No appointments are taken or required. It's located in a large retail space. I wouldn't say it's the coziest, or the most relaxing "spa" I've been to but for the price (which runs about $1 a minute, a little more for deep tissue) it's a bargain. The have some chairs out front for foot massages, and the special massage chairs you lean over for a back massage, but also private rooms which is what I prefer. Unforunately it is located next to the new arcade/amusement feature that replaced Sears so it's not relaxing. Better if you get a room as it's muffled out some, but still not the ideal setting. They will massage whatever you want them to, but this is NOT a happy ending kind of place. IT IS STRICTLY A MASSAGE. I've had a back massage, as well as a full body, and I will say I enjoyed the back massage better. That's my problem area and she really worked it good, completing the session with hot rocks, which was unexpected but now a must. When I had an all over body, the legs, feet, and arm portion was lame. She wrapped my limbs in a sheet and stroked on top of the sheet, so it wasn't really a massage. Actually when you rub up and down on the same spot over and over it becomes annoying. Both times I had a girl named Tina. The second time I did request her. I think she does a wonderful job on my back. I will say there is a few negatives other than the noise. One being that they are cash only. They say there's a problem with their machine but it's been like that both visits. Also when you're undressed and on the table in the room they do leave often - to grab hot towels, rocks, etc as those items are not in the room. They do leave the door open, so attention to privacy during those times is not considered. There was also a few times during both sessions that they yelled to each other between rooms in their native langague which kills the relaxation vibe. During my full body massage when she was working with me on my stomach she did go very low, like crack highway and tried to give my cheeks a rub. I quickly pulled up the sheet and she got the hint. Communication is sometimes challenging. Lastly make sure you tip and tip well. At least $10 for 30-40 minutes, $5 and you'll get stink eye. Google reviews actually mention them freaking out over what they considered to be inadequate tipping.

As I was researching hair salons in Lancaster that use some of the best organic hair color…read moreproducts, I came across Glamour Organic Salon and Spa as they use and carry the Australian-made O&M and the UK-based Organic Color Systems. (The other competitive organic product line on the market is Oway, which is used by The Green Room Organic Salon in both their downtown Lancaster and Mount Joy locations!) After finding Glamour salon's website, I emailed the salon to set up an appointment. The owner, Olivia King, was incredibly responsive and emailed me back right away to find a suitable date and time. I had the pleasure of meeting her in-person when I was waiting for my first appointment, and we had such a lovely conversation! I was scheduled with Ashley given her knowledge and experience with fashion colors. At the time, I had purple hair and wanted to refresh my color but also wanted to discuss gradually transitioning my hair back to its natural color. I appreciated coming in first for a consult before committing to a color. We decided to go for a burgundy color first, which would retain some of the purple but move towards a darker brown. Though the color didn't turn out quite as we thought, it was still really beautiful. I went back to Ashley, however, after a vacation in Costa Rica and chlorine from the swimming pools had made some of my old highlighted pieces a little too brassy and blonde. I decided to just go ahead and darken those strands to go back to my natural color, and I have no regrets! Ashley and I also just have a natural rapport and really meaningful conversations. This is especially important given that coloring your hair can take a few hours, and you've got a long time to spend with your stylist during said times! I've also come separately to get my hair cut by Miah, who I had learned was just added to the schedule recently after studying under Olivia. She was also a pleasure to speak to and really knowledgeable about the different hair products that I use. Given the chemical processes I've put my hair through, I've invested in premium products like Olaplex, K18, Oway, and more recently, Prose. Miah recommended that I go ahead and just use the K18 treatment after my cut given that it works much faster than the traditional Olaplex product, and she wasn't wrong! It was a great call on her part. I also appreciated that she knew how to cut and layer my hair, as it's naturally thick and straight. Sometimes stylists are afraid to thin it out, but it does need layers to give it shape and movement. Overall, I love this salon and would recommend others come here for organic coloring services or a cut!
