It very hard for me to get excited about Harbor Freight and I rarely set foot in one of these stores, to me its a store that's filled with imported everything and quality nothing. I just never really find a need to shop here. Well today I needed them I needed two long shackle pad locks and a cable with eyes to secure something, I was very disappointed that none of the staff could direct me to what I was looking for and once I searched every aisle I finally found the cable I was looking for but the lock selection was pitiful so I moved on. read more

As much as I shop at Lowe's, it's surprising that this was my first time shopping at Harbor Freight. Although they didn't have the specific item I was looking for, I was pleasantly surprised at the selection and prices of the other items in the store. As you may expect, this isn't exactly the place for high quality professional tools, but if your a weekend warrior DIYer such as myself, the selection is adequate and you can't beat the prices. A-OK in my book, but I'm not a mechanic or a contractor so I can sacrifice a little on quality to get a better price for a tool I may only use a few times a year....3.5 stars. read more

I avoid being technical but when i have to do it, i do it to perfection. TOOLS are basically a man's weakness just like a beautiful and expensive car or a beautiful woman. Whenever i have to buy anything for myself, first i go to Amazon and Ebay then walmart, sam's club and all online stores and physical stores in the area. And after doing PhD i buy it , i do write reviews for my friends who believe in reviews. Harbor Freight is one of the few places where i go to buy without any research because their quality, prices, customer service and variety of products is simply outstanding. Like today they had a sale in their parking lot and without any intention i bought a blower, fuses for cars, lint free cloth set and a magnifying glass. It all costed me just about 66 dollars. And now at 1130 pm when i am writing this review i am thinking of that compressor without tank with 17.5 cfm which i liked a lot but i didn't buy it, and now i think i should have bought.
