Very cute say spa. I had my Brazillian wax with Kathy and she's fantastic! She's friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about different types of waxes. She worked with me until we found the wax that worked best for me. I love that she's a perfectionist and takes pride in her work. She won't let me leave until I'm 100% satisfied. The waxing room was clean and professionally decorated. I also love the bamboo decorated waiting lounge. I really like the new wax she just got in. I can't remember the name of it (it's a kind of European wax) but it hurts less, is more effective and I wasn't even red afterwards. Much better than the traditional waxes!! read more

It's amazing that you found the time to respond on social media, but didn't have the owner call as you stated. I never spoke with Kathy and you gave me an ultimatum to come back, or basically leave. I will definitely swear to that in court. Furthermore, I never stated that my friend wasn't feeling well, never, she was feeling just fine. I don't know who you're referring to, but much of your response is riddled with complete and Certified lies as it relates to my experience that I shared. Shame on you, shame on you, shame on you. What isn't a lie is that the room was extremely cold and I have proof of that!! I clearly stated "that I did not, could not relax or enjoy my massage because it was too cold". I paid for my service, because I am a woman of character. I don't run and hide. I believe in doing what's honorable and correct. I tipped the server because she was kind and tried to do her best to warm a very, very cold room and small kitchen area for lunch, because our hands and feet were freezing. When I stated that my time was very valuable to me and that I would rather not return, because my experience wasn't enjoyable, your posture and demeanor suddenly changed. I called again today to speak with the owner, in hopes of coming to a rational agreement, and also to inform you that I have become ill because of cold in my body. The amount of time that it took for you to write a response, could have been spent to reach out to the owner to remedy the situation. The front of the house where individuals checked in wasn't as cold. It was the room that we had service in and also the kitchen. The products that were used on our bodies, were also very cold. Every time a body part was exposed, it became very challenging for my body temperature to regulate, making it difficult to relax. My treatment had paused due to my nose that began to run, because of the coldness of the room. I specifically expressed that to you, and you said, "Im so sorry and I do apologize". To mention that no other customers had issues with the temperature, is a slap in the face as a Manager and shows a disrespect for our own experience. Your goal should not be base on 4 out of 6 customers that are satisfied, but, that every customer who spends their money is satisfied!! No threats were made from me whatsoever, however, I confirmed to you that I would definitely take to social media, and let everyone know about Harmony, because you stated "we are not returning your money and you can write whatever review you desire because the owner is away on pleasure and that's not what Kathy does". I purposely came back to speak with management in hopes of settling the issue. Your very own staff stated repeatedly to the both of us after our service, that the owner was having problems with the buildings heat. Lisa you have made your position very clear today, and I did get sick from the coldness in the spa. I left in worst condition than I came. As a cancer survivor and having second chance at health, is very important to me, even if it's not meaningful to you. My experience was less than subpar, and like going to a restaurant, it's the customer's decision if they desire to return. A professional owner negotiates a compromise with the customer, because they understand the value of customer service. The issue is not the change in service. I told the receptionist before my service started, that they could have even given less time, because I didn't desire to have my face touched, due to sensitivity. And, I'm so glad that I made that decision, because, that could have been bad as well. The fact and issue is that the room was extremely cold, and we couldn't experience relaxation, or enjoy the massage, and I became ill. We both vehemently stated that over and over to the young ladies, as well as the receptionist. Your response to our experience at Harmony, displays even more of a lack of empathy for me as a Cancer survivors and a lack of professionalism. The owner did not honor her word to call. This isn't about a package, it's about a heating system that we were told wasn't working properly. We both were told about the reason it was cold in the room after our service. A space heater needed to brought in for even the workers to be comfortable in giving the massage. Once again, Shame on you, shame on you, you for trying to turn the tables and using a tone bullying, because I shared my experience on social media, as you encouraged me to do so. It's all about how issues are resolved. The public didn't pay $550, I did. I took to social media, because I was encouraged to do so by you. When I asked you if I could please just speak with the owner to come to an understanding, once again, you stated that Kathy would call, and she hasn't. I will digress from attempting to be rational with you or Kathy and do what I need to do!! I had a great massage from Corey (with glasses) apparently there are/were 2. He took his time and let me know when he had to apply a little more pressure. He even made suggestions on how to endure the pain since I had quite a few knots. Having been a member at a previous privately owned establishment, I thought the price was a little high. I did use a groupon for my first visit, which made it more reasonable to me. I've received several promotional emails that I was too slow to take advantage of, but I do plan to go back and would highly recommend. read more

I called today and I asked for an apportionment, as soon as I said the word Groupon it all went down hill. Now there's a black out period for Groupons until after the 06/16. I've been trying to get an appointment here for three months already and every time I call or text it's always something. Last month it was because of mother's day and I had to wait after the 05/26. Now this black out until after 06/16. Not sure why they're on Groupon if there is always something going on and to top it all off my voucher expires the 06/14. I just feel sorry for my husband that wasted his money and I wasted mines because I gave my sister on for mother's day. Lesson Learn... read more

