Scam! Ordered on their website and paid in full. Owner called me to say they didn't have most of my ordered and he was calling bc "he's an honest man" and when I asked about a refund he said I'd have to cancel my order online. Confused that I didn't see a cancel option I said I was in the parking lot and would be right in - he sounded caught off guard. He was very bizarre as soon as I walked in - I said you just told me to cancel online and he cut me off saying he didn't tell me he called me. Ok ... He gave me my receipt, proving I ordered, admitted he couldn't fulfill it and when I showed him his website saying there was no option to cancel he kept shrugging. Then he said it wasn't his website even though he'd handed me the receipt for my order. I've never seen anything like this. Facebook has reviews talking about some affair he had and how his dating isn't anyone's business This man should be confined - gave me super creeps and I felt uncomfortable alone with him as he kept shrugging that he didn't know how to cancel and wouldn't refund me. I just got done with a review of a new Roast Beef place in Woburn, "Mad Matt's." It wasn't positive. So today I had a hankering for a GOOD roast beef sandwich, Peter's Pizza and Roast Beef, where I generally have a good experience, roast beef wise that is. Walked in, first thing I noticed was that Newsmax wasn't on the TV, it was some cooking show. Second thing, "Who are these new people behind the counter?" Maybe the owner hired some new employees and he's off for the day or on vacation. Anyway, I ordered my usual and got a side of onion rings. Came to almost $20.00. Onion rings cost that much now? Whatever, I'm here, and it's my day off. Splurge. They brought a ceramic dish over with my food on it. Yep, must be new owners, they never had dinnerware here. It seems every time a good eatery changes hands they go downhill. My order looked good. "Looked" is all it was. I took a bite, in a word, gross. It tasted weird and smelled like, let's see....window putty. It also hinted of being rancid. I spit out the two bites I tried. Here's a tip for you guys, if there isn't any customers ordering, put the meat back in the fridge. Or, after the second day of serving from the same roast, toss it out, by then it starts to turn. It's not rocket science! The onion rings were way over done, hard as rocks. I don't like rings that fall apart either, but there's a perfect cooking time and this wasn't it. Ate a few edible ones and tossed out the rest. I learned not to complain when I get a bad meal because that never ends in a refund. Or I don't trust them when I send the food back for a substitute. Not worth the risk. The uneaten sandwich I wrapped in napkins and put it in my pocket. When I got to the grocery store down the road I tossed it out my window for the hungry seagulls. One came down and wolfed it in a few bites. Looks like he enjoyed it, bon appetit my feathered friend! My last roast beef go-to is Kaput. Finis. Finito. My only choice in the meantime is to cook a nice roast myself at home. At least it won't be a guessing game, a roll of the dice, a gamble that either I'm served good quality beef and have a pleasurable eating experience, or I'm fed the equivalent of road kill that results in me throwing food away as well as my money. My twenty dollar bill is safe and secure in your cash register. Meanwhile the slop you just served me ends up as garbage instead of sustenance. Who's the winner in that scenario? (Rhetorical question.) If I give one star reviews on here it's not because I'm mean or I'm too picky, I do it so maybe, just maybe, it will change the way they prepare and cook their food. What I write down is my honest experience at your establishment. If you want to make improvements by what people on Yelp criticize about, great! The customers will win in the long run. If not, then just keep what you're doing in the name of making bank by cutting corners and your customers and business will lose out because of it. read more

I had eaten here in the past and it was decent, But last Monday, Patriot's day, I got a large Roast Beef sandwich to go, and it was literally the worst sandwich I've ever eaten. It was made up of all silver dollar size slices of the butt end of the Roast Beef. What I would refer to as scraps, but I wouldn't even feed that to my dog! I took two bites of the sandwich and threw the rest away. I started to feel nauseous, shortly there after and barely made it home from work to N.H. from Wilmington, Ma. that afternoon. I'm still looking for the "buffalo" in my Grilled Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and the garlic bread, which was supposed to have Marinara sauce and Mozzarella cheese, tasted like ketchup and Kraft cheese instead. So I've worked in the area for about 2 1/2 years and I didn't know this place existing until a month ago! I had to return some cable equipment to Comcast (which was the easiest experience at that Wilmington Comcast...but that's another review...) -- and noticed Peter's Pizza & Roast Beef in the same plaza and decided to check it out for lunch. The staff is very friendly. The menu options are what you'd expect for a local sub shop. I had a steak and cheese sub that was pretty excellent. They have great fries too! I ordered a cheeseburger sub and onion rings. The cheeseburger sub was average. Its hard to go wrong with a burger.. the bread could have been toasted or something and they added mayo but didnt add ketchup which i feel like is unheard of.. i didnt even ask for mayo. This particular time (today), we ordered food at 6:20pm and it's now 8:00pm and we still haven't gotten our food. We moved to Wilmington in November. We have tried this place 5+ times. Tonight we ordered two salads and an order of mozzarella sticks. First of all it took 1.5+ hours to arrive (we are less than 1.5 miles away). Second, the mozzarella sticks were ice cold and the salad with chicken was wilted because it had clearly been sitting for a very long time. Third (and this has been every single time we have ordered). when you call to find out what could possibly be taking so long they say "all orders have been sent out it should be there any minute". So far Peter's has come out as my favorite pie in Wilmington. I have never actually been to their location I have only ordered delivery, but their drivers are prompt, courteous and my food is always warm. Their pizza has great texture with just the right kind of flavor while warm (plus it is good cold the next day as well). The big thing about Peter's is their calzones. I ordered their eggplant parm calzone and the thing weighed as much as a Vespa. It was a very tasty Eggplant parm calzone with flavorful breading and sauce with a little bite. Ordered lunch at 2:20, had to call an hour later to find out where the order was. Was told it would be there in 15 minutes. Another half an hour passed, still no order. Called again and was told they were on the way and that we lived "far away" and that they'd be there in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, they finally arrived. The pizza was cold, the roll on my sub was hard and there were olives on one of the subs when we asked for no olives. I called to complain, was told to call the owner today, I called and he's not in. I've been going to reflexology in the plaza where Peter's Roast Beef is for over a year and haven't stopped in because I have always eat prior or I am about to go out to eat. This time I wasn't doing either and was starving. This place hands down has the BEST chicken kabob salad I have ever had in my life. The chicken is grilled over an open flame and the portion was generous for under $9. I am looking forward to going back in a little over a week when I have my reflexology again! I don't know whether this place was sold, or is just cutting costs, but they have definitely gone downhill in the past few months. I was a loyal regular customer for quite a long time but not anymore. It started with the french fries. They used to be regular cut - like you would cut if you made them at home. Now they are using skinny little fries that dry out when they are fried. They used to have a decent tuna salad - white tuna - and it was good. Now they use a very fishy tasting light tuna and while they were always over-generous with the mayo, this was way more mayo than tuna. It was inedible. I used to love their haddock sub, and the last time I got it, there were small, dried out pieces of fried fish instead of the more generous size that was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I hope they can pull their act together, because cutting corners like this won't save a business, quite the opposite in fact. read more
