I have been reading the post here ..98%are from YEARS ago.. I have been here a short time .. I actually take time to inspect everything on the move-in list.. to make sure it's up to standards . It's called common Sense.....!!! as for staff Drew is a really cool guy & very helpful ...I have not met other staff members yet at office so I can not speak about them on how they are.. ..as far as cleaning in the building..cleaning ladies have been here keeping up with the place in lobby & laundry room/ halls . ..for residents in building I have not met many neighbors yet . . So I can't speak on that on how that is . HOWEVER. .. I have noticed that kids bang in lobby doors coming from other places if they come to visit.. kids ( guest or not ) run around & leave trash or bounce basket balls in lobby in halls. .. where are the parents?? It's not really a major issue but just saying this is why people may see some things & think it's the property not being maintained even though it is. Yes people have dogs n cats here. So yeah dogs bark get over it .. I have a medical dog to alert me when it has to go out or if a person is at my door .. " I lost a portion of my hearing from a injury years ago .".. Pineridge is great They should find out who's kids are leaving the mess & throw basketballs around in lobby & fine that persons or individual resident to teach them responsibility because the call box was just broken.. read more

I was visiting a friend in Building G at Pine Ridge Apartments, and I honestly couldn't believe how disgusting it was. There were roaches and bugs, the whole building smelled like dog urine, and it was obvious that maintenance problems were being ignored. The place feels dirty, poorly managed, and completely neglected. If this is how they keep the property, I would never recommend living here. Save yourself the headache and look somewhere else. read more

Absolute dump. Floors and hallways are constantly disgusting, wall trim is falling apart. Ground floor in building G floods 1-2 inches of standing water every time it rains and management doesn't seem to care. Because of that it smells terrible all the time and is infested with flies and other bugs. Elevators are constantly not working and if they are they are also disgusting and smell like dirty socks. Got stuck in one of the elevators for 30 minutes recently too. Ceiling looks like it's about to collapse on the ground floor. My room itself isn't bad. But outside my room this place is a complete trash heap. Trash rooms/chutes are also very foul smelling and everything is sticky. I've tried to stay positive but this place is pathetic for what they charge. Leasing Office staff are nice and helpful though lol. read more

Don't you dare! Please take what I am telling you about this community as seriously as possible and walk away. It's annoying that I even have to go out of my way to write this brutally honest review about a place I signed a lease for with the false assumptions that it would've been different. I'm upset I even signed this lease and I wish I can leave TODAY! Let me start off with the my application process and the professionalism from the person I was dealing with. (Red Flag) 1.Nobody called to tell me of the status of my application AT ALL! we were the ones reaching out and checking for a update regularly. 2.The Leasing Agent lies so much about how we'd get a call back as soon as a particular day would come around and we received nothing!! 3. I received no information about any Electric accounts or elevator services for move in that should be set up & had to do it last minute. 4. Never responded to emails & GAVE WRONG MOVE IN FEE AMOUNTS which inconvenienced us because we budgeted our money a certain way to get our moving to go along smoothly. 5.My unit was NOT CLEANED! ( has pictures) From my experience you should always sparkle a unit days prior to a move-in? 6. Appliances are so outdated that they don't work properly ( has pictures) My freezer leaks water into my fridge and ruins my produce and i constantly have to replace food! Not only that it leaves puddles of water in my fridge and freezes over! this is ridiculous as hell Why not just get newer appliances to make this easier for everyone. You & the resident! This should have stopped us from placing our pen to the paper but just like anyone else who walks into a community.. we're looking for a place to live. I asked all sorts of questions that concerned me and my partner beforehand and looking back at what we were told. its BS As many of you may know we are maneuverings through a serious PANDEMIC and I had questions about the cleanliness of the building we will be residing in. As we toured we noticed that the hallways are all carpeted & we asked how is this maintained. We were told they vacuum or whatever EVERY SINGLE MORNING. (HA what a joke) I've seen someone clean twice and heard them vacuum once! If you are anything like us and you take pride in where you live "DO NOT" live here at all. We have walked through our hallways daily to be greeted by a horrible odor which causes serious nausea and dizziness to both my partner and I. ***Lets get on the building*** 1. Disgusting odors in the building that has me question the cleanliness of the property & my neighbors. 2. Someone's pet or maybe themselves are pissing on the hallway floors & lobby floors. This place reeks of urine (has pictures) This is also concerning because as i mentioned everything is carpeted and who knows what is on these carpets. we are seriously worried for each others health living here. 3.If you are big on security DO NOT live here! The doors stay propped open. It doesn't matter if you close them because you can still get in without a access remote. 4. THE POWER GOES OUT EVERY SINGLE WEEK! FOR HOURS & THEY DON'T SEND EMERGENCY EMAILS OR ANYTHING BEING APOLOGETIC TO THE RESIDENTS FOR THEIR BUILDING INCONVEINCEING THEM! WE ARE IN OHIO & IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER AT THAT! Pine Ridge does not apologize for any inconveniences that they cause to their residents! ***Maintenance*** (Tip do not place work orders online where it allows you to do so. They will not tell you anything in the Leasing Office about how everything basically goes through the Resident Services") 1. I've been complaining about the same two things for weeks now & The Resident Service people continue to LIE and tell us that someone will come the same day. 2. Always seems short staffed! My tub as been clogged for weeks! my fridge has being freezing my produce for weeks and i have been leaving so many messages just to be ignored! WE ARE TIRED!!! **Leasing Office** 1. Very Rude ( except for the really sweet young lady who i prefer to always deal with because her personality is always so great. Wish i knew her name.) 2. They do not return phone calls or relay messages to the correct people. ( same for Resident Services) I have left so many voicemails and nobody had reached out to at all. Been living here for 5 months and the bathroom by the living room smells like pure cigarettes. That bathroom doesn't share a wall with another tenant so it's a vent issue and I have to keep the bathroom closed. If I open the door after a while, I'm surprised the fire alarm doesn't go off with how it smells as if someone JUST put out a cigarette... Called resident services about It and never got a call back. I have to hold my breath walking past the bathroom because if I inhale the smell, my asthma will kill me. Guests can't use the bathroom because the cigarette smoke smell makes them all nauseous. Which makes no sense to me because there's no shared wall and it can only come from the vent in there. Huge disappointment. read more

