I have to share this with all of you that the Harborage Marina is one of the best marinas we have been on. Everybody here has been warm and welcoming! We signed up for a year it may be longer. All the staff here are so wonderful and helpful, polite, And the place is extremely clean! Mail and Laundry is a plus! I can't get over how quickly a pump out takes place here. Most of the places I have stayed at before we have to pump it out! But here Andrew comes over with his boat and he pumps out the boat in minutes, we're at other marinas it took us a half an hour. They have a heated poolAnd lots of parking space for cars to park in. Again I would like to thank all the staff for making our new home enjoyable! It's and easy commute from here to Weedon island preserve which is one of our favorite spots to anchor and relax on this side of the bay. The marina has a pool and a nice building with clean amenities such as bathrooms, wash/dryers etc. They do not have gas it this Marina but there is a place just outside of the Marina to get gas so you don't have to travel far. read more

Came in on a 90ft yacht. Called the morning of to make sure they could accommodate us to get 900 gallons of fuel. Over $2000 worth. We showed up at 2:30 (which is when we said we would arrive) and they turned us down. They turned us down because they were "busy and didn't have time for us". We were low on fuel and didn't have enough to get back to our home marina. If I was the owner of that marina and I found out that my employees turned down a 900 gallon sale, regardless of the situation, that employee would be fired. If you have to move a couple boats around, do it. If you have to stay open an extra half hour, do it. But especially when you have a large sale, you should never turn them away. Terrible customer service. Won't be coming back here. Would recommend anyone else to choose another marina. read more

What a disappointment this place is. So bad that I'll not do business with another Safe Harbor Marina again. The good is that they have floating docks and it's quite close to downtown St Pete. The pool is nothing to get excited about with the 3 beat up chairs and a small table but it is a pool on a hot day. My main issues with the marina... They pick and choose how charter friendly they want to be. I was told when I came in that I was going to be chartering out of there and was told it was no issue with the proper commercial insurance. For some reason they took issue with my chartering the boat despite having everything completely legal and the proper insurance coverage. Maintenance of the marina is basically non-existent. It's a large marina and they have a couple guys that handle everything, which is very little. For an older marina you'd expect to see them occasionally power washing or painting. I didn't see this once in the year I was there. They are starting to fix some of the docks, however multiple people I spoke with mentioned they had been begging the front office to fix loose cleats with no luck. It's a marina. The first thing you are paying for is secure storage of your boat and they won't fix loose cleats attached to rotting wood? This alone is unacceptable. Where they truly fail is the completely rude and inept staff in the front office. The attitude comes from the top with the general manager Brian Sweeny. I found the condescending nature of my visits with the office so bad that I discontinued anything in person and handled it over email. The fact I'll never have to deal with any of these clowns again is nice. I spent over $25k in slip fees in a year and was consistently treated like dirt by these people. Because I found it so unacceptable to spend this kind of money and get treated so poorly at every step, I reached out to Safe Harbor Marinas. First to the regional VP that handles Florida, who also was very rude then to the CEO and several VP's at corporate, which completely ignored my email. There are some good things going for this marina, but if you don't like dealing with a-holes, I'd steer clear and find somewhere else. My new marina isn't nearly as wound up as this group. read more

We've used the high and dry storage for approx 5 months now. There have been a few hiccups in regards to payment not automatically being drafted the first 2 months and a few times of miscommunication when arriving and our boat wasn't in the water. I'm sure that could happen anywhere. I will say the last time we were out, they didn't flush our engines with fresh water. One time mistake ok, hopefully that won't happen again! One awesome factor that we love is the ability to utilize the wet slips for the evening when available free of charge. Mike and Aaron always take good care of us. I was initially concerned about some of the reviews, but I decided to move my boat here to the high and dry anyway because it's a great location where I prefer to boat. I have to say in the year that I have been here, I have had nothing but good service from everyone, and no billing issues. From time to time when I have guests in town, I request a wet slip so the boat is accessable after hours if we want to come and go early or late on a whim, and the office has always been very accommodating finding an open space for a few days. I have absolutely no complaints. Nice marina, nice staff, nice location... Highly recommend. read more

