Hammocks on the bay at SkyBeach Resort

Hotel has completed a great renovation. The tiki bar, beach are excellent. The cabanas are so comfortable and they'll service you lunch and drinks. Staff is very pleasant and accommodation. Beautiful views of Tampa bay. Love this place.

I came to a party event festival type on Fourth of July and it was great. We got the vip tickets so we could get access to the vip pool and area but honestly it's not necessary because the free water was also in the general areas. We arrived early so luckily could park outside the hotel for free. The resort is nice with a view on the bridge and water. The pool was nice but very warm. I did not go in the hot tub. It's nice you got both pools and beach. The lobby had free cookies. Outside there's free sunscreen and aloe Vera. The rooms are basic but fine. Overall a fun hot day.

Stayed here with immediate and extended family between Christmas and New Year. From the outside the resort isn't fancy, but the back grounds and private beach are very nice. The beach setup, cabanas, daybeds, and food/drink service to the beach were great, and we enjoyed seeing dolphins and wildlife. There are lots of activities available, including kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, tennis, and pickleball. Rooms were clean but basic with a bit of a motel feel since they are accessed from outside. Bathrooms were nicely updated, but the beds were very small. Housekeeping did not service our room at all during our 2-night stay. Front desk communication was inconsistent regarding room placement and early check-in, and some included or advertised amenities (welcome champagne, hot tub, sunrise yoga) were unavailable. The absolute highlight of the resort was Jamie. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and hardworking, helping us with activities, moving chairs so our family could sit together, taking photos, and keeping the grounds clean. She truly made our stay special. Overall, we had a good time spending quality time with family, and as long as expectations are set for comfortable--but not luxury--accommodations, this can be an enjoyable stay.

We stayed at Sky Beach Resort while in town for a friend's engagement party at a nearby country club. Since our whole group was staying here, it was convenient, and I really liked the idea of an all-inclusive setup. Once you're on the property, it's much nicer than it first appears. The resort is well maintained and offers a good variety of amenities -- a couple of pools (including an adults-only one), pickleball courts, a sandy beach area, a nice bar, and a lively music space. Our main issue was that our room faced the hot tub area, and the noise went on late into the night. Unfortunately, we didn't get much sleep. To their credit, the management handled it well and refunded half of our stay, which I really appreciated. Still, I think they could improve by having security or staff walk the property at night to help maintain a quieter environment. On the positive side, the little café on-site was a pleasant surprise -- I enjoyed a great cappuccino there in the morning. The resort has also been redone since the last hurricane, and the updates look beautiful. Overall, Sky Beach Resort has a lot to offer and shows real potential. I just wish our experience was a bit better! If you're planning a stay, I'd recommend requesting a room away from the hot tub area for a more restful experience.

    Cabana for 6 people

The Day Passes were sold out for the day we wanted for access to the pool, so we decided to try the cabana day bed for 6 people. It included waters, a bottle of wine and a fruit platter which was nice however a $350 cabana bed for 6 people was shockingly small. The listing says we would receive 6 liquid death waters and we only received 3. The actual bed itself was dirty with lots of stains, so if you choose this option- definitely bring your own towel or blanket to put down. I didn't like that I had to leave my things at the bed to access the pool. So our bucket sat in the hot sun while we were at the pool. I feel like there should be some type of table or a shade over the bucket of drinks. It's better to get this if you're there for drinks and to listen to the DJ/swim in the bay. Proximity to the pool isn't ideal. The coffee place Paradecco is awesome! I recommend trying a coffee and food from there.

We were absolutely delighted to enjoy a day at SkyBeach by using Resort Pass. It's not the most glitz n glamour hotel but every single corner of this place is utilized in the most adorable fashion. Everywhere you go, you stumble upon decorated nooks and trendy sitting areas. It was a weekday when we visited and not very busy at all. As the afternoon went on it got busier but never had to compete for seating. They have plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach with towels available. Two food options. An adorable cafe in which we ordered a surprisingly above average breakfast from. The restaurant/bar is open to the water with high tops and lounge areas. Sam was a killer bartender, super accommodating and personable. The upstairs of the restaurant was not open which was a little disappointing but didn't damper our experience. I loved that they had floats in the water, as well as, complimentary kayaks and paddle boards to use. We were able to try paddle boarding for the first time and even saw a dolphin nearby!

Food at the sky deck was fantastic!

I traveled to St. Petersburg for a quick work event and stumbled upon this absolute gem. One of my favorite things about exploring Florida is how it still manages to surprise me with its beauty--and SkyBeach delivered on every level. As someone who's always on the hunt for healthy options while traveling, I was thrilled by the on-site juice bar with fresh smoothies and pastries, plus the Sky Deck's mahi-mahi fish tacos were chef's kiss. The staff struck that perfect balance of friendly and professional--warm, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. Even though I was only there for two nights, it felt like a full-on mini vacation. It's a fantastic property, an excellent event venue, and a place I'd wholeheartedly recommend whether you're traveling for work or pleasure.