I live in the Village where they didn't plow until 2 days after this recent snow storm. My car was stuck in the snow from Sunday night until Tuesday morning. My car along with a handful of other vehicles were unable to move because there was no place that was clear. Finally after manually shoveling, pushing the car, and from the help of two good Samaritans who's SUV was stuck too (4 hours later) we were able to get our car close to our townhome, but still not home. Near the tail end of the 4 hours we finally saw 1 plow truck (around 3:45AM Tuesday morning) simply driving around the area. We tried to wave the driver down twice (there's no way he didn't see us) but he kept his head straight and drove passed knowing we were stuck and clearly not caring to help in anyway by simply DOING HIS JOB AND PLOWING. The astounding thing was the complex somehow managed to clear a path for the people in the high rises, and other buildings but couldn't get it together for us living in the village. The icing on the cake was at some point while our car was stuck someone hit it. I can't even be mad at the driver because the roads were treacherous due to the lack of effort from Pine Ridge. In the end it was blamed on MLK Day (staff being off) and that their on site plow was broken down, which doesn't change the fact that this was forecasted days in advance. I even heard some folks received notice that if they didn't move the stuck vehicles they would be towed at their expense...absolutely disgusting Let's not forget the recent shooting that occurred and there's no longer on site Security at the front gate. read more

hi, tom pattison here... i have lived at pine ridge since 2007. my last review was not great this year but i have been going through a lot... i am going blind and my mood is down... i worked in media for thirty years and ran properties in my early years... let's face it we are going through tough times.. this pandemic has hurt us all... this place has a new manager. drew. he seems to really care and wants to make things better... samantha is the regional manager and she too seem to care... maintenance in the past years has been great.. so has the office staff... for this past year maintenance was really short handed and struggled... even though things are still bad with the pandemic pine has bounced back and is trying hard with the help of a overall very good staff and a good manager and regional manager... the elevators which is a sour point with me due to my disabilities drew and samantha are really trying to get the service company to stay on top of it... the clientele has changed but most people are still very nice... pine has a nice grounds and is safe. sometimes the dog bark and that drives me crazy.  the front office staff is also very nice always and try and help... drew is even trying to help me find my way due to my blindness... i have called this place home for many years and still do...pine has always been a five star place to me and is close to that still.. read more

