Incredible Halloween display worthy of separate admission fee especially the hall to the restroom. Beware!! We strayed off the beaten path to find this gem! Fabulous attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff. Food was plentiful and cooked to order. We had a fantastic lunch at reasonable prices. Thank you!

    Everything omelette

Food was amazing highly recommend if you're going through Onamia to stop here at this restaurant.

Busy breakfast/lunch spot. Seems popular with the locals. Really cute spooky Halloweeen decor. Good assortment of breakfast and lunch classics. Very nice staff.

For what this place is, it is excellent. Classic Cabin country diner with home made food and a big selection of homemade pies. Ordered the hot beef sandwich, and where some will use the box potatoes and the pre made meat and gravy from Sysco, these guys do it from scratch. No overly salted junk here. Also shared a few pies with my mom and felt like I was back at grandmas. So good, we went twice during our stay. I don't expect instant/obsequious service in a place like this, so I wouldn't put too much stock in the reviews complaining about slow service or whatever.

Solid, small-town cafe breakfast food, served by an older gal with an attitude, which was kind of fun. I had the everything omelet and my wife had pancakes. Both were good. The coffee wasn't so good. I'd still go back, just to support these dying establishments.

    Here is my delicious meal.

Real mashed potatoes with homemade roast beef sandwich all smothered in delicious gravy. Kind service, generous portions, great price, and very convenient stop if you're headed north on 169. Glad I stopped!

FaSt service, clean enough; food average. I wouldn't rush to go back. But it wasn't a bad meal, just average.

For generations, it…read morehas been a must-visit destination for travelers heading, making it much more than just a restaurant. It's a Minnesota tradition. As soon as I announced I was going to Hinckley everyone who had been told me I just had to try Tobie's. What makes Tobies special is the combination of comfort food, an incredible bakery, and the nostalgic feeling that comes with walking through the doors. Fresh-baked breads, pastries, pies, cookies, and their famous caramel rolls line the bakery shelves, while their signature cornbread is a favorite that many visitors take home. Be sure to browse the gift shop, where you'll find locally made products, snacks, and their popular popcorn blends that make great road trip treats or souvenirs. Whether you're stopping for breakfast before exploring the area, grabbing lunch on your way to a Hinckley Knights game, or picking up baked goods for the drive home, Tobies is part of the experience. Our favorites were the apple fritter and the caramel roll. We also picked up bread and English muffins. If we had any more room we would have tried the ice cream, but there is always next time.

We made our stop about 8am on a Sunday in June. We didn't go to the sit-down restaurant, just the bakery counter. We picked out an apple fritter, maple fried roll, and cinnamon roll. My husband had a coffee, too. I'm very glad they had napkins and also packaged moist towelettes for us to take as we headed out. Everything was quite good. The apple fritter was special because it was still warm, and so fresh that it still had an airy texture. The bite of maple fried roll I had was good. The bulk of the cinnamon roll was mine, and wow, it was fantastic. I loved the generous amount of frosting, and the bread was soft and good. There are many more things here I want to try, but they will need to wait for another trip north!
