I used to frequent this place LOT more, years back, before I started working second shift, but even the last time I visited, which granted, WAS nearly a year ago now, this bar and grill was to die for. As a couple other reviews have mentioned, the cheesecake MAKES this place, and if you don't like cheesecake, well, I'd say don't bother going, but then you'd miss out on all the delicious FOOD and DRINKS they have to offer! I'm personally fond of the Reuben, and one other sandwich I can't think of the name of, but it's soaked in brandy or something... ‍ And I don't drink alcohol, or I'd have something to say about THAT, but I do know they have a variety of libations on tap, if that's what you're into. personally, I go for the non-alcoholic Shirley Temple, which is served with a and a ! Food-wise, I try'n stick with whatever the daily special is, though I tend towards seafood in general. The steaks are cooked to perfection, as is everything they make! read more

BEE CAREFUL, YOU MIGHT GET " S T U N G " HERE This looked interesting, and we were hungry for lunch. Walked in and went, WOW, how clean! It is a cute fisherman type bar on a lovely lake. Bellied up to the bar, and ordered drinks from a very nice bartender, Menu was righteous, oh boy, this is gonna be great! Downhill fast from there. Couldn't even taste the vodka in the cocktail. No IPA available, but beer was cold. We ordered 3 items off the menu and they all were practically inedible. Cheese curds were frozen from a factory, not worth the cheese curd calories :-( Soup was pure mush, but flavorful. Nothing like a mushy dumpling. Chicken salad tasted like chemicals, probably from french bottled dressing or lettuce soaked in chemicals. Yes, it took awhile to get our food, and no, not many other people in there. Food is excellent! Have been here several times in the past few years and have always had great food. However, the last time we were there 2 weeks ago, our waitress had a major attitude problem. Not sure why she did, but she was rude, sarcastic and argumentative, which is unacceptable. I was in no way being a difficult customer. I did contact the owner via their Facebook Page Review section and she (Dorothy) left me a Private MSG apologizing for this, assured me she would be dealing with the waitress and told me to ask for her the next time we stopped in so she could say "Hi". I appreciated that. The food was still great regardless, so we will be back again...soon. Just will avoid having that same waitress. ETA: Stopped by again on a recent Sunday for breakfast. As usual, the food was excellent. This time, the waitress, I think her name is Matilda(?), was great and Dorothy, the owner, stopped by to apologize for our last unfavorable experience. It was my birthday coming up that Tuesday, so she gifted my with a complimentary piece of their famous cheesecake of my choice (I got the cherry) and it was to-die-for! Matilda is the cheesecake maker and she is talented, I tell ya! I am changing my rating from 4 star to 5 star. Dorothy really knows how to treat customers right! read more

Absolutely awful. There were 6 of us and not one good meal in the bunch. I had a chicken fajita wrap...lots of shredded lettuce and very little else. One person ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese...after 4 tries finally got the order right. The ceasar salad was shredded lettuce and a few pieces of chicken that were as dry as the croutons. never again!!! They say I have to pick a star rating..so I will say 1, only because they have no negative stars. read more

The food we had tonight was good but I think this is the worst service I've ever had in my life. Our waitress was the only server/bartender and I think she'd had a long day. She snapped at us, cut us off when we were talking, and used pretty rude sarcasm to answer our questions about the menu. We blew this off as just a personality trait. What bothered us was our son had an accident and spilled his pop. We immediately started cleaning it because we don't expect others to clean up our mistake and when she came by, we asked for a towel or napkins so we could clean it. She ignored us and came back about 5 minutes later, literally stopped to stare at our son, shake her head and roll her eyes, then start cleaning it. I tried to help her and got some pop on her wrist and she jumped away from the table and glared again at me. We apologized again and she just ignored us. I feel bad for the situation but as someone that was a server for many years, I can't fathom being that rude to people. We will never go to this restaurant again because she created such a horrible and uncomfortable atmosphere. read more

This place is AMAZING!!! Melinda makes the best homemade cheesecakes (with many varieties to choose from). The food is fresh and delicious .. I go here all the time and have never been disappointed! From reading other reviews I am not sure we visited the same restaurant as those people but it does have the same name and is in the same location so it must be. Our experience was very pleasant from the service to the ambience to the food. The dining area with a great view of Ann Lake is nicely decorated and our server was friendly and helpful. We were not here at a busy time which might make a difference but we received our meals in less than 10 minutes from ordering. I had a hamburger which was excellent on a toasted bun and the cole slaw which was very creamy and good. My husband had a BBQ cheeseburger on grilled toast with French fries that were hot and crispy. He was equally pleased with his meal. I recommend McBee's. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because the cheesecake cooler located near our table was noisy. read more

Great food and service. Nicely remodeled a few years ago. Good flat parking lot to host biker runs. Huge outside deck and patio area for fun and meeting up with friends. Homemade pizza gets a 10. Blonde waitress with glasses look like she is too young to be serving alcohol however. Up north rules, gotta love it. read more

Great food and view. This is a typical "up north" bar and grill overlooking Ann Lake. We ate outside and thoroughly enjoyed the view. The burgers and hand cut fries were well prepared, although it took a bit for them to come out. For dessert a piece of homemade cheesecake is a must! So many different flavors that it was hard to pick one. We have family that just moved to the area so we will definitely be back. read more

Rented one of their cabins on the lake....walls were full of mold. ceiling was caving in. no window screens, and the boat was almost sunk when we arrived. Talked with the owners about the issues and their response was "Too Bad". Never, ever go here. read more

McBee's has a beautiful deck view of Ann Lake and the food is good but I am thinking the positive are not worth the one and half hour (1 1/2) wait to receive the food. They have a problem serving in a reasonable amount of time. I have been there four times and experienced the same long wait for food. read more

Wonderful, wonderful service by Malinda, cold drinks spot on, food was wonderful and the deck provided the perfect ambiance.

Their cabins are Horrible! DO NOT waste your time or money!! Cabin was filled with dead bugs, oven/stove did not work, walls and ceiling had water damage and mold, the light in one of the rooms was hanging out of the ceiling and did not work, and the list goes on!!! The owners could care less, all they care about is getting your money. read more