Moved in to a strong urine smell apartment. Everything wasn't cleaned even found cat poop on top of the cabinets!!! Paint splatter everywhere, rusted toilet bowel, broken baseboards. i lived here at pine ridge 2017-2020, the apartment I moved into was spotless. new carpets throughout and new kitchen cabinets. Neighbors were all friendly. they kept raising the rent $ every time I resigned a lease and it got to be too much (1000 for a 1 bed) that's why I moved out. A year and a half later (now) I applied for an apartment here again and it's been nothing but trouble and a big run around. I put a security deposit down on an apartment 8 days ago and have heard nothing from them since. I've left multiple voice mails and even stopped into the office to ask about it. The leasing office workers were so rude and gave me no information on when I'll know the status of my application. I just want my money back at this point. read more

This apartment complex is terrible and the company that owns it is even worse (GOLDBERG COMPANY) They refused to plow the driveway because if they plow the driveway then they are liable if someone gets hurt. I looked it up that really is a law. I fell literally every year I lived there. The parking lot turns into a sheet of ice and I always got home late so I had to park pretty far away. Also the parking lot area that is pretty far away has no lights. Well they have lights they just don't work. So that's where all the drug deals go down when they're not right out front. They offer underground parking if you want to avoid this ice rink of a parking lot but they raised the price over the years from $25 a month to 40 because knew people needed it. Fantastic business move. Also our rent in three years went from 750 to 950. They gave us new washing machine's and we were so excited until we saw the prices. Two dollars to wash and Two dollars to dry. But if you would like warm water or hot water you're going to have to pay extra. Are you kidding me? We paid $20 a month for three years to have our two cats there so $40 a month in total. I would think that would cover any damage that they did but we received none of our security deposit back which was almost a grand. Recently Pineridge Who is owned by the GOLDBERG COMPANY had two fires the latter of which caused over 100 people to be displaced. pine Ridge refused to help these people and told them to use their renters insurance. That means that these people will have to front the cost of their hotels stays until their insurance reimburses them and then the premiums will go up.No one cleans up their dog poop and over the years the number of dogs has increased exponentially. I could go on forever but I think you get the point. They don't care about you they just want your money. We bought a house and our mortgage payment is less than our rent was. And it's a really nice house. I'm giving the one star to the maintenance people in building H because they rock.Don't do it ....just don't do it. Edit and responses to Christine: I lived there for 3 years and only moved out a month ago so I'm pretty sure I know what is going on. I also am still in touch with people that still currently live there. As far as the plowing goes..I stand corrected! You DO plow...you plow all the snow right behind everyone's cars so no one can get out and then you refuse to use SALT. That's what it was. I was incorrect. You don't salt the parking lot because if someone falls you could be held liable. My bruised ass every year is evidence. read more

This place is awful in so many ways. I give it one star because every time you get in the elevator someone strikes up a conversation that is often shocking and therefore entertaining. That star has nothing to do with the property. 1. The hallway carpet and wallpaper is all trashed. It looks like crap so if you have guests over you will be good and embarrassed. 2. The staff is rude except for one maintenance man. Let's hope you are in his building. They are not helpful and will not return phone calls. 3. The repair work they do is jimmy rigged at best. So if your toilet runs, they will fix it and for three whole days you can be in bliss at the lack of running toilet sound .. but only for three days because it will come back. The maintenance men will come back too and fix it again for maybe 4 whole days if you have a four leaf clover. 4. BED BUGS. Oh, why wasn't this my number one? The place is infested and it's disgusting. Good luck with that is all I can say. There is not enough laundry, treatments and bed covers in the world to kill them all. 5. The parking lot is a complete danger in the winter. I always worried about the elderly and I am surprised they haven't gotten sued. It is a sheet of ice with a tiny bit of salt. Stilettos are not your friends and it is a long walk to any door. 6. If you want to get into the building, you have to use a card and if you lose that card it's 50 bucks. It does not go on a key chain per se so again, best wishes to you. Half the time the lock on the back door is broken though, so that might help you get in. 7. There are 3 elevators but only 1 always works. Try walking 12 flights of stairs. If that doesn't tick you off, nothing will. 8. All of the furniture in the lobby is chained down which makes it look very ghetto. Is there really a threat someone will walk off with the couch? Hmm. 9. The amenities that were promised to me either are broken or no longer exist. No tennis court nets. Business office closed. Indoor pool gutted. What's left? Not sure. Overall I could NOT wait to move out and am so glad that I did. The bummer was when I did the walk through with the staff person she rated my very clean, newly carpeted apartment only FAIR. She said no one gets good because someone was living in it. I spent forever painting the walls back to a light color and left two painted walls unpainted because they were light shades as the lease stated. The staff woman said they were darker than I thought and it would take more than one coat of paint to cover it. I explained that I had much darker colors that only needed one coat of paint and her reply was, "you probably used good paint. we use the cheap stuff." Um, that was out loud. I haven't gotten my deposit back again. I'm hoping for one more bit of luck on that one. read more

