Phil saved me from an international flight cancellation out of San Diego, and got me to Los Angeles, on the spur of the moment. My first flight of the day, after Phil drop in off from San Diego airport, was canceled at 4:30AM, just as Phil had dropped me off, and wheelchair assistance took over. No advance notification at all! There were no additional flights out from Alaska Airlines that would get me to connecting flight to China that morning. And I was going to lose 3 vacation days if I couldn't figure out a way to (hopefully) get to LAX. Not my original plan. Needless to say, this wasn't a cheap trip, but Alaska said they would pay (I haven't started that battle yet), and I have trip insurance. So I haven't been reimbursed yet, but I did make it to China, to meet up with my family there. But what a nightmare. And Phil's quick customer response and availability were awesome in this case. I need a little extra help at airports, with luggage, and all, and then always have wheelchair support waiting. This service is so badly needed in the disability community. He has vehicles that accommodate wheelchairs, manual and power, and scooters as well, if that is needed. Want to let everyone know how Happy2Help rode to my rescue. I needed to find a ride home from the hospital today, so I called Happy 2 Help Transportation. The Owner of the company, Phil Fowler, answered my phone call late last night. He was able to schedule an appointment to pick me up. Not only was he on time, he is an excellent driver. I just had hip surgery, and I am unable to walk on my own. He not only helped me up the stairs to my condo, but he brought all of my bags upstairs for me. Forget about Uber, forget about Lyft, his prices are VERY reasonable. I use a manual wheelchair and needed transport to see my wife when she landed in skilled nursing after a fall. I chose Happy2Help and am glad I did. Every aspect was first rate. It sure is the best reliable transportation I've ever dealt with. Ten minutes before pick up ,Mando called me that he will be arriving in 10 mins. and then, when he got to the front of the house he called me again to say that he is waiting. And, he tried to assist me (although i don't need any assistance ), in getting out of the car. He reassured me that there will be a car to come and bring me back home and gave me the business card. Then, when I was ready to be discharged the RN called them and the co-owner, Beatriz, was there and helped me get in the car making sure that I had my seat belt on. My husband, who is disabled, and I were visiting San Diego for a wedding, and are in need of transport to balboa Park. I was having no luck in finding a handicap transport to and from the wedding. I had a colonoscopy performed at the San Diego Endoscopy Center on 12/20 - The procedure was excellent. The problem was transportation there and back. I was told I could not use Uber or Taxi as there may be medical complications after the procedure and they recommend "Happy to Help" transportation as they had LVN (licensed vocational nurse) drivers who could deal with any medical emergency. Though I lived only 6 miles away - I understood and was willing to pay the $50.00 quoted to me for the service. I was picked up on time by a young lady in a Prius - the car was freezing and she was playing loud rap music - I asked her if she was a LVN and she did not even know what LVN stood for - she told me she was a driver. She drove as though we were late to the appointment and I did not feel all that safe. I arrived on time and spent considerable time with the nurses trying to warm me up so they could find a vain to administer the medication required for the procedure. All went well with the colonoscopy and when I left, there was a gentleman in a van to take me home. I also asked him if he was a LVN and he stated no. I was taken to my apartment complex and dropped off at the entrance.  The next day I noticed on my bank statement that that "Happy to Help" had charged my account $75.00. I then received an email from them stating that there was an additional charge of $25.00 for "Mileage". When I called them, they admitted that there was a charge error and that I should have only been charged $8.00 for mileage. Additional charge for mileage was never mentioned when I booked the transportation. My complaint is that I could have taken Uber for $15.00 - I see no difference in the service that was provided that they want to charge me $58.00 for. There were no LVN's in case of a medical emergency, and I was also told that the driver was supposed to accompany me to my apartment to ensure that I arrived safely rather than just dropping me off at the apartment complex entrance. I had a phone conversation with Phil at "Happy to Help" and he told me that "as a small business, my complaint was unfair" and alluded to the fact that my complaint was unwarranted. Phil the owner was very professional and on time and helpful the first two times I used him to transport my husband in a wheelchair to the hospital for MRI testing. The third time he stood me up because he did not put our appointment on his calendar. He even had the audacity to ask if I could change the MRI appointment to suit his schedule. This is terrible business practices and so stressful to me because you can't get another medical transport at the last minute and we could not miss this appointment. I'm so GLAD I found this company. I moved to San Diego a couple years ago and don't have any family or friends close by. I've had cancer 5 times and multiple surgeries and procedures. It's very difficult to find medical transport that's not crazy expensive. I recently had a surgical biopsy procedure that wouldn't be a big deal so I didn't want my mom to have to fly into town just to drive me 4 miles to get home. I got estimates from other companies from $60-$160 for a 4 MILE ride home, not needing wheelchair or additional assistance. I just needed a ride home that the hospital would release me to. Not only were they a lot more reasonable cost wise they were reliable and flexible. My surgery was running very late due to the anesthesiologist not being there and they didn't know where she was at first, so I had to email happy2help to let them know this surgery could end hours later then I originally signed up for. Thankfully they were able to accommodate me. I think with some other companies I would have gone under anxious wondering if the ride would be there. The driver was there out front after they released me and she was very nice. She knew I couldn't talk and let me sit quietly. This will help me feel more comfortable knowing I have an option for rides now for medical stuff. I highly recommend them. read more

Well I tried to use this company. I emailed them (as one of the options given on website) and gave them plenty of time to respond. No response so sent them a second email. Finally got a response. Once I was able to confirm times I sent them all the info. And waited again for a response. Nothing. So I resent the info and finally got a response after sending it a second time. Twice now I had to do this. I wonder if they even want my business.. Then we exchanged a couple of emails which at one point I had to ask the persons name because they don't sign a name as if they don't want you to know who you are talking with. I always address my emails to the person I am responding to and thank them with their name as well. Beatriz finally told me her name and then mentioned to go to their website to fill out the form and once I do that she will then send me the invoice to pay the deposit. Well its been a full two days days now since I did the form and have yet to be able to make a confirm reservation, pay a deposit, etc. Haven't heard from them. I even asked them how to pay for the deposit, how to pay for the "ride", etc and that is what she told me. Its been well over a week since I attempted to contact them and I can't get anywhere. I feel like I have to beg them to get responses and start a reservation which they haven't followed through with. This was our only option for transportation as we have no other options so now I am back to square one figuring out what to do because this company is obviously unreliable and I need a professional reliable company. They had such good reviews but they probably delete all the bad ones. And I was so excited about having a company like this here to utilize since the company we always used went out of business during the pandemic. And our county lacks accessible transportation big time so this company is so needed but I can't risk them not showing up. And why should I have to keep begging them to get a reservation, quote, etc. I still haven't been able to. So moving on. read more
