Ok, looking for an alternative for my Dad for all his pain and sleeping pills. So looking for a Dr to give him a card and test the waters of cannabis. Not a good first impression, nothing against Tattoo's, Bail Bonds and Massage Parlors but when they are all in the same building at the Dr it makes you wonder. Paid the $70.00 cash for my Dads card and was sent to back room for a skype conference call with the Dr. Ok, don't judge a book by it's cover so I won't. 3 min later we have my Dads card so now it's off to the recommended dispensary. Yikes, sketchy place for sure but nice enough staff but all for the head not for the pain. So we passed. Just made a call for a home delivery for a lotion and candy bars. I was honestly a little nervous to go here after the Yelp reviews, but I thought hey, why not, it's close to my house and they take walk ins. Prices are listed on the window when you arrive. Yes, the building is sketchy- located in an area with a few questionable massage parlors and Yes, you see your doctor via video chat. That wasn't a deterrent and All in all it was inexpensive, quick and close to home. The receptionist was very straightforward with pricing and friendly and I was in and out within 20min. Ok well if you take the time to ask detailed questions prior to visit and confirm details you will have a great experience. I did call like 3 times and spoke to a helpful guy named Jack i think it was he answered my questions each time and got my named and left it with girls at desk to make sure to give me the advertised price which they did it was a nice clean place and it was quick and painless the girl was nice. ***BEWARE!!!*** I have MULTIPLE warnings for you. Take which one(s) you need: 1. I couldn't find the prices for this place anywhere online. I called and left a message, and they called me back immediately, confirming that it was $50 for a NEW patient, ONE YEAR. They also sent me an email telling me it's $55 for NEW PATIENTS. When we arrived (I took my PHYSICIAN dad who needs treatment for chronic illness, otherwise has never taken marijuana before) - they told us that no, it's $100!! (BTW, they are $40-$60 elsewhere for ONE YEAR, not far from this place) 2. BOGUS scare tactics in their "marketing" to unknowledgeable folks to make a quick buck. They offer you a way to "save money" by buying their $299 "cultivation license". THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A CULTIVATION LICENSE!!! - with your recommendation, you are AUTOMATICALLY allowed 6 mature and 6 baby plants by law. The second BOGUS scare was them trying to sell you their ID card. The sign read, "DON'T LOSE YOUR REC!". ??? Why would you lose your recommendation? If you show law enforcement your recommendation - whether it's in card or paper form, you'll be fine. Other offices offer ID cards for CONVENIENCE (not carrying a paper around, but rather having a handy card in your wallet) - but this place puts the fear in you to get it with threats of your rec being "taken away". ?? Also, it's a whopping $30 - those cards are $20 elsewhere. 3. After making us wait FOREVER, even though there were no other people in there before us, the receptionists FINALLY took us to see the doctor. My dad was VERY eager to meet the doctor as he is also a doctor and this would be his first time on this kind of treatment. We were led to an empty room with a laptop in the middle of the room. When we asked where the doctor is, the receptionist replied that he's not in today, but will talk to us through Skype by laptop. ??!!!!! My doc dad was shocked on multiple levels. He didn't know where to begin on how that's unethical as a doctor. After seeing the BS marketing on their walls and being lied to about the price, then topping it off with no doctor other than through a laptop, WE LEFT. We're supposed to pay $100 to talk to some dude on Skype? 4. There are reviews online of dispensaries NOT RECOGNIZING RECS FROM THIS PARTICULAR OFFICE - saying that the doc is a phony Skype doctor, so his recs are NOT VALID - so after spending your money and time, in the end you will not have a legit rec to use. First..its cash only.. oh surprise! They have an atm for a fee located conviently in the lobby.. The whole med mary card is a scam anyway. You pay 100 for a card and then you can smoke all you want... So no problem just go to a "dr" for an evaluation and youre on your way.. But the dr was rude and wouldnt let me back with my fiancee blocking me at the entrance holding up his finger saying "una" - um... he clearly speaks english and why he addressed me in Spanish was another sign of disrespect. The whole experience is a little more than sketchy anyway.. but thanks for solidifying that ... doctor. I was about to get my new rec here, found them through the OC Weekly ad. There, they advertise "$30 All Patients", which one would assume would imply a standard one-year rec. Not so. If you inquire, it turns out that they are probably the only office in all of OC that has different tiers of recs from one to three to twelve months, and of course, you guessed it, the $30 is NOT for the 12 month rec. I was in a rush and money was not really an issue so I said, "F it". I sat in front of the monitor. Nothing. After about 10 minutes of trying to connect to the doctor, I said "thanks but no thanks", then I went down the street to ReLeaf Wellness. It's also video chat there, but at least they follow the market pricing as it currently stands - same price, FULL YEAR (and the doctor on the other side of the monitor actually connects when you sit down). We had a great experience here. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. They answered all of our questions. MOST of all.. They DID NOT tell us a different price from what we were quoted over the phone. Please keep in mind, when you are calling that there is a $10 registration fee, which is not part of the cost of your recommendation. Also, the Photo ID card is an extra $10 as well. Make sure you are asking the right questions, if you want right answers.. And, your experience here will be as good as ours. read more

