I don't understand how the Diocese of Bridgeport hasn't removed Chris and Scott from their positions in this school. As a former student at this school, I can honestly say that because of the fact I attended this school I am less equipped for the real world and feel that my family and I have been robbed of our hard earned money and of the education we were promised here. It's unfortunate that a school with a name like "Notre Dame" doesn't live up to the expectations a name like that comes with. With a vice principal who was forced to take an indefinite leave of absence from his previous job under suspicious circumstances, and a principal who cares about nothing but power and his own personal agenda, this school really could do better. To all the parents out there looking at high schools for your children, send them to Saint Joe's, Notre Dame West Haven, Lauralton Hall, Fairfield Prep, or just public school. Honestly, sending them anywhere is better than this school. Unless you want your children to be treated like they're nothing and disrespected in every way possible I urge you to find a better school. Bishop Caggiano, if you're reading this, I beg of you, remove Christopher Cipriano and put in his place someone who truly has the students faith and well-being in mind. Echo Hose Training center offers a variety of classes with very reasonable prices. They have a…read morecaring staff and great classes. After taking one of their classes I decided to become a member of their ambulance corps because I loved the people here so much. (I have now been a happy member of Echo Hose Ambulance Corps for 2 years). The instructors here are incredibly knowledgable and want their students to learn in a way they can pass any state exam AND ALSO so that they can succeed out in the field. All of the instructors have given me and other students important lessons that aren't always in a book. Because of these great teachers I will feel more comfortable in an emergency, responding to 911 calls, and even MCIs. Echo Hose offers excellent quality classes and also very personable instructors that have passion for what they teach. Aside example of how great they are: During my state Recertification exam I was cold (I always am) and so I was hunched over taking the exam. One of the instructors, Pat, noticed. He went into the back office and came back with a fleece blanket and told me I could wrap that around myself to stay warmer. I finished off my exam more comfortably and warmer. Thank you Pat and the rest of the Echo Hose Training center team for always making those in your classes feel welcome and like family. I highly recommend taking the refresher courses, CPR classes, or any other EMS class Echo Hose offers.

The Fairfield school is closer to me but they never responded to any of my calls or emails. Milford responded right away. They were very friendly and professional with a good sense of fun and enjoyment of what they do. Bear in mind that they don't like to offer any criticism even though it may be constructive. This is because they don't make any money by discouraging students no matter how untalented they may be. Personally, I welcome correction because it leads to improvement. The teachers com from a variety of backgrounds. My teacher was a graduate of a college level music program and he really knew his stuff!

It's a classic Catholic school: people matter; people are important; personal gifts are to be developed and it provides a place where everyone is accepted. I look back on my 9 years (yes; kindergarten, too) at HTS with great appreciation for the teachers and the Sisters. It was a happy place to be and I made friends who were nice kids who grew up to be even nicer people! Tuition paid for a Catholic school is the best investment you can make for your child. I know it was for my parents--they got a solid educational return for their money and their children went to great Catholic high schools and earned graduate degrees. Congratulations, HTS!