I have a friend who lives here. Although the physical conditions of his apartment seem ok (Although according to apartmentratings.com conditions are not good), the staff here are horrendous. As we entered the complex to visit my friend we pulled in and saw that there was no gate and that the passage to the entry was open. We paused to see if anyone was in the night guard stand but it was dark so we just kept going through to the apartment. As we called our friend to find out where it was ok to park our car, a night guard zoomed up behind us. While we were getting out of our car the night guard threatened to arrest me 4 times because we didn't stop at the night guard stand. He said he was not just a night guard but a "cop" and would have me arrested as well as my vehicle towed. I apologized consecutively but every time I said I was sorry and that this is my first time visiting these apartments, he threatened to have me arrested again. Needless to say I told my friend how rude this guy was and that I would never visit, or even consider renting an apartment here. read more

Oh Pine Ridge... So much I want to say. But why bother? The owners will only respond with some non-sequitur, un-elicited BS defending Pine Ridge as a unit, without any accountability of how garbage this place really is. So before some lawyer reaches out to me for trashing this place online, lets start with the good things. The staff in the leasing office is very friendly. Courtney has helped me move into apartments twice and she was very pleasant to work with. Derek, the property manager, is also a really nice guy. I have had issues in the past and spoken directly to him several times. Although the issues weren't resolved the way that I wanted them to be, I know that he did everything that he could to make things right. So Derek and Courtney, I thank you. And I am sorry to have to write this review, but the people need to know. Continuing further, I would say that the amenities are adequate. Nothing more, nothing less. The laundry machines constantly steal money from you and then sit there.... not moving or washing... I digress. The pool is fine. I have no problems there. The location is literally the only thing that has kept me here. The apartments themselves are fine as well. I had some interior issues with mine, like anyone else would. And they were mostly handled appropriately and in a timely fashion. Keep in mind, I said MOSTLY. Now let's really get down to it. I would like to state a disclaimer for everything that I am about to complain about. Throughout the duration of the 3 and a half years that I have been here, I have taken photos and videos of EVERYTHING I possibly could. So to start off, lets talk about the people. Everyone here has no respect for anyone or anything. There is always pizza crust and wrappers and trash of all sorts in my stairwell. Its so crazy to think that someone is all the sudden done with their pizza, and the floor of my stairwell is their trash can. Also, who doesn't like the crust? Besides the point. Everything in this place is trash. Oh and if you want your tires slashed ever, please park behind building G. Because in the time I have spent here, it has happened more than 5 times. I have also seen cars get smashed by some drunkard and nothing was ever done. Now, lets talk about the MONGOLOIDS who open and close that stupid gate. Hey Pine Ridge, stop calling this a gated community. Because it isn't. You may as well invest in an automatic gate, because that is essentially what you have. Let's go into detail. There is an idiot driving around in his blue Jeep who thinks he is the sh**. I park my car under the overhang. Get out and take my groceries up to my apartment. When I come back, there is a stupid ticket in my door telling me not to park here written by the Ewok himself (yeah, Star Wars). There was one particular occurrence where he gave a pizza delivery driver a ticket. He had the pizza hut hat on top of his car too. As for the entire parking lot, here is an idea..STOP SPENDING MONEY ON IDIOT GUARDS AND GET CAMERAS!! I mean I didn't realize that it was rocket science. Ah crap. I am running out of characters. Quick summary. I had mold. Took Pine Ridge months to have it completely resolved. Speed bumps are ruining my car and my life. The smell. Oh the smell. Weed, curry and dog feces. Resident Services people are God awful. They once let a maintenance man in my apartment after I specifically told them to call me before he came. Not okay with that (Think it might actually be illegal but I don't know). Plowing in the winter sucks. Appliances usually broken. Fire alarms weekly at 2 AM. Terrible inside cleaning. Work out room smells awful and machines are useless. The lack of care when allowing people to move in is absurd. Drug test these people. And overall, I can not wait to leave this God-forsaken place and never return. My lease is up in 30 days and I could not be happier. Google wont let me upload videos, so here are pictures. I was scared to death by the poor reviews! BUT wait a minute, it's not like that at all. The leasing office ladies are super nice! Courtney was our gal, excellent! After we got in there were a few small issues that I wanted serviced, NO PROBLEM CJ came right out fixed the thermostat and replaced the shower spicket. BAM done! We feel safe walking around, neighbors usually wave as you go by. The security guards are friendly and the place is secured in the evenings. I would recommend this place to my friends. Beware of your security deposit!!!!! I lived here for 1.5 years. I moved out of state and had to break my lease. I had to continue to pay the $25 fee for water which was not being used and had to continue to pay for the gas. The gas bill consisted of a $2.50 administration fee. I left the apartment in awesome condition. I even took pictures to prove it. I come to find out that I owe money because they say the carpets were 'heavily soiled'. Thats BS! I wrote on my move in that there were a couple of stains on the carpets when I moved in. There are is 'normal wear' especially being there for 1.5 years. This place is a SCAM. Go somewhere else! Also, Jordan the manager is spineless and a moron. Cant make decisions on his own. He is a puppet controlled by the corporate office. Do not look at Pine Ridge Apartments. Christine, I called you when I was a tenant and you were extremely rude on the phone to me. The carpet was not heavily soiled. There was not an odor at all. Unfortunately, I can not prove that. Also, every landlord should take into account 'normal wear and tear'. Its a law. There is no need to charge me $25 extra for the next 4 months for a water bill not being used. Same with the gas bill that contains a $2.50 administration fee every month. Christine, I gave the proper amount of time to break my lease. I understand the policy, but trying to explain the excessiveness of charging me for the water bill and gas bill. Neither one is being used. This place is a JOKE My boyfriend and I have lived here since november & its only been a shit show. i wish i read the reviews before moving here. the resident service office suck, they are rude and try to decflect anything you say if they even answer the phone, maintenece just twiddles their thumbs, and stole a diamond ring and shoes while showing up when no one is home, a light wasnt working in the bathroom when he came to rewire it now one switch controlls both light and fan one controlls just fan and has to be on when the other switch is on, NOT to mention they only will show up if its an absoulte "emergency", our kitchen sink is broken they wont bother to fix the garbage disposal. there is also black mold on the windows during the winter, and DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE LAUNDRY ROOM at one point only 4 washers and dryers were working for the whole building this place is going to be completely section 8 by the end of this year. it once was a great complex but now is just absolute shit. rent should be 500$ if that at this point. they apparently will find any minor detail as your vacating to drain your pockets & not give you your security deposit back. they also have security gaurds that just creep up and down the halls rather than checking people when they pull into the complex. the security is just a creepy old man that lets anyone into the complex and we know a girl that lives in our building that he literally will turn around from the direction he was going to if he sees her and will contuine to ride on the elevator to her floor and walk her to her door, and only does "secuirty checks" on her floor, and also requested to follow her on facebook she declined and he tried one more time very gross and unprofessinal. You're lucky if ONE elevator is working and they are disgusting along with the stairs where u can find people smoking black and milds. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT RENT HERE! read more

