Despite its proximity to me, I had never really shopped at TJ's. I don't know why, maybe the long…read moretime thought that it was simply a drum shop... I don't know! After hearing of their good name in amp repairs, I took mine in to get fixed. After getting it back, the amp started acting up during the first show,l with the same problems as before, only worse. I reached out to the TJ's team who vowed to make it right. They took another look at it and had some ideas, but also felt like I may be throwing more money at it to still have problems we determined a new amp would probably be the best solution. They were kind enough to credit me the amount paid for the unsuccessful repairs, even though hey spent time and money to do the work, and got me equipped with an amp I absolutely love. Nobody is perfect, and my amp wouldn't have been in such bad shape had I taken better care of it. No, the repairs weren't successful but he only thing I really lost was one show without an amp, going direct, because of an unexpected fault. They went above and beyond to make up for that and I leave there better off. I'll most definitely be sending my business there way going forward.

Instead of offering a refund, he asked me to service the amp at home, advice that could have caused me to seriously electrocute myself. My local fender-certified tech was appalled by the amateur quality of his handiwork and refused to take the risk of repairing it because he could not guarantee that he could repair it safely. I like when my amp techs are honest, competent, and ethical. Be forewarned: this guy is none of those things. Go elsewhere.
