That doesn't seem like something I should be taking note of, but my husband and I were astonished at the number of people who offered to help us load our heavy machine in our truck! I chose Harber Freight Tools for a DIY at-home project to install flooring, baseboards and crown molding during the Covid-19 pandemic. I received assistance right away from one of the managers (Josh) with locating specific tools to cut the crown molding, as well as a specialty electric nail gun (not the one that utilizes an air compressor). His assistance made all the difference in the world, as I didn't have to return any merchandise nor make a second trip to NRH to obtain more tools and materials. The older lady with glasses at cash register (she usually answers the phone) was outstanding in her customer service demeanor, both on my initial visit and a later visit for a different at-home project. She definitely seems to know what she is talking about in terms of available inventory, and correct materials to use when posing a specific question. Further, the coupons offered by the store via internet promotion (sometimes daily or bi-weekly) turned out to significantly help on price reduction. Due to this alone, I highly recommend signing up for Harbor's reward program- it certainly pays an almost immediate return. read more

This Harbor Freight location has the worst customer service. Policies for returns when their product doesn't even last 40 hours. I purchased a pressure washer from this location. It stopped working 30-40 hours in. I tried to exchange it. They didn't have any in stock. He refused to find me another. Told me i was on my own. So i said fine you dont want to help. Please just refund me my money. They took 80.00 restock fee. Who restocks a broken item. Come to find out the minute you open the box, you will not get a full refund per their store policy. I guess you need tgat kind of policy when you sell crappy products. Worst part is per their policy if you purchase with a debit card they can fully refund you in cash. They refused to pay me cash and forced it to be put back on my debit card. Now i have to wait 10 business days to even see my refund. So i have no washer and no money to replace the washer. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Harbor Freight altogether!! read more

I was in the store to get my stuff an a few things for my dad. The checker named Cailean. I was walked up the register an told him I have 2 orders. He said in crappy voice if you are wanting to use 2 coupons it isn't happening. I told him I do it all the time he said did you hear me it isn't happening. One of the first places I check out when I need a new tool. Prices are very good, quality is good enough for the average home user. You can spend more on better tools, but when it's something that's used only once or twice a year, the options from Harbor Freight get the job done. I think hand tools have a "lifetime" warranty too, rather like Craftsman. Get on the mailing list for the circular. Every once in a while the tool you "need" will be on sale. I bought a Chicago Electric angle grinder for $10 a year or so ago and it was a $10 well spent. I don't think it would hold up to the rigors of daily use, but for around the house, it's an invaluable tool.There will also be X% off coupons too, that you can use on most anything, so that's the time for the big-ticket item on your wish list! I go here for tools that won't cost too much. This place is especially good for small DIY projects:-) Why pay more for tools at Home Depot or Lowes? I can understand name brands like Mikita, Craftsmen, Snap-On, Milwakee and Dewalt (which are excellent tools and drills ) you're willing to spend money on at HDepot and Lowes. Here, you're going to find no-name brands that wanna earn your business for 25%, 50% and sometimes 75% off the asking price. I am a Big Fan of Harbor Freight, I have spent thousands. Generators, tool boxes. I called this store to verify that they had the pc of equipment and would they hold it till the morning, She asked my name and said no problem. I called back 1 hr later to see if they also had another item. This person said yes but they would not hold it overnight. I said, I already have an item on hold and she said she would not only not hold this Item but would take my name off the other Item. I am also a Member of the Inside Track Club. I called customer service and they found another store with the Items I needed. Not only would I never go to this store but will slow my buying from any Harbor Freight for 2 months. Very disappointed with management! I go here every "redtag" sale and spend avg $50.00, I purchased all my tools here. I purchased a OBD deluxe Scan tool for 69.99, took it back a week later because I did not need it after all. They charged me $15.00 dollars as restocking fee?? I understand if someone returns a tool after use, you can refuse refund or charge them a restocking fee. But mine was still sealed in the plastic container and never opened with the receipt. The manager said it was their store policy so they went 15 dollar foolish and lost me forever. read more
