    Burger and fries

Driving back from up north we stopped here on the way home. The service was friendly. The bathroom wasn't yet open to the public. The hard ice cream wasn't that good. The soft serve was better. Fries delicious! Burgers were ok. I think it was REALLY expensive for what it was. I can see the nostalgia of a place like this which I appreciate. And, it definitely wasn't worth the price to me. Probably wouldn't stop here again except that it is conveniently located.

Still not open inside. Burger good but bun just okay. I had an awesome turtle flurry!

Open for drive thru ONLY (at least for now), no bathrooms but the playground and picnic tables are open. Luckily we had hand sanitizer in our vehicle to wash our hands before eating our cheeseburger and sloppy Joe.

OMG how can you not be happy after eating at Happy's? Their burgers are delicious and their ice cream scoops are ginormous. Also the Mac and cheese bites were so good. I hope whenever I come back that we drive past this place again to eat. It also seems very family-friendly due to the play structures outside. It's a fun little drive in with great food.

Well I finally stopped. I have driven by this place many times and did it again today. Then I made the U-turn. With an inside and outside play area, kids will be able to exhaust a lot of energy! They even had a basketball court. Unknown if you need your own ball? The court even had spectator benches! Ordering is a challenge and the clerk looked like she was "happy" with my difficulty. Menu behind the counter, on the counter and after my struggle to order a combo, I found what I was looking for on the wall to my left. Otherwise service was very good. Under 10 minutes food delivery. Food was hot and a step up from fast-food. Plenty of fries but certainly from a frozen bag. I asked clerk what's up with the name. Apparently owners wanted a fun place to eat. Certainly fun for kids!! The jackpot was the huge scoop of Kemp's peppermint bon bon. Worth the $2.50! The meal deal was a little pricey but I guess this is tourist country. Worth a stop.

This is a go to stop going to the cabin. Food is always hot. Tasty. And decently priced.

Make sure to always check your McDonald's app for deals and reward points. We had to wait for fresh French fries but that is not a bad thing. Order: Big Arch meal. First time trying this new burger. I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the look and taste of the white and black sesame seed bun. The lettuce, onion and pickles added the crunch and freshness. The Big Mac sauce is always delicious. The star of the show were the crispy onion bits that added crunch and texture with each bite. This was a better version of the Big Mac with more crunch and without the useless middle bun. Fries were hot and crispy. I always get a Diet Coke... if you know you know. 10 piece chicken nugget with bbq and sweet/sour sauce for $2 with my app deal. Always good. The pro tip is to dip the nugget first in bbq and then into the sweet/sour sauce... and yes that is the order because the bbq sauce is thicker than the ss sauce. Try the other way but trust me it is not the same.

For generations, it…read morehas been a must-visit destination for travelers heading, making it much more than just a restaurant. It's a Minnesota tradition. As soon as I announced I was going to Hinckley everyone who had been told me I just had to try Tobie's. What makes Tobies special is the combination of comfort food, an incredible bakery, and the nostalgic feeling that comes with walking through the doors. Fresh-baked breads, pastries, pies, cookies, and their famous caramel rolls line the bakery shelves, while their signature cornbread is a favorite that many visitors take home. Be sure to browse the gift shop, where you'll find locally made products, snacks, and their popular popcorn blends that make great road trip treats or souvenirs. Whether you're stopping for breakfast before exploring the area, grabbing lunch on your way to a Hinckley Knights game, or picking up baked goods for the drive home, Tobies is part of the experience. Our favorites were the apple fritter and the caramel roll. We also picked up bread and English muffins. If we had any more room we would have tried the ice cream, but there is always next time.

We made our stop about 8am on a Sunday in June. We didn't go to the sit-down restaurant, just the bakery counter. We picked out an apple fritter, maple fried roll, and cinnamon roll. My husband had a coffee, too. I'm very glad they had napkins and also packaged moist towelettes for us to take as we headed out. Everything was quite good. The apple fritter was special because it was still warm, and so fresh that it still had an airy texture. The bite of maple fried roll I had was good. The bulk of the cinnamon roll was mine, and wow, it was fantastic. I loved the generous amount of frosting, and the bread was soft and good. There are many more things here I want to try, but they will need to wait for another trip north!
