I've had Hargus service now for over a year. I pay in advance 99.9% of the time and right now I have a credit of $63 thats 3months pd for in advance. I called today to make sure I'm all good and the lady put me on hold for 10min then said I owed $102 for a bill from 2006, yes I said 2006. Seriously? Umm ??? 20 years ago??? WHAT?? Thats ridiculous im not paying some bogus charge. Someone in the background was very rude and obnoxious so i asked for a supervisor and guess what -- it was PAMELA EVANS, yelling that she is the owner, she yells, " I am the owner thank you very much!!! How bout I bring all your trash and dump it in your yard, im canceling your service now and keeping your $$$ credit" then she slammed the phone, hanging up. I called back, asked for proof of unpaid invoices, proof of checks, too. I asked them, where is proof? Why was I NOT sent to collections 20 YEARS AGO? Why didn't I get an unpaid invoice? Why was I able to start trash service with them over a year ago??? and how come even still today have I not received a phone call or anything from their office regarding this? This is totally unheard of 20yrs later wth? The so called owner is pathetic, unprofessional, rude and basically a joke. I have not kept receipts from 20years ago. Hargus disposal, Pamela Evans is basically stealing my credit/my payment in advance. Im sure they will be sending me forged back dated invoices from 2006. Attorney, here I come! my services started the 14th they haven't picked up once supposed to be every Friday.. call them they said they will pick up Monday call them Monday they said we will pick it up Tuesday.. call them Tuesday they open at 8am and called for two minutes and their lines are busy? it won't even go to voicemail it's just user busy and hangs up.. I have had service for many years and this year they have really gone down hill. They fail to empty all the trash. Nothing unusual - just household trash. I made some adjustments to how the trash was placed in the can. After the third time I started to call and let them know. The trash would be fully emptied for a couple of weeks and then trash would remain in the can. I took pictures and emailed. The trash was fully emptied for a couple of weeks. Yesterday trash remained in the can. Again I took a picture and emailed. I was told that it was probably "stuck" and not their fault. The trash is not "stuck". After reviewing other comments it appears that this is an ongoing issue. Very unhelpful and no longer recommend them. read more

I've been with this company for over 25 years and when the parents ran the company they did an excellent job, but since the kids have taken over they don't have good business practices. They usually pick up the trash between 3-7pm which is fine, but then they show up a 7am and half the street gets missed due to their messed up schedule and if they spill any trash on the street, that's where it stays. If you call their office there's a good chance you'll get a rude response. They should call mom & dad to help get their act together. read more

I live in Fort Mohave. Our garbage collector is great! They pick up the same time every week and put our receptacles back nice and tidy.

I do not reccomend this company. They will not dump all your trash. They do not dump any hard material because they said it messes up the inside of there trucks that are 100 yrs old. They also have weight limits. I use Republic Services witch is 15$ more every 2 months but they dont dig through your trash and select what they wanna throw away. Hargus is a unprofessional company and has a few unprofessional workers with no social skills to go along with it. read more

I have had Hargus for a bit over 4 years. I have never had a problem. Most recently, I was in the garage, door open, when they arrived to pick up my trash. The guys waved, emptied my trash can and actually delivered the empty can to me in the garage. To me, this is above and beyond. And all done with a smile. Another thing....recently I noticed someone had spray painted graffiti on my can. I called Hargus, the very next day they picked up the old can and delivered a fresh new one. See a picture of my, "new dumpster service", with HARGUS DISPOSAL, out of Mohave Valley, Arizona. You can see what they left after dumping yesterday. My dumpster was supposedly emptied yesterday morning, 7/22/200 and I know the dump truck was there because I woke when I heard him pull up and looked briefly out the window. About 1:30pm I went and loaded my truck up with more junk and boxes that I am trying to get rid of and this is what I found inside the dumpster, see the photo. I went inside and called HARGUS DISPOSAL and asked why I had 1&1/2 yard dumpster service if they were only going to empty 1/4 of a yard from it. The snotty older lady with attitude who answered said to me,"well, if the driver bangs the dumpster and it doesn't come out then something must be stuck." That was all she had to say. So I said I would be looking for a better service and hung up. Then I went back out to the dumpster and lifted up on the remaining trash. Nothing was stuck. It all lifted loosely. I guess the driver is getting too old to bang. So I guess after 4 solid years of service with this company, 95 gallon can service, and then switching to the more expensive dumpster service that you pay up front for, these people must be making a whole lot of money off of people to not even give a damn about their long time loyal customers. So I hope that people begin boycotting these greedy businesses that don't even give a damn about their bread and butter customers that keep them in business. I think I will shop around or just start dumping my own trash and saving the money. HARGUS DISPOSAL, I truly hope your business fails. They still have not offered to come back to dump the rest. They used to be good, have had them for many years, now I set trash out the night before or 5 am, sometimes they pick it up , sometimes they come the next day , quite often they just don't show up. When I call , I get what sounds like 'pat' excuses, I've even had them tell me it will be picked up tomorrow, but they don't . Do you like leaving your trash out for two or three days in the hopes that it might be picked up? read more