I have had many massages over the years and I have to say I have never been in so much pain after one. The massage therapist said he had a hard hand and in the beginning of the massage I asked if he could go with less pressure, it was still very hard pressure and I was visibly not relaxed or enjoying my massage mid way through I asked again if he could use less pressure and again it was as if he was taking all his frustrations out on my back. I had a restless night of trying to fall asleep due to my back muscles being so sore. I also had a facial today, which was terrible and felt very rushed. I waited in the room for 20 minutes before anyone came in. Then She just started rubbing things on my face without even talking with me first or looking at my skin. I had never had a facial here before but I know you need to ask if I have any face sensitivity or at least allergies but no right into what they call a "facial". She applied multiple scrubs to my face for an unknown reason, I know from facials in the past that scrubs when used incorrectly can be harmful for the facial skin but she didn't seem to know what she was doing. She didn't ask if I wanted steam and just placed the steam machine in my face for what seemed like forever. it was getting hard to breath and I felt like my face was burning off. She didn't even preform an extractions or ask if I wanted any, then out of no where she said "ok all done" and left, I looked at the clock and it hadn't even been an hour. And the worst part was it was my birthday and my mom planed a spa day for the both of us and she had never been and I was excited to show her my favorite spa. But it was a huge disappointment and I was so embarrassed for saying this was a wonderful spa. My mothers facial was rushed as well we started at the same time and she was done before I was, on top of it the woman doing her facial made a comment about her wrinkles and made her feel self conscious, which is so upsetting. I have been to harmony spa multiple times and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had anywhere. I will not return. I felt rushed and unwelcome and I'm just very disappointed read more

I give this salon "0" stars. I was going to book a facial through Groupon with Kathy, the owner, but she said she would give me the same price directly through her,so I booked with her for last Friday afternoon and came from N. Wilmington to Newark (20 mi. round trip) only to find that she gave my appointment to a walk-in when I was a few minutes late. So she said she would make it up to me by coming in on Sunday at her "other" location. Not only did I call the cell phone number she provided several times on Sunday to confirm the appointment, but I was there on time waiting. I was the only car in an abandoned parking lot and she never showed and never called. What she didn't know was that I knew this parking lot and the doctor's office inside. He does have a medispa, so I called there on Monday and found out that Kathy indeed works there part-time giving MASSAGES ONLY. What's more the phone number that she gave me was intentionally off by 3 digits. Then I looked more closely at her card. She seems to only be licensed for massage. The doctor's office promised to get to the bottom of it and get back to me, but of course they didn't. I'd stay away from all of them. If you go against my recommendation and decide to have a facial with this untrustworthy woman, you should at least ask to see her esthetician's license before you let her touch you. read more

I just had the worst experience at this spa. After reading good reviews, I decided to have my Brazilian and it was a bad idea. I have a regular spa I go to in Philadelphia, but was unable to go and was looking for a place closer to home. I called and they were able to see me on short notice, so that was cool. However, when I arrived, I notice a little disorganization but tried not to think much of it. When I was taken to the room for my wax, the room was tight, disorganized, and looks like it haven't been dusted in a while. I was even more concerned when the aesthetician gave me a dingy robe from under the sink and said that was all she had. I should've have ran out of there at that point, but I was trying to be optimistic. When she tried to use a numbing cream first, I was nervous and said , no to the cream, (Do people use numbing cream on their va-jay jay ) The aesthetician, Kathy had no technique in doing a wax and was all over the place. She said she had 15 years of experience, but this may have been her first Brazilian. She said should couldn't get all of the hair. In addition, she was so sloppy with the wax. The last straw was when she got done, there was red ink everywhere and we couldn't figure out why. Well apparently she had red ink from a pen that bursted on her hands earlier and I guess she didn't was her hands!! Guess what, I had red ink all on my Va-jay jay, underwear and hands. I was done!!! I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there!!! They gave me a 10.00 discount but it didn't matter. This place cleanliness and lack of organization is poor and they should not be doing something as personal a a Brazilian. I wouldn't send an animal there. read more

Our experience was mediocre. We waited almost 30 minutes after our wait time then our "hour long massage" was certainly shorter than an hour. We were not very impressed, especially compared to other local spas. Will most likely not be returning. read more

I purchased a coupon from Living Social for a 30 minute facial and 45 minute microderm abrasion. My service was completed in under an hour. Although I had an appointment, when I arrived I was not greeted by name or asked my name. I couldn't tell you the name of the woman who gave me my facial as she never introduced herself at any time. It was as a Saturday afternoon and she seemed to be the only one working and was finishing up another client. Perhaps that young lady was a regular client as she was given recommendations for her me care. In fact, the woman spoke to her more than she did me in my visit. At no time was I asked if I had any sensitivities or allergies, how I cared for my skin at home or what products I used. Nothing was explained as the facial continued. I was told that the redness on my face should go away in a few hours. I have had facials at other businesses and never had anything done to add to the redness of my complexion. All I can say is I would not be able to recommend this business to anyone and am glad I did not pay the quoted $108 value. read more