This outfit has the worst service possible. There was a girl sitting behind the counter with her legs up as if she owns the place. Rudely just sat there looking at me waiting for me to say hello to her. I stead of her greeting me as a customer or patient in this facility. Then when I said hello she still didn't respond back with a greeting. Instead She Said; "New or current patient?" Then I said new...she replied with $80. Obviously these guys have no idea that we have so many choices out there. I simply walked out. Extremely rude and no doctors at the facility. Expecting to get a quick reprint for my renewal they made me sign ALL the paper work again (I've been going here 2 years for my Rec and they didn't have my documents saved?) The doctor wasn't even there in person!!! As I sat in a empty room waiting for him to answer the Skype call?This is the most illegitimate business I have ever seen, the doctor (after sitting in the room alone for about 5 minutes) finally answered the Skype and was eating food?! I'm sorry but come on buddy put the bag of chips down for 5 mins (if he even talked to me that long) he asked my name and why I used MMJ I felt like this was insanely shady and they just take your money regardless of your condition. Beware! They advertise in OC weekly $30 coupon for an evaluation. When I went there with ad in hand they did the eval then tried to charge me $70 saying they didn't see the coupon in my hand. When I complained we settled on $50. A friend went there and as I warned him he held the ad/coupon up and he was told the coupon price of $30 was only for a 2 month permit (no mention of this in the ad of course). The ad/coupon is a scam. But if you want to pay $70 then this place will give you the letter. There are other legit places that will provide a letter for less than $70. read more

Unprofessional, misleading advertising they don't even have a actual Doctor there that you see in person. Instead you are seen over a iPad on Skype then after they try to jip you. Overcharging patients this place has a different price for everyone who comes through the doors. Such a sham place go to another evaluation center one that's atleast honest in their advertisements and doesn't try and stick you with a month or 6 month recommendation so they can charge you again when it runs out. read more

This place is a scam. I came in to get my renewal and the receptionist wanted to charge me $50. Their add in the oc weekely says 30 and of course I brought it in. She says they change their policy blah blah blah and its $40 for 6 months and 50 for 1 year. Now you guys can go ahead and lick my balls for your horrible false advertisement. For my last renewal I came here. It took the doctor 40 minutes to get me my renewal. I told him what pain I have with my actualy doctors file. and thats why I need it. I mentioned that my pain was keeping me up so I was having a bit of trouble sleeping but that wasnt my point. As soon as I told him that he got really unprofessional and frustrated and told me he cant get me renewed because they dont give them out for insomnia. I didnt not mention anything about having insomnia. He started raising his voice. The receptionist came in and told him that he needed to evaluate me l. She had my file and the doctor had 2 people telling him that my file was not for insomina. We tried to get that threw his thick skull. and hes started arguing with the receptionist took off his coat and put it on her head and was close to just walking out of his office. He kept telling her you be the doctor then and all this noise for nothing. He had about 10 people after me waiting. And its a small office so everybody was in the mix. The receptionist got on the phone with her HR and HR wanted to talk to the doctor and she was chasing him around the office trying to get him on the phone. It was a really mess. And took way longer than it needed to. Honestly fuck your guys office. Fuck your doctor and your policies. This is no way to treat patients.