Second time in two months they have failed to dump my trash can. Last month I had a footing from a 4x4 post so I removed it and they sent a driver out to dump the can and not only did he dump the can, he picked up a pallet and the concrete footing that I had removed from the dumpster and put it back in the dumpster AND proceeded to dump it in the truck....WTH ? Then today they failed to dump my can because I am guessing to full of cardboard ? This has gotten old considering I see the neighbor put a mattress in their can a month ago and it was taken. We switched to Hargus many years ago after being unhappy with another company. They take everything, and we've put them to the test. They take everything we can pack in that garbage can! I noticed a few bad reviews, but I never had a negative experience when calling the office. They've always been friendly and helpful. Always! I would recommend Hargus. read more

A trashcan was supposed to be delivered today. The lady accidentally scheduled it for a different day. I had to reschedule my appointment out of town to be here for the trashcan that was supposed to be delivered today. They refused to deliver it later this afternoon because the guys were done for the day around 2pm when I called. I asked for a credit, and the lady i was speaking with got an attitude with me. She was the one who admitted to scheduling the delivery incorrectly. She said it will be delivered tomorrow and asked for us to leave a money order on our porch because i will not be home. We will be going elsewhere because they didn't want to rectify the situation. read more

Really unhelpful. We moved recently and had to get them in our area, we want to pay our bill but they don't allow online pay! We both work out of town and alot and especially within their office hours so we called about payment and were told to stand outside the morning of pickup with cash or money order .... that does not work with either of our schedules..... we've both called and been told the same thing but one day while speaking to a neighbor the neighbor tells us there's different stores a registered payment drop off sites... why couldn't the office tell us that the times we called to figure this out??? read more

I have had this service for 3 weeks now and my trash has yet to be picked up. I went to office to get a bigger trash bin (2 yard). I was told that my initial trash can must be empty for pickup/swap . The same full trash can has been sitting out since received without any pickup. I was told that I could put trash in a trash bag and it would be picked up. When calling today about pickup again, I was told that I could not leave trash bags out for pickup and it was of the discretion of drivers on whether they wanted to pick them up. There was also a surcharge of $2.00 per bag. Too much conflicting information. I was told one thing and then told that they never said that. I would quit this service if another was available. I am not happy with their service at all. I am a new customer who still has trash that needs picked up. I will say, however, that they are very cordial when speaking with them. Although empathy is noticed, no changes in service have occurred. Maybe today - or at least I am hoping so. read more

Wow, now I understand all the negative reviews. You might wonder what could be so difficult about trash collection. This company clearly does not value their customers, nor do they consider that they affect the lives of those that they service (or don't service depending on how you look at it). They clearly could not care less about those on the other side of the equation, and there does not seem to be a management structure where upper management works to provide customer service. There are many other choices, I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

this place is absolutely terrible!! we have been with them for several years, and have had MULTIPLE issues with this trash company. They don't pick up all your trash when you put it out, and make then they make up excuses. Were so tired of it. that happened probably 5 times. its totally unacceptable . lies and excuses. AND THEN TODAY WAS OUR LAST STRAW. We put our trash out to get picked up this morning, i was home all day. and when they showed up i thought "oh cool, their picking up the trash" so i looked outside. then as their leaving i noticed a huge amount of trash blowing across the road into the desert!!!!!!!! They dumped the trash all over the street and littered the entire lot across the street as well. i could not believe this had happened so i called hargus, they said they were not going to come pick it up. the lady on the phone had the worst most unprofessional attitude ever. i said if you guys do not pick up this trash i will write a bad review and get a new service, she said "good luck finding the website" !! and hung up!!!! these pictures are even after i picked up most of it. read more

Had they for years now at one house dumpster and the other trash can. Easy to use and gives a month free if u pay a year at a time.

The office staff is not helpful. When I called about proper bundling for a bush I cut down, I was told to put it all into trash bags. In the past, I've been allowed to bundle the branches with cord and it was picked up. Now I have to face the daunting task of getting large bags and cutting the branches even smaller. I'm too old for this. When I told her that, she said "I can't help you". read more
