I LOVE Marc and Joanna - both are great teachers and a lot of fun. Marc is a great teacher and really shows you the correct forms and challenges you. Joanna's classes are more fast paced and also a great workout. A couple of the other teachers were a bit too out there for me.. but all of the classes I went to we good. Prices are fair and on par with most yoga studios ($15 for a drop in, with deals on Month passes and 11 pass and I believe 7 class passes) The studio itself is quite clean and well maintained. They have lots of yoga props available to use. They have a nice patio available, and are supposed to be putting in a juice bar. I never saw this fresh fruit the other reviewer was talking about- but it sounds lovely! The website is also very well maintained which is a definite plus! (-) 1 star due to: - generally their latest classes start at 6, which with my new work schedule I can never make it :( Having lived in Boston I am a bit spoiled with having TONS of class options - so the schedule seems really limited to me, but overall its pretty good considering. - There is no shower -- which would be really nice to have - A few other little hiccups here and there with other small issues

Dominic, the friendly owner, took us 3 (total novices with 3 pretty distinctly differing ability levels) out, made us feel safe, gave us fantastic guidance, and taught us key skills that enabled us to have a great experience. This was summer 2020, mid-pandemic time, and we felt safe as far as protocols and were very grateful we could still rent the boards and enjoy a lesson. We took the 2-hr option and found it perfect for our novice needs. There was nothing I was looking for that I didn't find there and nothing I'd have changed about the experience. If you're looking to learn to stand-up paddleboard, I recommend a lesson with this group! Grateful!

However, I know I need yoga and had finally found an excellent studio in Central MA....and then moved to Gloucester. I tried another studio here and suffered from my usual yoga anxiety so thought I'd try Cape Ann Power Yoga. The name scared me a bit but the price was outstanding; $10 a class...no really, it's $10 a class. AND they have classes at 5:30 in the morning which is perfect for me. I've been three times and cannot recommend it highly enough. The instructors are welcoming, encouraging, and their cues are outstanding. It appears there are all levels in the class from folks like me to folks who are obviously very advanced in their skills. And these veterans, unlike accomplished yogi in some studios, are focused on their own practices, and waste no time judging others. I love it here; I actually like going to yoga class.
