We ordered the the 12 piece dinner as you can see in the photo of their not updated website menu. It says that you get 12 chicken strips, 4 rolls, 1 family sized side and one pint size side. I ordered this meal, plus: As follows 12 Strips The family size and pint mashed potatoes with the gravy on the side. 2 extra pint sized sides: baked beans and coleslaw. Sides of honey mustard dips. My husband got home with our food we unpacked it and for the third time we had no coleslaw. So he grabbed the receipt and went back. I noticed that we didn't got our bread either. So I called ahead to let them know of the missing items. The young person that answered the phone first told me that bread is no longer included as part of the order. They no longer carry bread, they have biscuits and if you want those they are one of your sides or xtra money. ( go online and update your menu!) then she added that it was policy that if he didn't arrive at country school with the bag of food purchased with him, that they would not give us the coleslaw. I was flabbergasted. Two other times we went in with the receipt no food and were given the slaw. Not Today! She went on to tell me that for the inconvenience for having to come back for the coleslaw it was their policy to remake the entire order. I am sorry this does not make any sense to me. You will remake me a whole new $44 order to replace my $2 pint of coleslaw that you charged me $5.29? During my call I went back to the website to re-check the rolls, and if it said anything's it said anything about bringing back the entire order to prove missing items. I did call back to talk to the manager. Waste of time. I will call and talk to the owners son tomorrow and up-date after the call. It may make or break if we ever go back to to country school again. They have changed up the appearance of the place - adding artwork in the building to tie it into the theme, and some curtains between the counter and the back area where the food is cooked. You walk in, look at the menu, make your order and pay. They will provide you with a pager so when you sit down, you know your food is ready. They will set off the pager and call your pager number out. They then had you a plastic bag or bags (depending on your order size) with your food, and you go back to your table. The bag had napkins, 1 fork and 2 sets of chopsticks in it. We found more of the same in the old buffet cart, which is just south of the drink dispenser. With the logistics handled, let's talk about the food. There is the Hibachi section, where they have Chicken, Steak, Shrimp, Salmon, Scallops, Vegetable and Filet Mignon, along with combinations of those. There is the Special Yatta section, which has combinations of Hibachi Chicken and California Roll, with a drink. There is a noodle combo section with all sorts of noddle combos, and then they have a respectable sushi section with 29 different rolls available in "basic", "Special" and "Traditional" varieties. So what did we have? We ordered the Hibachi Combo Fillet Mignon and Shrimp, along with 2 Special Rolls - Torch Salmon and Washington Roll. The Hibachi Fillet Mignon (sic) and Shrimp was good - it came with vegetables, rice (not chicken fried or pork fried, just fried which is fine with me) and then a good portion of both meats. This would be great for one person with an appetite. We shared it and the sushi. The Torch Salmon was heated with a torch - you can hear it when they start it up. It was a warm roll, and was quite good. The Washington Roll was also very tasty and was served chilled (not torched). Both sushi rolls came with ginger and wasabi. The wasabi was respectably hot, as expected. They also have appetizers on the menu. To help you out, I have included both sides of the menu in the photos. The drink machine is your typical 8 or 10 selection unit. The drinks tasted fine. This is a restaurant we need in Rochelle. It offers variety that is much needed. Give it a try!