I was really excited to think I had a place here. My fiancé and I had applied. We explained our situation and we told them we don't have the best credit . The woman was like then you just pay extra that was fine by us. The next day she calls and says unfortunately you were denied I am thinking it was my fiancé's background. There's nothing serious there HOWEVER we had them send the report to us and it's for our credit !!!!!!!!! Ummmmm what happened to paying extra????????? What happened to calling old landlords?????? The black lady in the leasing office has a very nasty attitude , you can never get in contact with anyone , you'll literally be in the laundry room for an hour trying to get the washers to work , the halls are very nasty and the elevators are always filled with dog pee , the side door is always broken literally anyone can enter your building , they have security in the front but it's pointless because anyone can ride in , these apartments are actually getting a new play area they need to get a new layout period for these apartments , the hallways , more structure, Im glad my lease is up I'll never pay over 1000 a month for this place ever again read more

This is the best apartment complex I've ever lived at. I lived here few years past . I'm back in the same building but different floor. They have many amenities. Indoor/outdoor pool, exercise room variety of activities. They have maintenance during the day and after hours. This is a prime location so close to the freeway and stores. It's a pleasure to be back here. I couldn't ask for anything more. read more

I moved up north (I am from closer to Columbus) for school and chose Pine Ridge as my first ever apartment. So far, its been almost 1 year, I really like it here! The apartment is clean and the staff has always been considerate, even the poor maintenance fellow who came to my rescue at 1am to fix my toilet! Yes, there are children out in the lobby often but that should be a good sign that families are comfortable here as well as us single folk. During the snow months the parking lot is plowed and maintained. It's in a great location for access to Cleveland and all neighboring cities as well. I really enjoy the work-out facility and my neighbor is the sweetest thing. Now and then I will hear my neighbors' kids through the walls wrestling but otherwise no problems. Very good! read more

