Within 24 hours, I had my report and could move forward with the sale. Plus, I have a document I am now using for maintenance purposes. I have had no surprises over the past 10 months and have been spared my past unpleasant experiences with buying a new house. They did a thorough and accurate job. I especially appreciated the interior inspection, as it came with advice that ended up saving me a lot of money on my planned kitchen and office renovations. They were very professional and affordable. My experience with them was in sharp contrast to my prior experience with two past home inspectors (one of whom missed a complete plumbing system breakdown that occurred within a week, and another that cost me a home sale by sending alarmist template language that scared the buyers, away even though the situations noted did not even apply to my property). I will be using Capital Home Inspections from now on. Plus they have a bunch of professional licenses between them for the major systems, which makes me think they know what they are doing. For my recent home, I discovered an AC vent completely blocked by a sheet/cover, resulting in no airflow to the guest closet. For another home inspected in 2020, I later discovered that the dryer vent pipe wasn't even connected to the dryer. These are basic issues that I believe should have been caught during a professional inspection. As first time home buyers, we weren't sure exactly what to expect during the home inspection process. And since our home is new construction, I wasn't even sure that we needed a home inspection. Kelly quickly proved the value of a home inspector within our first few minutes in the door! He recommended splash guards on our gutters, noticed a small drip leak on the outdoor hose faucet, and even eyed an uneven gutter that would collect water and breed mosquitoes over time. My husband and I were incredibly satisfied and impressed by Raleigh Inspection. Jonathan was thorough, efficient and trustworthy. We did a general inspection, radon test, and termite inspection. As first time home buyers, we valued his expertise on a 1980's home we are closing on, which presented some major issues he quickly assessed, all of which we completely overlooked despite walking through the property multiple times.
