I came here today since i'm visiting my boyfriend and i needed a little tan. I work at a tanning salon and have for years and this is by far the BEST tanning salon i have ever gone to in my life. The owner is the sweetest, kindest, most gorgeous woman ever ! I only spoke to her for 15 minutes and I feel like the words i am using to describe her is an understatement. I was trying to get a nice tan for my wedding and split sessions between here and a large chain tanning salon for about a month before. The two times I went here I couldn't see any color change at all. I even did their highest level bed which was like $40, and I kid you not, I got out and went home and I didn't feel like I got any darker than I was before I went in. I have olive skin tone and tan very easily so it isn't that. And when I went to the other large chain salon I noticed a color change right away. So I don't know if this place just didn't suggest proper lotions, or their bulbs weren't good enough, but I was seriously disappointed, especially with the price I paid on the one bed... I was actually nervous I was going to be TOO tan after the expensive bed... but I shouldn't have worried because nothing happened at all. Other reviews seem to be good, so I don't know. Maybe it was a fluke, or bad timing. The customer service was great, they were super super nice there. So I feel bad for the negative review, because they were very nice, but it just didn't work for me. read more

Extremely friendly staff and reasonable prices for the quality of the beds. The level 5 bed is amazing and I love the redlight stand up booth with the vibrations to tone and reduce cellulite. I have gone here for a few months now and I think it is the best tanning studio around for several reasons... Prices are really reasonable, very clean, and the beds are strong- I use the high pressure bed occasionally just to help me upkeep in between my spray tans.The owner is so amazingly friendly and I also love the jewelry she sells. I just stopped in today to tan and picked up a beautiful necklace and earrings- unexpectedly but I fell in love with the set. This business is a great addition to the other services offered in the square. Nice work! PS- I woke up this morning and was blinded by my bronze glow. The HP bed, it's called italia or something of that nature, literally took me three to four shades darker in 15 minutes... no burn at all just glorious tan.. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Place is really clean and in a great location in the heart of Caton. I did the Mystic Tan. I did have some problems with the self-tanner rubbing off and it was not as I expected. It left a few weird 'orangey' marks on my hands. I have had Versa Spa at Palm Beach tans in the past, and it had worked much better for me as a self-tanner option. $25 per session of Mystic Tan which is reasonable with other places in the area. read more

This place is great! I have one complaint though... I like to double dip ( tan than spray ) and the mystic machine here is really old and outdated. There's nothing worse than leaving sticky and damp. All of the newer models do a better job at drying you and there is so much less smell. On the plus side, the salon is cute, convenient and their prices are very reasonable. Will continue to frequent this salon however I'd they get a new mystic machine I will be there 10x more! read more

I initially bought a session package. The few times I used it, it seemed a little disorganized when it got busy. I Went once during the day and the lady who typically works the front desk was so nice. She was able to explain the packages in detail and helped me switch my package for what I wanted. Don't get turned off if employees seem overwhelmed when there is a line. Also the beds give great color. read more

So glad I found this place!! I love it! I stumbled upon Harbor Lights Tanning Studio because I wanted to build a good base tan before my beach vacation and was/am more than pleased with my results. I can personalize my tanning experience and tailor my package to suit my needs (ex. upgrades, lotions, etc.). The staff are so approachable/friendly/knowledgeable. The studio is clean, the beds are excellent, parking is a breeze (on street) - I can always find a spot even when I return from work later in the evenings. I can't recommend this place enough! Very friendly place to tan! I can only speak for the mystic tan as I haven't used their other beds. It is definitely an older machine and was kind of suffocating to use. My color is a bit uneven (back of legs darker than front) and not quite as nice as the machines where you stand in different positions. All in all it got the job done when I needed a quick spray tan and the salon itself is lovely and clean! Definitely recommend going here in general, just maybe not for their Mystic. read more

First time ever getting a spray tan. The lady was extremely knowledgeable. I appreciate her walking me through how to hold my hands so I don't end up getting it on my palms. The salon was very clean. I ended up doing Dark but I'm definitely going to do Ultra next time. I think it would look better on my olive skin tone. This was 100x times easier than using tanning lotion. I always end up uneven on my back even when I use tools designed for applying it on my back. I love how a gorgeous tan gives you the illusion of a slimmer figure and whiter teeth. I went here to get my first Mystic Tan. They were so nice and helpful. I was a bit freaked out about the whole thing, but they made sure to walk me through all the instructions. I ended up getting a natural-looking, even tan. I am usually pretty pale so this is sort of a miraculous thing. I also really liked the atmosphere here. I felt comfortable. And, when I was there they had a cute dog walking around the place (I'm a sucker for cute animals, sorry). The only downside is that I thought it was a little too expensive given the fact that after 2 days you could barely tell I had anything done. I will go back, but only when I want to pamper myself. read more

I don't often tan but I'm glad to know this little gem is in Canton. The sweet and fabulous Greek woman who owns it makes certain the rooms are clean, the best lotions are for sale and the beds and bulbs are the the best to tan with. The most expensive bed is the one up front and I've only used that one because you literally do not burn. After two visits (and a long winter indoors) everyone commented on how tan I looked. They have very budget friendly options and packages too. And they give you a sanitized pair of goggles so no need to bring your own. Walk-ins welcome. 5 stars! read more

I really love the personal feel of this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and you never have to wait for your turn. It's very clean and well kept. I won't lie, the beds aren't the greatest - but they do the job. And you really can't beat the price... $25 a month for unlimited tanning is unheard of at bigger chains. Personally I favor the affordability and cute, "boutique" style of this place over a chain with top-of-the-line beds. I really find it charming. Because of the recent freezing temperatures (and the gross look of my pasty mid-winter skin tone), I decided to go tanning a few times while in Baltimore for the month. I decided to check out Harbor Lights because of their location and awesome reviews. They definitely did not disappoint. I opted for the Introductory Package II because it seemed like a really good value (it is!) and it included all the different levels/beds -- even a mystic tan (which can be swapped for a bed). The beds are great and the place is cute and well-maintained. It's easy to find parking and I've never had to wait to tan (although if I did, that would be fine). Perhaps what has impressed me most about Harbor Lights is the staff (specifically Ashley - she set up my account and she's usually working the few times I've gone). Overall, the staff as a whole seem super knowledgable, helpful and very friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. read more

I've been hesitant to write a review as it's not typically something that I do. While I understand that Harbor Lights is a small, family owned business, I recently experienced a less than ideal situation. At the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown, I reached out to request that my account be frozen while we awaited direction on the re-opening of non-essential businesses. I was told that they would do so unless otherwise notified by their clients. However, I received a charge for the month of June on June 17th and then received a notification via text that the studio would be re-opening on June 18th. When I called to ask why I was charged without my authorization, I was told- "we can't possibly notify all of our customers that they will be charged. We made a social media post about it." The social media post referenced simply states that they would re-open, not that current customers would be charged full price for the month of June. Shady business practice IMO so I opted to cancel my membership. I've since been reimbursed but heads up if you have an open account there that you will probably be charged without your consent. read more
