I called around and got 4 different estimates - 3 estimates were over the phone, but Rainbow was the only company to come out in person and inspect what needed to be done. Fred was punctual, kind, knowledgeable. His price estimate was in line with the others I received, but most importantly, because he came out in person to inspect the hardwood planks themselves, he was able to warn me there was a risk that redoing the floors may lead to ruining what was already there. In the end, that risk combined with the cost for a colour change wasn't worth it for me - but if I had gone with anyone else, I might have had to tear out all of my floors and redo the whole thing.
