I lived here for 9 years. 9 years too long. Paid my rent on time every month. Took care of my unit. When it came time to move out, which I should have done years prior, the process was handled very unprofessionally, and the staff displayed a level of unprofessionalism and incompetence to a degree I have not known previously. A month to month tenant is only required to give a 30 day notice unlike an yearly tenant which is required to give a 60 day notice. I went into office on a Thursday afterwork to give my 30 day notice to vacate the apartment on Sept. 26, 2025, more than 30 days notice. There was only 1 person in office working that day. She gave a "look". I gave her my 30 notice and asked her if they needed anything in writing. She said no. I thought to myself that that could not be correct. She said they have to do a final walk thru. They did not do a full walk thru. The staff who I was working with, whom I won't mention here, did not retain any information I communicated to her through out the entire process. A level of incompetence I've never dealt with at this complex. When she came to do the walk thru I asked her again if I needed something in writing to vacate and she then hands me a transfer to another apartment within the complex when I shared with her the name of a completely different complex I was moving to several times. I was then handed of the the general manager who was no better. Since nothing being done with this simple transaction. I had to make sure I called the office everyday and visit every other day to stay on top of them to make sure I was in the system to vacate so I would not have to pay for another month. The general manager eventually told me that I did need to fill something out to vacate, which I knew to be the case. I gave my notice 35 days in advance on 25th of Sept. She tells me to sign vacate paperwork on the 8th of Oct. And then on the 22nd of Oct another general manager has me sign real vacate form because the office had no 30 day notices only 60 day notice forms which was also unprofessional. When I filled out the first transfer paperwork on 8th of Oct, I backed dated it to reflect the actual date notice was given. I explained to her that I gave my notice to the other worker on the 25th of September to move out on Oct. 31st. She sent an email to see if I had to pay rent up until the 8th of November. I explained to her again that I more than gave a 30 day notice and that I will not be responsible for paying rent up until Nov. 8th as I was out by the 31st of Oct. I called everyday to make sure that I was out of the system on move out day. I should not have had to go through all of this trouble for something so simple. I didn't receive my security deposit. If the staff who did the walk thru thanked me for taking care of the unit, why was my security deposit not returned. The wear and tear on my apartment was normal and I did request the bath tub and caulking be redone which was not honored. I froze every winter. The windows were the original windows from the 60's when the buildings were built. One year I did ask for new windows and they basically laughed in my face and said that is not how that works. The heater in the apartments are not suitable. 2 weeks before I moved out there was a drive by shooting on my side of the building and they shot up someones car so I knew it was time to go. Like most apartment buildings, the walls are thin and you can hear everything. People play loud music, loud tvs, fight argue and the dogs which are not allowed got out of hand. Kids and young adults love to kick doors and run off. One time someone left their bath water running a few floors up and left for work!?! It started overflowing and leaking into my apartment. Once figured out where the water was coming from early that morning with the help of another neighbor getting if from 3rd shift at Amazon, called maintenance, 911, fire department and no one helped. So if you are desperately looking for somewhere to live, by all means look here at your own risk. Document and picture everything. read more

Well from the looks of it, I have been saved from the massive headache of being a tenant. It seems as if they pick and choose with their own discretion. I followed everything that was asked. My credit score is above their qualifications. I repeatedly sent my check stubs and bank statement. Then they requested an offer letter. Why am I being asked for extra documents when the ones I sent qualified me for a measly $585, when my income allows me to rent a $900 unit. Then I come on yelp to write a review and see horrible pictures it neglected repairs. Thank the Universe for disqualifying me from living in a foundation of luxurious slum. read more

Only if the resident is aquatic... Do to constant flooding in some apartments. I specifically mean constantly flooding. One weekend the apartment I was renting flooded three separate items. There is no security and the surveillance cameras do not work. One of the cameras has a bird nest in it. read more

BEWARE, K&D charges a holding fee $199. Once you pay it, it's gone cuckoo (not refundable). Insist on seeing the apartment first. After the $50 app fee is paid, remove your bank info from K&D website and do not sign the Rental Agreement before viewing your future apartment. Better safe than sorry. Strange things could happen before you move in. I didn't get to tour the apartment for the reasons unknown. Toured the building only and even then, was requested to leave my drivers license at the rental office because "in case something happens to us." I don't know what they're talking about. I am a grandma in my 60's and am flabbergasted by this request. But did as told. The garage was as dark as can be, although Ms Toya Rogers claimed that this was in accordance with the city requirements. Hmmm. Makes you wonder about the city of Euclid. The roads btw are full of potholes, the bigger ones are on E 260th street. I both lived and worked in Euclid back in the day, but it sure changed over the years. read more

