I got my first ever tattoos (2 at once, pssh I'm a bad-ass, duh) at Kadillac Tattoo Deuce about five years ago. Scott Bakoss, who is a fantastic artist and funny, kind man drew up my designs in no time. Today, I am a tattoo addict of course, racking up eleven tattoos from this shop in particular. I've received hundreds of compliments over the years on each of my tattoos done by Bakoss, some people telling me that certain tattoos of mine are some of the best they have ever seen. Bakoss is the only artist I've personally ever had work done by, but Mike seems like a really nice guy and I know he has a large group of people who frequent him. This shop is clean, fun, and I'd agree that it is a hidden gem that many just don't know about due to the location (which is in the middle of a semi-ghetto neighborhood). I have tons of friends who have gotten numerous tattoos from this shop, as well as my mom, brother, and my boyfriend who has a full sleeve! ( I took pictures and gave moral support) They finished up a bit later than planned but only charged her for the 2 hours. I was recommended this place by a friend. I usually go to way out for piercings but last time I got my nipples pierced there they rejected and one was crooked. I came here to get them redone and I cannot be any more happy with them. I also go my daith done on the same day. Kyle did a great job. My piercings are healing wonderfully and my nipples are doing a lot better then they were the first time around. They recommended I use bactine for my piercings as it is stronger then h2ocean (which is what I was recommended at way out). I love the bactine because it really did help with the pain the first couple of days and seems to be making my piercings heal a lot quicker. Ill admit I was a bit hesitant to get my nipples pierced by a guy because I'm shy. But Kyle was so professional. He made the whole experience a breeze. read more

Wonderful place! Recently got my first tattoo here and was nervous about how it would come out. I brought in a picture of watercolor style flowers that I wanted to get on the back of my shoulder. Mike Hooligan did my piece and did a beautiful job, it looked exactly like the picture I brought in. Clean place with a friendly and helpful staff. In August I got my bellybutton piercing done with my best friend on her birthday. But when I got it done the piercer didn't even ask me what kind of stud I wanted he just gave me the hoop stud. I went in here just for earings. this big guy sat me in the back in an office and decided to put them on they were ball screw on earings he forced them to the point of no return in my ear as I was in teary pain awing and clenching as he laughed and after alllll six said that will be 60$ mind u I have a few keyloids as if I needed more Paine after those being injected 16 times. he thought it was funny...and kind of got turned on by it...I was pist and should of dropt kikt the smile right off his face.. when someone is trusting u with there body treat it like it's your own. I was in pain and I have no need for these earings because my ear holes are small normal not big and he new it wouldn't go in. he shouldn't of tried to force them. I don't and can't use the earings I bought for mind u 60$. Witch I also didn't no the price until they were already on me..very unprofessional and I draw tattoos. This shop is a gem hidden in the Northeast. This isn't my normal neck of the woods; however, with the friendliness and personalities of the artists at this shop, you would think that I grew up down the street from them. I'm currently active duty military and while I was in town visiting some family, I had the urge to check out some tattoo shops and fish around for ideas. I came across this shop on a Saturday afternoon with a VERY unset mind on what I was going to get. Mike (I believe his last name was Hooligan or something along those lines) was EXTREMELY helpful. Not only was he very patient with me while I chose what I would get, he was very cognizant of ALL the multiple styles of tattooing displayed in the shop. His work was precise, expeditious, and above all when it comes to tattooing; He was light-handed! (Which was surprising considering his muscular stature). I would personally recommend to anyone who is looking for a tattoo whether they're from Philadelphia or just visiting. read more

It was an item on my so called "bucket list" to get a tattoo from Eric Perfect, it was so much more when I won a Instagram tattoo giveaway, a traditional tiger head. It happened during my son & my birthday weekend (his birthday is a day before mine, in reality 50 minutes before midnight), traveled from central Ohio to Philly. It was expected a great experience, Kadillac Tattoo Deuce is a great old school "street jobs".. Eric is a super fun character who likes the word "fucking" and he doesn't hide it ;} Something else that was great is one of the tattoo artists -Mike Dunbar- was done tattooing another customer, then he came over & watched the "master" (Eric) perform his craft. I think another guy was an apprentice who did the same. All in all a fantastic time & Im sure I'll be back... maybe another tattoo from Eric, and definitely want 1 from Mike. Yesterday I arrived with my girlfriend to get a tattoo, at 8:30p.m.,. Two gentlemen were outside, mind you I got a tattoo done here about 7 years ago, and recently sent my mother to get her nose pierced. Great experiences both times, so much so that she even gave one of her co-workers their business card because she wanted to get a few piercings done as well. Anyway, we arrived at 8:30p.m, and the shop closes at 10p.m. My partner wanted to get a crown tattoo, and upon arrival the two gentlemen that were working came outside and were talking amongst themselves. The taller of the two gentlemen greeted us and asked what we wanted to have done we both spoke, and my girlfriend informed him that she wanted a crown on her left forearm. The shorter gentleman with a ponytail stated that "We have time to do something simple and he'll show you the crowns that we have in our catalog". First of all, this isn't henna or something temporary, so telling someone that has to wear something permanently on their body for the rest of their life was a little off-putting but we went in anyway. The taller gentleman was flipping through the walls frame catalog but was having a little difficulty so he jokes with us and we were patient while he searched. The other guy came from outside and said "We're cash only". He was just incredibly rude, and I believe he may have been homophobic, because anytime I've been there alone and I'm feminine I never had any issues. But if you're open until 10 and we are there 1 hour and a half before you close and someone paid for a service it honestly doesn't matter how long it takes for you to fulfill the desire of the customer. PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND THEY WILL NEVER GET ANY OF MY BUSINESS AGAIN. read more

When I was about 15 I was planning on getting my first tattoo, so being excited I looked around a bit. Which eventually I was a little fed up because people were telling 1 thing about the places, an I go in to them an its not as bad, or not as good as they say. As I walked out of Kadillac's, I was actually impressed, immediately after getting my first tattoo, Why you ask? Well, I came in on a Sunday, it was around 5 o'clock, I was a walk-in, and I barely had an idea of what I wanted. That all was resolved in the matter of 2 hours. They ask you what you want, and they are extremely quick in getting you into a chair. I prefer Mike, but all of the 3 of them are good. The only downfall about his place is, you better bring money, because they do charge you up, but you do get what you pay for. I will admit all of my tattoos that i have got here, are small tattoos. I have 7, and 5 are from Kadillacs, 4 which the guy Mike did himself. Other then being a bit expensive, I love the place. Hey I think I am gonna go get a tattoo right now lol read more

Went into this shop feeling very optimistic - it being my first official tattoo and all. The first thing that rubbed me wrong was the pricing. I wanted a "Love" tattoo approximately 3in by 2in on my arm (Inspired by Philly's famous park). I did not opt for shading or any extravagant colors - I just wanted black outlined letters, and was quoted at 250$! That's insane (where I live anyway)! That wasn't even the bad part... I was still willing to pay, but apparently this shop doesn't have a printer and expected me to print it out on my own... So after calling NUMEROUS friends and 7-11's I could NOT find a printer that prints from a flash drive (I could have taken my laptop out but a 250$ tattoo is NOT worth a 700$ computer if something happens). I ended up calling another shop and immediately asked if they had a printer... they did. I'll be going there next week for this "elusive" tattoo. Thanks a lot Tattoo Douchey. read more
