Services are on Sundays from 10-Noon and there are other activities during the week. The people that attend church here are friendly, humble and easy going. The people I interacted with were happy to help with questions I had. Everyone is welcome here, of any age or demographic. There are Sunday School classes for children as well as adults.

The Union Gospel Mission is a chain of Christian homeless shelters. They have church on Sundays,…read moreoffer free showers from 3-5 pm, have a clothing bank open 3-4:30 pm, and offer meals. The meals are served Monday-Friday with breakfast at 7, lunch at noon, and dinner at 7. On Saturday, brunch is at 10:30 and dinner at 4. On Sunday, breakfast is 7:30 and dinner is at 4. The mission also has a furniture bank, women/children services, shelter and a free store. I have donated care kits to them that have hygiene products and snacks. I did this again on 4/12 with the help of friends.

No one is…read moreallowed to go in there and check in for shelter for the night .They're not taking in people, but they're still asking for donations and misrepresenting to the public. I donated to them for years on a monthly basis and they're turning people away and not sheltering people and it's the only shelter in grays harbor for people who are homeless who might be in a dire situation. The reason they are using is because of the heavy cold and Flu season. but people that are sick that are homeless and on the street need a place to go. The only place to go in Grays Harborthis is not good. I don't know how they can fix this, but turning people away just because there's it's cold or flu season. This is not an epidemic like it was in 2020 or I'm not even sure if it was in 2020 but whatever. Either way, what are some people supposed to do? And if a person who is homeless is sick, I guess we're supposed to just take him into our house so we can spread it into every part of the community. I don't know what we're supposed to do. Let him die on the street, but either way the Union Gospel mission will never get another notation Nation from me or and I'm going to discourage anyone from donating any money to them until we find out what the heck's going on here. !

The preaching at this church is absolutely phenomenal…read more I had moved to Shores a couple years ago and did not anticipate I would find a church I could become a member of. There are many reasons behind my thinking. Bottom line, I had become disillusioned. I started visiting Faith Community Church here and there after my daughters told me about how active the youth ministry was in the community and learning about all they do with the kids. I'm a single mother. I visited the church because I wanted to be supportive of what they were doing to help my daughters. I eventually became a member because the preaching is spectacular. I have no idea how a little coastal community that is practically off the grid ended up with someone like Pastor Michael. There is nothing more powerful in this world than a biblical message of Truth preached with such conviction. I'm thrilled to be part of this church home.

We were married by Pastor Linda on 9/10/19. I contacted the church when we decided to elope while…read moreon vacation. Pastor Linda responded and graciously agreed to marry us. Although I grew up Presbyterian, I'm not religious. My husband, Joe wanted to get married in a church so I agreed. She conducted a spiritual but not religious ceremony. It was a lovely day and light was streaming through the stained glass window. Pastor Linda believes in "meeting people where they are" whether that includes being Presbyterian or not. Joe and plan to attend church next time we visit Moclips. They couldn't be more warm, accepting, and welcoming. We don't have anymore pictures yet or I'd include more inside the church.
