    Harambre Salad with chicken
    Abe A.

The Harambe Fruit Market is locate at Animal Kingdom, in Africa. The seating arrangement here is all outdoors and first come first serve. When my wife and I arrived we got our seats first. Once we were seated we then ordered our food on the Disney Mobile app. We both orders the Harambe Salad with chicken. It is essentially a Mediterranean with Pepperoncini, Olives, Cucumber, Tomato, and Feta served with a Vinaigrette Dressing. Also comes with 2 slices of Pita bread. The salad was truly delicious. The grilled chicken was moist, well seasoned. The greens were fresh and crisp. The Cucumbers and tomatoes also were fresh. The feta cheese was tangy, rich and slightly salty. Olives added a nice salt element. The vinaigrette ties everything together. I really like this location. The meals are light. Which is perfect when it's blazing hot. It's nice to eat somewhere on Disney property, that has more than burger and fries. Harambe Fruit Market has a great menu. Bowls and Salads. Get the Grilled Corn on the Cob with the African Spices (spices are optional but it was delicious!). They basically dunk the corn in a vat of butter- HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG?!? It was a delicious and refreshing snack on the go. I only wish I had gotten my own instead of shared - LOL

    Mickey pretzel!!

Quick, easy grab and go food! Cause I have to keep typing you can find chips, fruit, etc....

This is a great quick snack location inside Animal Kingdom at Disney World. Harambe Fruit Market is one of the first quick snack places to actually open up in Animal Kingdom, with start hours early. Harambe Fruit Market offers a variety of fresh fruit, ice creams, popcorn, and even a Mickey Mouse Pretzel with cheese sauce! There is outside seating located next to Harambe Fruit Market. We ended up getting a Pretzel with Cheese Sauce, popcorn and a few other goodies from here! The Mickey Pretzel was fresh and yummy. Not too salty!

It's a quick easy option for those looking to keep it healthy and lite while snacking in the Animal Kingdom AND it's a quick easy option for those of us wanting to enjoy and uber fatty jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzel for $4.50. I'm part of the latter. the BF and I got a total of 5 of those damned delicious pretzels in our two visits to the Kingdom. It may have been the most delicious piece of cheezy goodness that I have ever shoved into my mouth. Here's my 5 star toast to uber fatty spicy pretzels! I still have dreams about those bad boys.

for breakfast, always -- jalapeno cream cheese pretzel !

All you need to know about this place is that they sell JALAPENO CREAM CHEESE PRETZELS !! One of the absolute best snacks on property, period. These things are massive, thick(just look at my photo!) and filled with a warm, spicy, cream cheesey goodness that oozes out with every bite. Baked with a generous sprinkle of cheese, the consistency is also a perfect chewy texture. I have one for breakfast with every trip to the Animal Kingdom, munching while on line for Kilimanjaro Safari. So. good. Just to be more thorough, Harambe Fruit Market is merely a cart. There is no seating in the immediate area. They also sell other healthy items such as assorted fruit, beverages, blahblahblah just get the pretzel.

Got the chicken skewers. Came with a pea salad (black eyed peas, corn and pico). Chicken was pretty good, little to no fat. Pea salad was okay. Quick service. The corn dog is a sausage wrapped in gyro bread.

There are acres of blueberries growing in neat rows, and they're full of fruit. You enter the farm, park in a grassy field, grab a bucket at a table by the orchard, and head out to pick. The helpful people who give you the buckets tell you a bit about the varieties that they grow, and about the colored streamers on each row that tell you which variety is growing there. Here in Central Florida it gets hot early in the year, so the plants fruit early. What's comfy for the plants is comfy for us, so picking is usually in great weather. When you've finished picking enough, you take the bucket back to the table and pay for what you picked. By comparison, what costs you $8 at a store like Walmart costs you $6 at Beck Brothers farm. So go now, or plan for next April, and get enough blueberries to make your jam, your ice cream, your muffins and pies. Freeze the excess and you'll always be ready to eat the berries that your family and friends picked on a lovely Spring day.

They offer several types of u-pick fruits, veggies and sunflowers at different times of the year. They have a fun zone area and food trucks. The only thing I don't see on this farm are animals. I love that they allow the 5K races at least once a year. With those races, you usually get blueberry pancakes and a pint container to pick your own blueberries from at least 6 fields. There were 2 available to pick from when we were there. Plump and sweet blueberries are to be had if you know how to pick them. Don't let the bees scare you off. Leave them alone and you will be fine, unless someone in the next aisle pissed them off. They have peaches, sunflowers and strawberries to pick as well. I noticed the map also shows veggies but not sure when or which kind are available but nice to know. I love the observation deck above the gift shop. Amazing views of the farm and surrounding land with plenty of seating to take it all in while you enjoy a cup of coffee from the gift shop. I hope they can hang on to this land once the developments continue closing in on this rare property.

There was a nice variety of vendors selling crafts, fresh foods, baked goods, and more, along with live music that gave the market a lively, welcoming atmosphere. We considered buying a loaf of bread but decided to pass this time. My son ordered a coconut drink served inside a pineapple, which was a fun experience. The ironic part is that he's mildly allergic to pineapple, so he only drank the coconut water while my husband happily ate the pineapple itself! It gave us a laugh, and I reminded my son that next time it's perfectly okay to ask if the drink can be served another way or to mention his allergy before ordering. Overall, this is a charming little market that fits the character of the town. It's a great place to wander, browse, listen to music, and enjoy the local atmosphere. I don't know how many times I would need to go here but it was a fun stop for us. It was very sunny out so make sure you wear a hat or take a walk by the water where there are trees and benches.

This trip, though, there was absolutely no Disney involved -- and we finally stopped here on our way home Sunday morning. I feel like you know you're getting older when you get excited about grocery shopping. Normally when I go to Publix, I'm irritated before I even get inside. But this place? A completely different experience. Walking through and seeing all the locally grown vegetables and the meat selection -- clearly labeled as hormone-free and without all the extra junk you get at typical grocery stores -- was honestly mind-blowing. The prices were so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I purposely brought a cooler for the two-hour drive home, and even with everything I bought, I didn't spend over $100. If I had purchased the same items at Publix, I'm convinced I would've been close to (or over) $200. Beyond the prices, the quality and overall vibe made it so enjoyable. You're not breaking the bank feeding your family, and you feel good knowing you're getting better-quality food. The staff was incredibly sweet and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking for boneless chicken, and one of the employees asked if that's what I needed. A few minutes later, he came back with multiple packs in his hands to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I really appreciated it. One thing to know: the produce and meat sections are in two separate, unconnected rooms, so you check out separately in each. And if you're still riding that high from all the money you saved, there's soft-serve ice cream outside with seating -- which just makes the experience even better. For someone who truly despises grocery shopping, this was actually fun. I will absolutely make a special trip to Orlando just to come back here -- and next time, I'm bringing a bigger cooler.