On 4/13/22 we decided that we weren't going to move to Pine Ridge because we were worried about our dog barking when we left and requested our deposit back. It was over two months notice that we were giving them to find new renters. The Goldberg Companies Inc or GCI Residential, LLC told me that they have a 72 hour cancellation period where I could get refunded. After making a few calls and speaking to their property manager once, he finally got back to me after I left a couple of messages. No he didn't call me, he got my email and sent a note saying that there is nothing they could do about refunding my deposit. Well yes there is, just give me my money back. It's not like I dumped it on them at the last minute. They had two months to rent out the townhouse, and now I'm out $500. Goldberg Companies and GCI have a few locations around Cleveland so watch out for these people because they will screw you over in a minute. read more

I've lived here six months now, and I have to disagree with many of the reviews I have read before and after moving in. I will admit, I was initially skeptical of moving here from reading the reviews, but I absolutely love it here. Let's start with the good. 1) Fantastic location. I work in Cleveland and it is a 17 minute commute to Wade Oval without traffic, 25 with traffic. Slightly longer with wrecks. There is a strip mall across the street with a grocery store, and food. Applebee's across two streets, CVS, etc. 2) Great staff. From those who show the apartments, to those in the office throughout the week. I've never had an unfriendly interaction. There was a discrepancy with my move in date initially, but it was sorted out, no problem. 3) Two pools, a nice gym, and a theatre. 4) The apartment. It is not a new build, and my unit was not renovated recently, but it has a dishwasher, GAS stove, and new carpet. I love the space for the price I pay. 5) heated underground parking with a place to wash your car. I can't tell you how amazing this is, and worth the extra cost. 6) security. Some reviews have said they do nothing. True story, I had a shuttle scheduled to pick me up at 330 am to go to the airport one morning. The security "questioned him and gave him a really hard time until he showed the itinerary" when he pulled up. I should have let security know, but was really pleased they cared enough to make sure he was supposed to be there. 7) security to get into the building with swype keys 8) The mail room! This is my best friend. At my last place, I was always so scared my packages would get stolen because they left them at the apartment entrance. The mail room signs for my packages and is open convenient hours to grab them. 9) maintenance. Let's be fair.... this is a HUGE complex. I've had to wait a day or two for minor repairs (microwave top fell off, but it worked fine), but they respond to emergent repairs (my fridge froze, water leaking into the bottom) within an hour. I'm pleased with their maintenance staff. 10) Lack of noise. I must say, I expected a louder place. I can sit in my living room without anything on, and usually can't hear my neighbours....with the exception of football Sunday (which I understand completely haha) Now, the "not so" good things, but not as bad as some reviews say... 1) Children. Sorry folks, you're going to get these at any apartment complex. They like to "hangout " in the lobby area, which can sometimes be frustrating if you are just trying to grab your mail. They also are kids, and so finding a water-filled condom in the elevator was not pleasant...neither was having one use their "vase e cig" to smoke out one of the elevators... but you are going to have kids do things anywhere. My last apartment, the kids egged all the cars. So, I can handle harmless non vandalism kid crap. 2) no washer and dryer hookups. For me, this was a huge downer, but the laundry room downstairs is nice and I don't mind it anymore. 3) Smells. I have a sensitive nose. I can smell people's cigarette smoke walking down the halls. Or their dinner (Not a bad thing). Sometimes those smells creep into my apartment, though. I light my wax melts, which helps, but sometimes the smells are bad 4) my fridge. It keeps locking up. But maintenance keeps making it run again, so there's that. 5) only local cell numbers can be programmed in to let others in. For me, this was a huge letdown because I move around a lot and don't change my cell number. I have Google voice, so I have a new number for that purpose only, but it is very inconvenient. That's that. I give it a 4/5 because of the for mentioned "not so good". This place has been great, overall, and I would recommend it to anyone, unless you hate children....then you should just move to the country far far away from humanity ;) read more

