While we appreciate the efforts of the staff and recognize the challenges involved in providing care and support, we encountered ongoing difficulties with communication throughout our family member's stay. Communication with the assigned case manager was often limited, and requests for updates regarding our loved one's progress and well-being were not always acknowledged or addressed in a timely manner. As family members, we relied on these updates to remain informed and reassured. The lack of consistent communication frequently left us uncertain about his status and concerned for his overall well-being. In addition, maintaining direct contact with our family member proved challenging at times. Multiple attempts were made to obtain information and establish communication, but responses were often delayed or unavailable. This created unnecessary stress and uncertainty for those of us who were actively involved in supporting his care and recovery. We also received feedback from our family member, as well as observations shared by other residents, indicating that some interactions with case management staff could have benefited from greater patience, attentiveness, and responsiveness. While we understand that staff members manage significant responsibilities, respectful and compassionate communication plays a critical role in fostering trust and supporting residents effectively. Equally important is the partnership between a facility and a resident's family. Families are often the primary source of emotional support, advocacy, and continuity of care for their loved ones. Maintaining open communication and working collaboratively with family members helps ensure the best possible outcomes for residents and strengthens the support system that contributes to their success. Family involvement should be viewed as an essential component of the care process rather than an afterthought. These comments are offered respectfully and constructively, with the hope that they may assist in enhancing communication practices, strengthening family engagement, and improving the overall experience for both residents and their loved ones.

I'm going to be very frank with this review because Balance deserves it since what they did to me…read morewas incredibly wrong and heartless and I know they know that, any self-aware individual would. I worked at Balance for 7 months. I was a Mental Health Technician and enjoyed it for the most part. It was an easy job, I worked with clients who had an array of rare and common disorders and most importantly, it added to my resume. A client contracted Covid, they discharged and then 2 more clients caught it. During this time they still were mandating the technicians to come in and naturally, I refused knowing that COVID was actively present in the residential. Mind you, I live with someone who has cancer, so my responsibility was different and seeing I worked for therapists, I thought they would be understanding and empathetic, but I was sadly mistaken -- how naive of me. It is a business after all. Jenny Rogge, the Program Director, could have cared less because she didn't have to deal with it herself since the therapists have the option to do Telehealth and not physically be in the facility. I was terminated in conjunction to my "attendance", which was the only "legal" way for them to fire me. My attorney told me that if this would have happened a month or two ago, I would have been able to file a lawsuit, unfortunately timing did not match up due to the recent employer guideline changes from the CDC. Lucky them. Interestingly enough though, Balance has recently shut down due to not having enough workers... You reap what you sow. I write this review for anyone wanting to work here, be wary of these people and know what they did to a past employee. Photos attached are for your reference.
