Rentz Jr. DMD, and his staff. I have a huge fear of dentists and dental work which prevented me from getting necessary work done to my teeth for years. I finally had to relent after I broke a molar, and took my mother's advice to go see Dr. Rentz. His office staff was curteous and helpful. They provided me with price estimates, and answered all my questions. They've very prompt, and often you don't wait longer than 5 minutes. If you're an early arriver to appointments, like I am, they'll usually take you back as soon as you arrive. Dr. Rentz never made me feel about the state of my teeth, and took care to explain to me exactly what he was going to do to help me. He talked to me during the entire procedure and even scheduled a follow-appointment for me a week later to check on how I was healing. (The follow-up was at no cost .) My tooth was fixed, and all without a large hit to my wallet. I am so glad I had my dental work done at his office, and would return in the future without hesistation. If you're putting off a trip to the dentist due to anxiety, or budget constraints, stop right now and call the number to make an appointment. You will not be disappointed.

I've had minor cavities filled in the past which put me quite a state when I found out I would need some extensive work done. When all was done, I realized it really was not that bad. Worked on having that amount of money in my checking account to pay for the procedure. I got to the office early and had to sigh more paperwork. Shortly after my 11:00 AM appointment, I was called by the nurse to give her my check for the total amount of $4,000.00! I have never been asked for prepayment BEFORE a procedure! This was never explained to me prior to my appointment but I was now told, "It's procedure"! Why?? I was prepared to pay the full amount after my appointment had been completed. This was not acceptable to them. To me, it was totally one sided and not acceptable to me. It was a gut feeling that I chose not to ignore. I left the office. Totally waisted day!

Every staff member I interacted with was polite and seemed to genuinely care about my welfare. But what stood out to me the most about my visit was the honesty of both Dr. Simon and his assistant. I was scheduled to have two tests done to determine the viability of a tooth. After the first test, the assistant said it was pretty clear the tooth could not be saved and deferred running the second test, saving me more than $100. Dr. Simon confirmed the result and recommended I return to my general dentist for a tooth extraction rather than going through with a root canal in his office. They both could have run the second test, and I would've been none the wiser that it was unnecessary. The next time I receive a referral to an endodontist in Tallahassee, I won't hesitate to make the appointment with Dr. Simon.