Terrible apartment building, roaches in the hallway, roaches everywhere! Apartment flooded last year took them days for the so called maintenance man to attempt to fix it, water was running in the walls from the above apartment! By the time they came had mold in the cabinets, carpet was soaked, ceiling was leaking, management did nothing to replace none of the lost items! Apartment freezing had to buy heaters because they control the furnace, makes no sense how bad the apartments are considering they charge so much for rent! They should be ashamed! read more

I've had several water leak issues in the 9 months I have been here. I can't do this another year. I will be contacting my renter's insurance again because emergency maintenance said my water leak is not an emergency even though its dripping through the ventilation fan in the ceiling and other places where the ceiling has bubbled up. I won't be renewing my lease. read more

it hasn't Even been a month since i moved in here and I'm already having problems this would be my first apartment ever and this is completely ruined my experience. The hallways always smell like trash and flies and nats are coming from the hallway entering my home..Also there's a leakage above me and the plumbers had to cut a whole in my shower ceiling this whole is HUGE I called the office to see if they can fix it asap and he told me "He'll keep me updated" So unprofessional! I moved here in September, this is my first apartment. This building is INFESTED with roaches. Not a few here and there. BIG, DUMB roaches in the hallways, mailroom, lobby, elevators, stairways, coming from people's apartments, EVERYWHERE. They had a deal going on that allowed the deposit to be $199 for a one bedroom deluxe apartment. Their offices messed something up and we were forced to put down an entire month's rent. (By this point we couldn't try to move somewhere else because the lease on our old apartment was already up.) They put an EVICTION NOTICE on our door THREE DAYS into our lease because THEY mess up/lose payments. Maintenance never responds to work orders. My boyfriend has put in maybe ten requests in the four months we've lived here and they've been to our apartment maybe three times. Our door handle is weak and probably very easy to break into but they have yet to respond to that. The woman who was our tour guide, Mwuaka, often has a bad attitude and doesn't seem to know what she's doing more often than not. The hallways and carpets are disgusting and stained and covered in roach repellent powder and garbage. The elevators NEVER work and are gross and often get stuck. My boyfriend's mother's entire bathroom ceiling caved in due to a leak that she reported the first week she moved here that took them three months to fix. MORAL OF THE STORY: RUN. Unless you prefer disgusting living conditions and flaky maintenance. I really hate K & D. read more

I definately do not recommend these apartments! I moved in May of 2012 and it has been one problem after another. The elevators don't work more than they do so I get alot of exercise walking up stairs to my apt. My AC hasn't worked since I moved in even with maintenance checking it 3 times. So my apartment remains about 85 degrees. Rent is cheap but better to pay a little more and go elsewhere. North Point by K&D group was nice. read more

I currently live in Harbor Crest Apartments and have been since Nov 2018. and this is my last year here when Nov comes. The elevators are broke majority of the time and that's not ok for a building that goes up to 18 floors. Water will be cold for hours on several occasions and as well as your apartment freezing to the point you have to turn your oven and stove burners and any other heaters on. What bought me to make a complaint on this site is what I have been experiencing the past 2 weeks. My apartment ceilings have been leaking water and nothing has been done. I call maintenance the first time regarding this matter on March 7th 2020 and I was told it was fixed on March 12 by maintenance. I came home from a trip and saw that the ceiling had been plastered and painted. 2 days later on March 14 i saw the ceiling now leaking in my room(which has got worse) I call maintenance was told a plumbing was busted in the vacant unit above which was told by the last maintenance man. I have now called 3 more times and last night my living room was leaking so bad it sound like rain in my apartment. My carpet is soaked and kitchen wall and outlet is wet. Maintenance called said they were going to fix the problem (again another person). This morning I called the Property manager Karla I expressed my concern and need for this to be fixed . She responded saying they called a plumbing company who have not come out yet as well as the carpet cleaners . She said due to the COVID-19 it's hard getting companies out to work. I stated I understood but what can they do for me in the mean time , I expressed that this issue creates mold which can cause me an asthma attack(I have asthma). I asked for another apartment , and which she replied, they have none available. I asked to be compensated or for a portion to be knocked off next month rent and she stated she didn't have the authority to do so. I ask who does , she responded , I will speak with the area manager. I asked for their number . She stated she could not give me that and that I could find it online . I am now emailing corporate. I took my time out to say all that because they always ask for people to refer their apartments but I wouldn't refer them to a homeless man if I paid for it. This is by far the worse apartment the live in. Also in some apartments there are roaches I have seen them in the hallways and elevators . I just don't have them in my apartment . I will leave this with alittle positivity. My apartment has a great view and an neighborhood that places me minutes from everywhere. Other then that nothing nice to say . read more

