The Story of Excellence and the Story of the Two Kens:…read more This review is not about the congregation or organization *per se.* I write today to cite Pastor Ken Ford for Excellence in ministerial duty. During a family medical crisis (several of them over the past year) & subsequent memorial service, he stepped into the gap in his capacity as Mason County Fire Department Chaplain on MANY levels and helped the people who were hurting the most. He went *way* above and beyond the call of duty and was God honoring every step of the way. The other issues mentioned by Ken H.? I don't know. I didn't witness them myself nor did I see evidence let alone documentation of them. I hope that Ken H. is mistaken. But if he is correct, then the truth about it will leak out. No one can hide hate for long. The evidence that I saw was just about the exact opposite. At the memorial, a 60 something year old cross-dresser (a neighbor of my deceased family member) was present. Nobody said a negative word to him (that I heard). Pastor Ken Ford sat with him and other family members for a long while. And he (the cross dresser) was there from beginning to clean up. I would think that if anyone had hassled him, we (my wife, myself, my family) would have heard about it and stopped it. You would think that if he were hassled, he might well have left. Again, I hope that Ken H. is mistaken. If he's correct, I hope that the problem(s) will be amended forthwith. Again, kudos to pastor Ken Ford.

The pastor is gifted at opening up the Bible and helping people see deeper and understand. I've been in the Christian faith all my life and I've studied the Bible for over 35 years and I learned new things today! The people were great and there was good diversity. They seem balanced and not given to extremes. Highly recommend.

I am changing my work schedule so I can attend every Sunday because I need to be spiritually fed. If I can't make it, I will use the other resources they provide to connect and make my relationship with the Lord as strong as it can be.

There are many reasons behind my thinking. Bottom line, I had become disillusioned. I started visiting Faith Community Church here and there after my daughters told me about how active the youth ministry was in the community and learning about all they do with the kids. I'm a single mother. I visited the church because I wanted to be supportive of what they were doing to help my daughters. I eventually became a member because the preaching is spectacular. I have no idea how a little coastal community that is practically off the grid ended up with someone like Pastor Michael. There is nothing more powerful in this world than a biblical message of Truth preached with such conviction. I'm thrilled to be part of this church home.

This Church was literally a God sent when we first arrived at Ocean Shores. We bought a lot and had…read moreto wait for our manufactured home to arrive. We lived in a RV while waiting for several months. We had no running water, no electricity and to do laundry was $4. a load. Towards the end I was getting free cloths from the church and they also have a free lunch on Friday's for EVERYONE from 11 to 1 PM. Now that we are on our feet and in our home: I cannot thank this church enough! Ocean Shores has a very large homeless population and this church really steps up and does MORE then there share to help in the community. And the minister is a very lovely women!