POOR Review for this place! I had Mike Shepard to work with my boat. In 6 months, there was NOBODY interested to take it on the water. When I picked up my boat, it's amazing how destroyed it was. My boat used up 60 extra hours on it when nobody paid for the ride test.... There were a list of missing items: Emergency wrist strap Two sport life jackets Six orange life jackets Boat Plug Two damaged scratches Cup holders 60+ extra hours on it. Before I picked up my boat, I shared my concern that Mike mentioned several times that my boat wasn't in good condition.. I assumed it is because of the rain and lack of maintenance that probably could have done better. I was yelled at. It was horrible. It's hard because I moved to Texas while he was still in Florida. I was totally helpless, but no choice to pick it up in badly damaged shape. Don't go to this place especially Mike. He was a nice guy at the beginning though. I'm not sure what happened. read more

Freedom Boat Club is a scam! They sell you on a membership that has a big entry fee and you'll be lucky to be able to schedule a boat unless you book 5 to 6 weeks in advance. No customer service and they admitted they don't have enough boats after I complained yet they will not make good on it. They also continued to charge my card for weeks. read more

Harborage Marina is one of the nicer marinas in Tampa Bay. Their concrete floating docks make for easy docking and access, and they have decent facilities for restrooms, washing machines, and captains lounge. They also have the Bayboro Cafe at the property which I've reviewed separately and like it a lot, If you are boating to St. Petersburg, this marina is ten times superior than the municipal marina or the Vinoy. The fixed concrete docks in those two are, to put it mildly, not nice. Harborage is located next to the old Dali Museum, which is a short walk from downtown St. Pete. The municipal marina is much closer, but I'd rather walk and extra mile or two and dock in a nice, protected area. For those looking for permanent mooring this is a good spot, albeit a bit pricey. When planning a getaway in the St. Pete area, Harborage is on my short list. read more

The best thing going for this marina is the floating docks. The facilities are very small for the size of the marina. There used to be cable at every slip, but that system malfunctioned so they just eliminated that service. Parking is in a big dirt lot or across the street in a paved lot. The current office staff. The GM Brian is great and very responsive. The dock master occupies space. The office manager, Cindy, loses payments, messes up the electricity fees, and is unresponsive. We have been through a lot of dock masters and office managers. Wish they would come back as they were so much more customer friendly. read more

We stayed at the Harborage for a few months during the spring. Nice, very clean and good neighbors. Pros: Clean, secure, floating docks, responsive dockmaster and GM, nice (but very small) captain's lounge, inexpensive laundry facilities, somewhat pet friendly. Cons: A bit far from downtown, continuous problems with accounting, a bit pricey, crazy deposit refund policy. Suggestions: If you head to Harborage check your electric meter upon arrival, record the numbers and monitor yourself. If you set up 'auto pay' double check with the office. We had to request that payments be deducted each month. Know that they will refund your deposit in two weeks via check. This is a bit problematic for some cruisers. Expect accounting problems. read more

Let me start it's a big Marina. Hard to get an Uber not really a front on the street. I was on the transit dock on the outside slip and rocked all night I called ahead and asked how much for a transit slip for a night because I was coming in after the office closes. I was told $111 and change for a 43' boat. I go up to pay a she's on that's plus tax and electric. So ended up over $130 I am not sure why a business can't give you an honest price. I stay at marinas a good bit and all tell you a total. The ones that don't I don't trust. Just be honest had I just paid the 111 in the drop box provided maybe they would start giving the real price. Not a happy boater today. Should have stayed on the hook in the little bay here. read more

I've used the in-water end of the Harborage Marina for four years now and the experience has been consistently good. The staff is friendly and helpful as are fellow boaters, all of it is very clean, and most amenities are offered except for a place to eat and drink on the property. However, there are plenty of good places to get to walking, boating, or cab in St Pete (public slips in the Muni Marina). read more

A great marina with concrete, floating docks. The facilities are clean, great neighbors and the marina has a STAFF! They are professional and customer oriented, and go out of the way to make sure you feel appreciated. The pool is clean and a great gathering place for a BBQ. I have lived aboard for 13+ years now, and have been to, or lived at, many other marinas, and have been slipped at the Harborage for over a year now. They have topped the list, in my experience. It is within bike or walking distance to grocery stores and the many amenities and entertainment of downtown St Pete, including soccer (Go Rowdies!) and baseball. And close to a few fast food joints when your in a pinch. They are pet friendly, and the guests take care of their stuff. Highly recommended. A bit pricey... but worth the extra nickle. read more