If you like living in places where your neighbors respect public property and the property of others, then do not live here. Since being here for a year My roommate and I have had people (kids) thrown gunpowder snaps on our cars and leave their trash outside our door (which then we were penalized for, even though it was not ours). Additionally, multiple times someone ripped the elevator call button panel off the wall on multiple floors, burned things in the elevator (which we knew because there were burn marks on the walls), and most recently left large piles of human feces in the elevator. Poop. Someone pooped in the elevator. I wish I was joking. Additionally I've been trampled multiple times by kids playing outside and once they slammed my finger in the door in a rush to get inside. This place is in a nice area of town and pretty cheap, but you get what you pay for. I can't wait to move out. read more

My apartment is so drafty that the curtains blow. Even while leaving my thermostat set to 90 degrees, my apartment only ever reaches 60 in the winter. Don't bother asking maintenance to come fix your heat though; several requests had only yielded under qualified men who simply touch the baseboards, remark that they are hot, then leave. On one particularly unsettling occasion, a man named Arthur came to my apartment to "fix the heat." He refused to come in because of my dog (who is a service dog), even after I offered to close my dog in the bathroom. He then proceeded to tell me that the heating issue was, "completely my fault because I was going in and out of my sliding glass door too often and letting heat escape." When I told him that we never use that door because it is too difficult to open and close he called me a liar and slammed MY door in my face and left. Furious, I called the maintenance number again and requested that someone else be sent out. An hour later, Arthur, accompanied by another worker came back to my building, BUT did not come to my door. The two instead, stood outside my door and bashed me, calling me a racist and Arthur telling the other man that he was denied entry because I was "too afraid to be alone in my apartment with a black man." Because the wall of our apartments are so ridiculously thin, I could hear every word they were saying and confronted them. Not only that, but I filed a complaint with management. However, this is apparently acceptable behavior and treatment of tenants at Pine Ridge because nothing was done AT ALL. read more

I lived in a studio here a couple years ago in the oldest building in the back... the apartment was what it was... a small studio and pretty basic. BUT the management and maintenance dept. absolutely SUCKS. They like to lie to you about things you are "allowed" to do such as painting and having animals and then lie straight to their supervisor's faces when they are called out. I only stayed for about two months and my garbage disposal was broken for the majority of that time even after having maintenance "fix" it 4 times. I posted the place on Craigslist and found someone to take over my lease so I could get the f out... I still feel bad for that person to this day lol. read more

I don't even know where to start. First of all I will say that I think Dylan in the leasing office is great but other than that this place is crap. We overpay for the 2 bedroom we live in. There's hair on the walls from the people who previously painted. Our kitchen countertop lifts off the cabinets, the vanity countertop in the bathroom has completely come off, our keys always get jammed in the bolt lock. When we first moved in it was fine but now it's a whole different place. There's constantly trash everywhere. Elevators always having problems. The residents here don't give a shit about you, just themselves. There was dog piss in an elevator for days and unfortunately my boyfriend, my dog and myself stepped in it. The trash chute always has trash lying around. This place is just totally run down and not what I expected it to be at all. It's not worth living here whatsoever. I wish I would've known that before moving in or I could've been happier in another place. read more

At first I wasn't going to write a review. I was just going to let it be water under the rug because I actually never wrote reviews. But I would absolutely never rent at this property again. First and foremost their scammers. I was called one October afternoon telling me they had paid my light bill without even consulting with me. And how now I owed them the total cost of my bill, a $75 fee for them paying it as well as a $25 fee for it no longer being in my name And that it would be added to my November's rent. I was completely confused because for one I didn't know how they would have even gotten my private account number as well as I didn't ask them to do that. Long story short I called the light company to be told my bill hadn't been paid, wasn't due until October 30th, and it was still in my name. Of course then no one knew why "corporate" would have at first called but now apparently emailed stating they had when they hadn't. I took it as the resident service office Just trying to skim extra money off the top of rent. I signed a 16 months lease (end up staying 17) which I was unaware of because when signing my lease because we spoke about 13 months and when it came down to signing I wasn't given a paper copy to Read and sign but an email sent and told to go through and just initial everything. No offense but there is a lot of Indians and they leave a bad smell not only hallways but it gets into your apartment the the windows, balcony's, and under the doors. I became pregnant the month after moving in so the smell was 10x worse. I reached out to the resident service office but they told me it was nothing they could do. So I then had to find somewhere else to stay with my nine year old son for two months and still pay rent. They had no concern for someone trying to open my door while sitting on the couch one evening. Told me it was probably just a kid and I couldn't put extra locks although it was an older couple down the hall with 5 locks on their door. And it very well may have been but whoever it was heard me on the couch and was going to walk in anyway. So I felt in danger. The first almost year maintenance never answered my request. I never use a dishwasher and definitely not the one in that apartment. It had a nasty smell coming out of it and was molding. When it was time to move out I read over everything on this letter to vacate that I was suppose to take care of and did it. They then sent me a bill for not cleaning the carpet and a few of the blinds breaking. The blinds are extremely cheap and break both in the bedrooms and on the balcony if you open and close them and wasn't told on the letter to vacate that they needed to be replaced as well as that I had to clean the carpet. I had already painted and cleaned the house spotless. Even left some plug ins. What were they going to clean for the next resistant? But of course that's just a tactic to keep my security deposit and now I also have to pay them extra. Apartment is not worth $950. Yes Willoughby is a great city and the apartment is semi quite (at least the building I lived in) but not worth it. Appliances are old and outdated and do not match at all. Kitchen is very small, stairwells are stinky, nowhere to ever park, etc. DONT RENT HERE!!! read more

