Now on to my trainer Asad: have you ever woken up the morning after an intense workout and thought to yourself "my very existence is causing me pain right now" - but like in a really good way? Yeah that's me after every session with this guy. He kicks my butt in the best way possible. The great thing about him is that he makes working out fun as hell. There hasn't been a single session where we weren't cracking jokes and having a good time. But the BEST thing about him is that he really cares about your goals and he pushes you to be a better version of yourself. I once made the mistake of telling him that my program felt too easy. I have never regretted saying anything so much in my life, because the next day I came in and I was sweating buckets within the first 6 minutes. He's the guy you LOVE to hate. The one you can't wait to swear at under your breath as he's adding more weights to your trap bar, not to ruin your life (as you most likely will be thinking in that moment), but because he knows you can do better. The one that encourages you to push harder and be stronger. The one that makes you go for that last dreadful lunge even as your legs are collapsing under you, because he refuses to let you give up on yourself like that. Similar with other broken gym equipment, took way too long to fix . My 13 year old son also had a membership attached to my account as a family member and paid by me. But when I cancelled my membership it apparently didn't automatically cancelled his eventhough he is a child and not paying for it. Not only that, they changed his membership without the family discount automatically , no notification to me the account holder . The manager could not even record my complain instead gave me a head office number to call. So if you considering to join a gym, go to LA fitness across the road instead , much better facilities and customer service for half the price .

You will not get your money's worth. The trainers do your sessions like running a factory line. My trainer (young male Indian) just repeats "perfect" to whatever you did and does not have a set routine or program that you can take away. Communication with him was also impossible. I was really sick the day before the session and when I requested a rescheduling he said no as it would mess up his already aligned schedule. He also offered no availability in time as he did not want to make more than one trip to the centre. Also because my request wasn't made within 24 hours, he said I would have to either come in sick or miss the session that'll be charged. It was absurd how a PT trainer and an institution like YMCA will not accommodate and say you will lose a session for being sick cuz it wasn't notified in time. I only remember being frustrated and stressed throughout the experience.

There's a few aspects which give it an older 'worn' feeling as a result. The architecture is a little dated, though still not bad and allows for lots of natural light in many places. But seeing as visuals are not nearly as important with gyms as they are with food, it doesn't really have a bearing on the experience. In terms of a mid-range gym, this is right up there. They seemed to have quite a number of rooms, which were there for multi-purpose, ping-pong, cycle-fit, studios, full-sized basketball court, etc.... They even had a separate cardio station apart from what is also available in the main workout area - allowing more room for weights. The running track was in a slightly odd location as you almost go up stairs near the back entrance and you're effectively running on the roof - though it is covered. The pool is quite large with several 25m lanes and is separated from the other multipurpose pool area. It might sound a bit gross to say this, but it probably helps in the event there's 'foulings' by kids in the other pool which wouldn't affect the lane swim. They advertised that the place was recently renovated, it was was apparent in the main weight room area - as well as the plus change room. It's a dream if you're into free weights as they have 6 racks with proper stands. Those racks use bumper plates too so there's far less worry if you drop the bar - especially if you're into Olympic lifting.The area where the plates land is slightly padded too which prevents them from bouncing around. There were loads of free weights and other machines available. There was also a corner that had kettle bells, punching bag, and monkey bars. The plus change room was massive. Huge steam room which got super HOT, which is to my liking. They also a dry sauna and a large whirlpool. Everything looked quite clean and new, so I'm assuming it was part of the recent renovations. Certainly check this place out if you're in the area. Don't expect to be wowed upon first entry, but if you're looking for a great weight room and large change room with amenities with your gym experience, you'd do well to check it out.

For example, Gail Kim, the former WWE Women's Champion used to workout here few years back. I think they continue that tradition by sponsoring local athletes. About 20 feet, double rows of free weights with mirrors running all the way + barbell selection is good. Good bench press selection. Usually some gyms have the regular and incline only, so you need to get creative for the declined position, well this gym has 2! and about 5 regulars and 3 inclines + a plethora of adjustable benches. A good healthy selection for those who like to run, they have everything from tread mills to various step machines and ellipticals. One excellent thing about this gym is that people actually do come here to workout. In other words, there is minimal level of gym rats. What are gym rats you ask? It's those people who come to the gym to hang out and not actually work out. Good selection of stationary stations as well. Nicely spaced out so that everyone has plenty of room to workout. I think Fitness 365 really shines when it comes to classes. These are not your run of the mill classes folks! Their classes are taught by athletes. People who make their living my training their body to the peak level! I took their boxing class and no joke, it was taught by a real boxer. The dude was so fit, he had like 3% body fat, insane right? Ridiculously awesome class. The classes range from Zoomba, Yoga, Kickboxing, Boxing, MMA, and Spinning. Changing room is little old school in the mens', but you know what? there is definitely a certain charm to it's old schoolness. It's kept clean, well maintained and with communal shower area. Overall really great experience here, the staff is knowledgeble and very friendly. Trainers sometimes come by and give you tips which is great! The protein shake is actually not bad either... I went for the 6 months special at the time, pay upfront option. My special was around $240 for a 6 month membership.
