I was called by the manager today, June 1, 2026. They will refund their inspection fee if I modify my review. They also referred me to another plumbing company. They are too busy to send a technician. They said the technician called but he wasn't able to reach my number. However, the manager had no trouble calling me? I was a Director of Operations before I retired. This is what is known as Damage Control! To the Manager: If Josh called me, even at a wrong number, the call would appear in his telephone call log, date and time. If there is no record of the call, he may be a dishonest employee. I called versatile plumbing and heating looking for someone to come out and provide an estimate for an entirely new heating system (boiler, baseboards, piping, all of it) in a residential home. Before even asking anything about the house or the job he instead asked how many other people I had looking at the job. When I said that I have had 2 other people look at the house and am looking to have 1 or two more estimates before making a decision he said that he was not interested in a job if more people were going to look at it. When I asked why he indicated that if there were more people looking at the job then I was just interested in comparing all of the estimates and choosing the cheapest one....Which is exactly true...because thats how business and estimates work. So apparently if you want the job to be high quality and competitively priced Versatile Heating and Plumbing is not interested in providing the work. I cannot say anything as to the quality of their work as he has not done any work on my home. But as a professional myself I would not trust any business that discourages getting multiple opinions and estimates. I imagine if I had gone ahead with Versatile a heating system would get installed but it most likely would be overpriced for the installed product. After one single conversation Mr. Patterson and Versatile Heating and Plumbing are definitely not worth my trust. I would suggest you call around...there are plenty of other plumbing and heating businesses out there willing to provide estimates and honest work.

Also dont be fooled by the response below. Like I said they are trying to make themselves look good and cover it up. They say they did there job by saying they diagnosed the issue and provided a solution to fix the issue. Well its not hard to diagnose an issue when it is clearly snapped off in front of you. The solution they offered, "sry we cant fix this, please call and schedule an appointment, we wont be able to come back until the end of july, or you can hire someone else to replace the whole T-set if you need water sooner." Pine state had my water back in 10 minutes! Needless to say they are very unprofessional and rude. Heres my story below. Extremely Disappointing Experience I had an emergency plumbing issue and called this company after my T-joint broke. They arrived and spent about 15 minutes attempting to fix it, then stepped outside to take a 20-minute phone call. When they returned, they said they needed a tool that had been left in another company van back at their office. They came back roughly 40 minutes later, only to tell me they didn't have the correct fitting. The next morning, they returned, spent about five more minutes on the issue, and then told me they couldn't complete the repair because they had another job to get to. I was told I could either schedule an appointment for a month out or find another company to do the work. When I called to express my concerns, the front desk staff refused to offer a partial refund and still charged me $265 for what amounted to almost no service. Shockingly, during the call, the front desk woman made a highly inappropriate and offensive remark related to my son's passing something she must have looked up online. This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I strongly recommend avoiding this company there are plenty of reliable and respectful local alternatives. Not only that but then they had the audacity to respond and assume and accuse me of using my sons death as a means to save money. Also telling someone who lost someone let alone a child that its been 4 years since your loss!!!! Really. What are you saying? To get over it. Honestly this company is under poor management. You guys told me the price and I agreed to it yes, I told you financially I was struggling, asked to see if you had any discounts, and you said no. Most of the time spent was them driving back and forth and on the phone. I asked for partial payment back, not a full refund but couldn't even get that, just the manager telling me she google searched my name and said my son died 4 years ago and its not her problem? All I said was I was going through financial problems and still recovering from the loss of my son, greif is not something you get over in 4 years! There is a clear tattoo on my arm that started the conversation with the techs. Stop lying and trying to cover up the fact that you messed up this time and someone is standing up for themselves. The water damage wasn't known until the furnace was pulled up as my house is on slab foundation. I paid the bill as I didn't want a ding on my credit report.
