My husband and I wanted to try a meal prep service as our work schedules do not leave us with much time to enjoy, well, free time! After much research online we were not too keen on the idea of having food shipped to us from another state, etc. In our research, we stumbled upon Hard Body Meals in Haverhill, MA, being a Methuen resident, we were very excited and not to mention happy to work with a local small business!. Honestly, at first I thought the place was geared towards "body builders" but it's not...it's just a very clever name! After reviewing all of the food choices we decided to give it a shot and plan a week's worth of meals. My husband tried breakfast, lunch and dinner and just lunch and dinner for myself. The website was very user friendly. I remember our first Sunday pick up for the week, the staff was extremely kind and gracious. Well, Monday comes and we were very eager to try our food. My husband is a fan of the egg whites with steak, fish for lunch and ground turkey for dinner. My choices are normally fish and ground turkey as well with either sweet potato or veggies. So how was it? Let's just say we have been ordering since January 2019! The food is absolutely amazing and truly surpassed our expectations. It's funny because we actually "crave" some of the food items (especially the shrimp and salmon) and can't wait to eat! We have told several people about our experience and the first question always is "How much is it"? I am very quick to respond! I used to spend over $200.00 on food every week at the market for just my husband and I and unfortunately would end up throwing most of it away by the following week. And if we got take out on a weeknight it would cost anywhere from $30-45. Hard Body Meals has not only saved us precious time but MONEY! I was eating Megafit Meals for a year and a half. The food would always be delivered within 2 days in a box with frozen ice. It was alright, but it started to question if I should try another company. Since I made the move to Hard Body Meals, I have not looked back. It has almost been 1 Year since I started eating Hard Body Meals. The food they prep is mad good. From the chicken, steak, fish, ground turkey, shrimp, pancakes, everything. The quality of food is critical and they know how to maintain it. I have never had a problem with their food. I love that they are local in Haverhill MA and I can do pick ups Wednesday and Sunday. This company is an excellent choice for your meal prep needs. I'm able to custom build all of my meals based on my needs at the time of order. Food is fresh, tastes great and doesn't have added ingredients or preservatives. I love that the proteins are simple and not covered in sauces. The delivery option is a huge plus too! Highly recommend if you're an athlete looking for healthy meal options, but also just an average person who doesn't enjoy cooking for yourself and wants a delicious and healthy meal. I work a ton of hours during the winter and Hard Body Meals saves me having to spend my one day off (Sunday's) doing meal prep for the week. The food freezes and reheats well too!! I don't care about macros. So this review is based solely on the quality of the food. I recommend Hard Body Meals 10/10, every time. The meal selection is delicious. They have several different options and you can always mix and match the food and side options based on your preference. The food is GREAT and is definitely a much healthier option (regardless if you count macros or not). I've done meal preps (10 meals) and some times have lasted me 2 weeks and still tasted fresh like it was just made. I've also done pick up meals (same day). Super friendly management and staff!!