I decided to enjoy the pool pass! Wow! What a beautiful property! I will definitely plan to come back.

We went to The SkyBeach Resort to hear a Zac Brown cover band and I must say I was very impressed with all of it. The hotel/bar has been renovated since hurricane Helene and they did a fantastic job especially with the bar/stage area. You'll find a sandy beach in front of the stage with comfy wooden chairs as well as cushioned sofa areas you can rent; there's also plenty of table seating around the bar upstairs and down. It's next to I-275N the first exit on the right after the skyway. The two story bar has views all around with its wrap around porch, perfect for sunset views and people watching. The bartenders work very efficiently and friendly while making tasty effective drinks. We did not order food so I cannot speak on that. Perhaps next time we will try the food.

This little resort was wrecked from the last hurricane, but it is back in full swing! Two large pools, a beach, and an awesome two story bar on the beach! The rooms are quite small and have either two full sized beds or one king.

The burger I got for the restaurant

The food at SkyBeach Resort is horrible, the stay is way overpriced, and the place looks disgusting. The staff is rude and clearly don't know how to cook properly. I asked for a medium-rare steak and it was not cooked correctly at all. This resort is WAY too overpriced for the quality you actually receive. Save yourself the time and money and stay somewhere else -- somewhere you can enjoy your food and not waste a lot of money on something that should cost a third of the price.

First time here last night to hear a band and was amazed about how cool this place is. My new favorite music venue by far. I am local, but will probably book a room to stay here. Watched two cruise ships go under the skyway bridge... Very cool! Bartenders are very nice and reasonably priced drinks.

The room was just right for me and my friend! Updated, clean, and minimalist. We loved having a small private beach, hammocks and on site dining. It was also great highway access to get to Tampa, Sarasota, and Reddington Beach. I would definitely go back!

In addition, there was significant construction noise throughout our stay, which impacted the overall experience. Several amenities we were looking forward to were also unavailable. We immediately reported it to the front desk, who told us they could not access the valet cameras and that we would need to contact corporate, but would not provide us with any information on how to do so. My fiancé was at work, so I contacted law enforcement. This remains under investigation, so I will not speculate publicly about who is responsible. This review is about how The Hotel Zamora and its management handled us during our stay and after we left. Because my fiancé was working, I communicated with the assistant manager, David Engler, on my fiancé's behalf. I spent hours asking David for basic communication, updates, and assistance, only to receive dismissive responses and an attitude rather than empathy or urgency. During our interactions, David repeatedly rolled his eyes and visibly clenched his fists while I was speaking. Other staff witnessed these interactions. When David would return to his office, other employees apologized to me for how the situation was being handled and offered things such as complimentary drink cards. Once my fiancé was physically present, David's demeanor noticeably changed. I should not have to have my fiancé standing beside me before I am treated with basic respect and professionalism. The missing Mac mini was my fiancé's primary work computer. The entire reason for our stay was his business trip, and its loss has continued to affect his work. Despite this, we experienced very little urgency or concern from management. The surveillance footage was important to the ongoing investigation, yet we spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to obtain updates. We asked whether the hotel could accommodate another night so we could remain available while the investigation continued. Instead, we were told we could simply pay for another night ourselves at a discounted rate, then told we'd have to pay at full rate, and then told by the assistant manager that we would "confront people." This was comical. At no point did either of us say that we intended to confront anyone. We are both working professionals who were trying to handle an incredibly frustrating situation while continuing to meet our professional obligations. We explained that we live hours away and wanted to remain reachable in case the property was recovered so we would not have to make multiple trips back to the area. The last excuse we were told was that the hotel could not accommodate us because they were nearly booked for the weekend. We attempted to contact the General Manager, Shannan May, multiple times by phone and email. We did not receive a response from her during our stay. The assistant manager acknowledged that he was aware we had been attempting to reach Shannan, yet she still did not contact us directly. For a situation this serious, we found it extremely disappointing that the General Manager did not extend the basic courtesy of personally reaching out to the guests involved. After we had already checked out, Shannan eventually emailed us stating that we could have dinner on them, our resort and parking fees would be waived and that the booking agency would be contacted regarding compensation. We have still received no meaningful resolution or direct follow-up from management. The hotel cannot control every incident that happens to a guest. It absolutely does control how it responds. We expected communication, empathy, cooperation, and management that actually took the situation seriously. Instead, we felt dismissed, unsupported, and blamed for being upset about what happened. The investigation remains ongoing. Regardless of its outcome, our experience with the hotel's management was unacceptable. I have never left a review anywhere before. This experience was bad enough that I felt compelled to leave one. I would absolutely not recommend staying here.
