership to admit she did a poor job and got defensive with me. My schedule on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is too busy and they said anytime before 10 AM is good to drop off. I couldn't make it on those days so I went this morning 2/5/21 @7:35 AM. I walk in and the same woman that groomed her was there and another man. She started to explain that she wasn't expecting my dog and especially on this day "Friday" as its one of their busier days. I explained to her I couldn't come sooner due to work. She stated if she kept her she would have to keep her all day. I asked if someone else could groom her and she stated "No, because she's the one that groomed her" I then said well I was told the manager would be fixing her up and she stated she was the manager. I then said well I don't want you touching her if you were the one that messed her up in the first place. I then asked for an owner name and she said she was the owner also and she was everything there. She began calling me "honey" in a condescending way and I asked her not to call me "honey". I paid $80 for my dog to look like shit! This woman needs to stay behind the desk where I always seen her before! Very rude, defensive and a condescending bitch! She didn't give me any options other than it had to be done by her again! Never will I take my dog back! Ms. Mari was the best there and it's sad she left and this POS of a woman is left there! I have driven by this place countless times. Anywhoo, my doggie Ruby was in serious need of a day at the Doggie Spa (she really needed the works). I called expecting to get in right way, I was wrong. Instead I had to settle for an appointment 3 days later. 3 days later, I bring Ruby in to get the works. The staff was very welcoming of Ruby and me. They knew who Ruby was when we walked in and already knew what she needed. I told them that Ruby has a history of being skittish. They took Ruby and said they would call when she was done. About 3 hours later Ruby is ready. She looked beautiful and they put purple bows in her hair. Ruby looked so happy and trauma free. They said that they gave her a flee dip during her bath and did not charge me extra. And on top of that Ruby got an A+ for being a good doggie during her spa day! What more could a mommy want?! Let's start with the least important matter, they told me one price on the phone and then charged another to my card. I argued but they weren't budging. That is plainly fraud, but it was only $30 so they know there is little I can do. Moving up the ladder of importance, my dog received one of the worst haircuts she ever had in her 10 years. My mom tried her hand at dog grooming once, and that was a real catastrophe. But this one is not all that better. It will be embarrassing going for a walk for a while. They told me my dog was giving them a hard time and she needs more grooming experience. Perhaps, she is a very sensitive dog, but I have a feeling the lack of experience was not her's. Coming back from this place, she seemed a little traumatized. When I took her to another place near Memorial Park (The Dog House Pet Salon) she came back just fine. I feel stupid for switching. During these difficult pandemic times, its tough to write a bad review for a business that may be struggling. Fumbled with cell phone, and 3 rambunctious dogs until 0937, when door opens. Woman answering door asked what I wanted. I told her I had an appointment for my three dogs and she told me that I would have to reschedule 'with Mr. Jose', she obviously KNEW WHO I WAS and WHY I was there. Wow. I don't take my dogs to that shop for the price point, and, I certainly don't take them there for convenience. I could book much cheaper and more suitable to my schedule elsewhere...which I will do from today forward.