The Harborage Marina is one of the nicest marinas I have stayed at in over two and a half decades of sailing up and down the east coast of the US and Gulf of Mexico. Access to the facility including their concrete floating docks ,clean showers and restrooms, and captains lounge, is all through keyed secure entrances. The staff is helpful and friendly. In short, this is one of the most meticulously clean marinas I have stayed at. The Harborage is conveniently located. It is within walking distance of many downtown restaurants and museums. A large grocery is also within walking distance. Another perk is a fifteen or twenty minute walk to the annual Indy Car race. For those looking for a long or short term stay it is a great spot. read more

I kept my boat at their high and dry for approximately 10 years. The service and attitude has declined steadily as the monthly fee has skyrocketed. They used to have dock space available in the main marina with nice floating docks if you wanted to stay out after hours. That was discontinued. They stop hauling boats out ridiculously early and then in the AM they are busy putting away yesterday's boats that were left tied to totally inadequate docks at the high and dry. If you call at 8 am you will always get an irritated response from Sean that they are real busy and can't get you in until 10 AM. When they replaced the roof at the high and dry the workers burned up the new carpet on my trailer that I was also storing there. Recently they did more work on the building and the workers got bad rust stains all over my boat and my new engines. Cindy is nasty and rude without fail every time you talk to her, she used my bank account without my consent to charge me a small remaining balance because my last month deposit was smaller than the new monthly rate, after I took the boat out of there. It used to be a nice place but not any more, I will never go back. read more

I really wish I could write a favorable review of this place. Brian, and all of the boat hands are great, but be-ware of Cindy their accountant. Before she worked here the place was great, although there was a mix up with on our account that took several months to figure out, and we had since been paying MORE every month, to fix a mistake that they had made. Once she began working, she was made aware of the situation. A few months went by, and she started tacking on fee's that were completely unnecessary because she wanted us to pay in full the amount THEY messed up on. This was not the arrangement we made with Brian. When my husband went to speak with Cindy about the changes, she said " Its our responsibility as adults to make sure our accounts are correct" My husband and I are younger, we both work well over 80 hrs. a week, and because we are paying back on a scheduled plan, we are very aware of our bank accounts, thus the reason for a payment plan. I don't need a women who doesn't know my personal financial situation telling me how I should spend my money. She recently decided that she was not going to allow us to take our boat out until we "promised her to pay in full because my husband was "upset" with her last time they spoke." This doesn't sound like correct protocol, no phone call or anything in the mail. I will not, nor should anyone else spending money on a luxury item be told what to do, by a rude, person such as this. We have never complained about the fact that our boat-now has permanent rust damage due to the leaking roof in dry storage- bat feces because bats lived in the ceiling of the dry storage, replacing and paying for a new depth finder because they broke ours off of the boat, or grease shoe stains on the newly detailed seats. Their are plenty of other Marina's in the area that won't give you such a bad headache. read more

As several people stated in this review this place is crap. In the beginning they were all nice, left and then once I came back it all started. I bought 2 new marine batteries, 1 was stolen went unnoticed until I realized when confronted them all up in arms and kicked me out. I also had non removable rust stains from their leaking roof. Cindy is an absolute terror to work with I paid them with cash and mysteriously it didnt get posted. She also informed me I could not take my boat out until it was paid. Then they said checked the cameras and I did not come up paying. However their cameras didnt catch someone stealing my battery. Then we go out for memorial day they put my boat in the water all my friends there walk up to rust and bat feces all over the boat I get upset and all of a sudden I am hard to work with. I call them a day later they tell me I need to go and leave the marina. Then a month down the road I get a letter they say that I didnt tie up my boat properly I was in the US NAVY I think I know how to tie up. They stated my boat floated down river and hit another boat. They do not tell me this but send me a bill, no police report, no pictures no evidence. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE going there they will lie, steal and ruin your prized boat. I am contacting a lawyer to see what can be done. read more