Some of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. They very quickly take your application fee but after that they won't even answer the phone or return 4 messages left. I wouldn' reccomend trying to live here unless you have an 800 credit score. read more

false advertising in my view to call this place a "luxury" apartment. i am a current resident in bldg 2255. the place has a sour smell and people toss their trash wherever, clearly not always in the chutes. beware of dog piles outside, slimy grimy sidewalks, and broken glass when you enter the door to the building. for almost 900 a month for a one bedroom this doesnt meet expectations. appliances are old and inefficient and loud, the walls are thin so you can hear alot of noise from people above, below, and beside you. the management staff are underwhelming and often dont respond to inquiries, for example on maintenance requests. let's not forget about all the fires this place has had and the cars that speed in the parking lots. doors are propped open to the bldg regularly so forget about safety and privacy. And dont think you can use the pool unless you are listed on the lease, even your wife cant go to the pool without you if they arent on the lease. Yet you see unattented kids there alone all the time, and they clearly arent on the lease. Just a poor excuse for a so called "luxury" apartment all around. move out date cant get here soon enough. read more

Horrible place to live and I'm planning to move out right when my lease is over. The offices are full of rude people. The maintenance men are extremely rude. They do not care about their tenants at all and do not try to fix problems you have. I've been calling about an issue for a few weeks and they kept telling me they had no record of my voicemails or emails. Yeah right. Also you can hear every conversation or movement in the apartments that surround you. The door into your apartment is so thin that anything in the hallway sounds like it's inside your apartment. Dog poop laying everywhere in the grass, kids running and screaming in the hallways, and cig butts scattered in the hallway for days..yeah I could go on and on. I would never recommend these apartments to anyone. read more

I was not a huge fan of certain aspects of the apartment building. Me, along with the rest of my family lived in 10th story apartment in the left tower for 2 years. Some of us got sick several times from mold that was growing in the windows. An employee told us mold growing there was "normal." The elevators in that particular tower would constantly have problems. Elevators would have broken lights, or just BE broken. One time, all 3 elevators broke, and we had to hike groceries up 11 flights of stairs from floor G to 10. Another time, the elevator stopped above the actual floor of Level 1. The tennis court was kind of beat up, but the pools were fine. We never had personal maintenance issues, however, just maintenance issues with the building itself. We also had to be very careful, because some crook was going around stealing crap from other residents. We also talked to somebody living in a penthouse apartment that we met there, she said that they had to pay more for a smaller space just because it was on the top floor. That is totally greedy. Me and my step-brother one day decided to go take a walk around the apartment building, after we decided to see what the 11th floor (Penthouse) looked like we saw stalactite-like structures growing from the ceiling of the staircase. I signed a lease with this place and was moving in when my key fob stopped working. I called the 24 hour maintenance and they told me someone would show up to let me in. I waited an hour and no one showed up. I went to the leasing office the next morning to get my key fob fixed and they told me there was nothing they could do and I would have to wait til Tuesday, it was a holiday weekend, to get into my apartment. Additionally, they did not even apologize for the inconvenience, they kept on stating we appreciate your understanding in this matter. The leasing agent emailed her manager and they told me the person who handles the key fobs lives an hour away and would not come in to fix mine so I could move into my apartment. I personally called maintenance to see if they could fix this and they laughed at me over the phone. I was told I would receive a call from the Manager this morning and I am still waiting on him/her to call me. All I can say is stay away from this place, the front office is not helpful. I cannot believe at the start of my lease they would not do me a favor so I could move into my apartment. I will not be renewing my lease with this place. The front office and maintenance employees are extremely rude. read more
