Upon returning from our trip, we were advised no discount because they had to be separated to eat and that took up another kennel. A conversation beforehand would have been nice. This place is fantastic and has so many great reviews for a reason. I started taking my Schnauzer / Yorkie mix, Xena (1 year and 1/2), as I noticed she was incredibly shy and timid around bigger dogs. She grew up around 2 malinois and loved them, but other dogs she seemed very scared and she also needed more socialization with other people. After a bad experience with another doggie daycare that kept her cooped up in a "bay" all day, this place was has been amazing. The facility is set up so that she has her own kennel and area, but she can go out and play as much as she chooses to. She's only been a handful of times and I already notice increased confidence and l less timid around bigger dogs and new people. The staff are very nice and seem like they take really good care of her. She doesn't want to go in the morning, but comes back wagging her tail looking happy. Highly recommend! read more

It was really hard for me to leave my Rossy dog for boarding when we left town for two weeks, but Happy Tails made his first boarding experience a good one! They updated us every few days with a report card that let us know what he was up to and included some pictures of him having fun with his new friends, which was really reassuring. It out my mind at ease every time we got some pictures, especially when we noticed most of them included the staff playing with him. We picked him up hours ago and he still hasn't moved a muscle he's so exhausted, which is the mark of a good play time! He's covered in scrapes which tells me he was outdoors playing as well- if I had a human child I wouldn't expect them to come in from playing without scraped knees once in awhile. The facilities are absolutely beautiful, the staff seemed really interactive with the pets, and my dog can't even lift his head he played so hard for two weeks. I love happy tails!! We just moved to the Denver area and have only boarded our 3 1/2 year old lab once, ever. I was a nervous WRECK! Berthoud is 43 miles north of us, but my husband and I saw the reviews and was like.. worth it! I drive 45 minutes each way and will continue to do so! The staff is INCREDIBLY kind and intuitive. I have been taking my dog to Happy Tails for Daycare for a few months and I couldn't be happier with the way they interact with him and how happy (and tired) he is when I pick him up. He loves to play with the other dogs all day and even though he is generally reluctant to interact with people, he loves the staff. I had concerns about his pads getting torn from running so much after the first time I picked him up and ever since they they put Mushers on his pads and he hasn't had any issues. This place is located in an open space w the beautiful views, so the drive is nice. The pens are clean and nice (although still smelly ))) and outdoors. They have a smaller area and larger area depending on the size and age of the dogs. The staff is very helpful and nice. They also offer free puppy Friday's which is a big plus for us as we have a 4 m o puppy. We are very pleased with the place and will definitely recommend it. read more

The staff are super friendly and organized, the online reservation system is helpful and easy to navigate, and the process is simple and flexible. I've had to make changes to my reservations at the last minute as a result of COVID a few times in the last year and they've always been super responsive and flexible. Clean and spacious, it really is a ranch where dogs can safely roam and play in a professionally supervised setting. I brought Meeka here after seeing she was experiencing some anxiety. She enjoyed the day long activities, which included a midday rest period, followed by more playtime. She came home so relaxed, and it was heartening to know she made some friends. This is above all the best dog daycare program I have encountered thus far. The staff is courteous, accommodating and friendly. A little reluctant about our one dog who we though might not get along with some of the others. The staff at Happy Tails in Berthoud are great. I brought my dogs there for an "evaluation" play date. They came home tired! I received a progress report during the day showing me how much fun my big mutts were having with the other dogs. It was great and my dogs seemed happy when I picked them up. I evaluated them because I will be boarding them for a few days next week (week of Jan 13, 2019). Pleased with the services they offer and their prices are fair. Absolutely love this place!! I have a 70lbs puppy and he loves coming here. They have a huge yard where he can wear himself out, a trainer on-site who does a great job, the kennel floors are heated, and they will also give my pup a rinse if he gets really dirt at no charge. I just moved to Windsor and I thought it would take me forever to get to Berthoud but it was only 15 min. It is easy to see why they called it Happy Tails because of the setting! They have A LOT of enthusiastic dog lovers there taking care of your pets so any apprehension that I had went away. It was clean too. My dogs have stayed here twice now. Once last year and once this year, both around 9 days for each stay. My dogs LOVE this place! They are let out in the large play yard. My dog loves to fetch and someone will throw the ball for him for hours! The report card texts with photos are great too. We were in town for a few days during Christmas visiting family. Some of the things we wanted to do kept us out away from home. Happy Tails was a fantastic experience for my dog! She was able to go and play with dogs who had a similar size and temperament. The on-site trainers did a good job of placing her with a group of dogs that she enjoyed. I couldn't have been happier with the attention and care Sammy received during his evaluation day at Happy Tails. Sammy, a rescue, shows some signs of separation anxiety. The staff greeted Sammy in a very gentle and caring way upon his arrival. The pictures and report card I received midday, was reassuring that all was well. When I inquired about boarding, Tyler was a wonderful guide... knowledgable, attentive, and enthusiastic, he walked me through the facility, explaining what Sammy's day and overnight stay would be like. Tyler addressed all major concerns a pet owner may have when leaving their pet. All of the staff I had the pleasure of interacting with were courteous, attentive, and caring. Our 10 month old Aussie aka "Hallie" has tons of energy... we live in Estes Park with no fenced outdoor space so we were looking for somewhere that she could stretch her legs with like-minded dogs. No problem, plenty of outdoor space at Happy Tails for our high energy famiy member to air it all out!! We loved the mid-day "report card" with photos. She was a happy camper at pick-up, but we were even happier campers later that night as we were allowed to relax as she slept.