I lived in these apartments years ago, at the time their name was Americana Apartments. My studio was right by the elevator & the trash chute but I never had any bugs. The elevators always worked, and so did the heat & the A/C unit. The rent wasn't increased over a few years time period, heat included. The repairs were a bit slow, so I sent them a motivating fax and then everything was done within a few days time. Other than that, I had no problems whatsoever. I moved only because I bought a condo, but in retrospect, I wish that I'd stayed. read more

Okay, so this apartment had all the things I needed all in one place for me. I really wanted to live here despite some of the reviews. I never been discriminated in my life like I have been today. I am a 39 year old disabled veteran (100% total and permanent). I make 40k a year in disability compensation and have 700 credit score. These people told me that my disability compensation does not count towards my income cause I'm not over the age of 62 so I cant get housing with them. Can you tell me the difference between a 62 year old 100% total and permanent disabled veteran and a 39 year old 100% total and permanent disabled veteran- We both use the same paper work to show our incomes- You know what there is no difference asides from age. They discriminated against me cause of my age. I left a yelp review and was gonna let it go till I realized the people that run this apartment run 21 other apartments in my area that I wanted to rent from. They are run by Kandd Or K&D. So all of the apartments I wanted to rent from are run by the same company that is discriminating against veterans under the age of 62. I wanted to make sure that everyone that is a veteran knows about these policies K&D is running. I may take this to the news- Lady in the office so casually says to me yea we just refused another guy for same reason a few hours ago take it up with corporate. MY REVIEW OF THIS SHIT HOLE!! I Have been a resident here for 4 months and I could not be more disgusted with myself for choosing this s#@$ hole to live in. To start with the "model" I was shown was pretty nice, with new carpet a newer bath and kitchen. So I paid for what was explained to me to be an "upgraded unit" so I mistakenly signed the lease before moving in. Upon my move in I noted to the leasing office that the only thing that seemed to be upgraded in this apartment is that it did have a fresh coat of paint on it. like I said I had already signed the lease, with the payment agreement on it, so I was screwed. So here I was in a 14th floor apt with a kitchen fresh out of the 80's, stained carpeting, a bathroom with a broken vanity, a sink that was filthy, not to mention no power outlets, and the double pane windows that rattled every time you sneezed. Then came the neighbors... now I have never had the pleasure of meeting so many disrespectful people in my life. They hang out in the hallway screaming/talking at one another. I have complained several times to the security about this and still no change. People throw trash wherever they damn well please, in the hallway, elevators, parking lot, and wherever else is convenient to them. Several times I have been sitting in my living room and had the smell of smoke coming in from the hallway whether it be from someone smoking weed, black and milds, cigarettes in the hallway. To top it all off my girlfriend enjoys decorating my front door for the holidays. EVERY SINGLE TIME the decorations have been stolen right off the door. I am amazed by the level trash(occupants) that I am surrounded with. Outside the apartment building is usually a trash ridden mess, as is the rest of the grounds. Parking is kind of a joke too, if you get home past 7pm don't bother looking for a spot by the building, just drive strait to the back 9 and grab a snack for the walk back.(after your done with the snack you can just throw it on the ground with the rest of the trash) The building is in a constant state of disrepair. The winds from tropical depression sandy ripped awnings and whole balcony railings off the building out into the parking lot damaging dozens of cars (of which they didn't assume any responsibility for) and here 3 months later. have yet to be repaired, which looks like crap. (although I am glad I am not one of the apartments that have been without a balcony railing for months on end.) Bottom line is not only will I not be renewing my lease at this little piece of heaven, I would not ever recommend this place to ANYONE!! read more
