One of the check in women is a little no nonsense, straight to the point, almost cold. I do like…read morehow she makes it a speedy check in though. Dr Munoz is the best! He's so friendly and personable and tells you what he's doing and checking for as he does it. Most of the PA's there are also very helpful and I haven't had a bad experience with any of them.

*** This review is one star for the telephone system, not the doctors ***…read more I'm a regular patient here for many years. The telephone service system does this to you if you call near lunchtime: 1. It accepts your call and puts you in queue and tells you're customer number five or whatever. Then you're on hold (in my case today, for twenty minutes) with the same constant repeating message that they'll be right with you and that you're such an important patient. Then, after 20 minutes, it goes dead. 2. You call back after 12 PM, only to get a recording saying that they're closed for lunch and to call back after 1 PM. 3. In my opinion, that is not customer-oriented. People have important reasons to be calling a doctor's office. The whole front desk does not need to close down for an hour to eat lunch. Front Desk people can stagger lunches so that someone is always available to take a call. Person A takes lunch from 11:30 to 12:30. Person B covers phone from 12 PM to 12:30 and then takes lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 and Person A covers phone from 12:30 PM to 1 PM. Easy as that. Why have both of them go to lunch at the same time? 4. The telephone system should tell people that they are not continuing to hold as it's now 12 PM and the office is at lunch if they are going to continue this inane practice. 5. Although the doctors here are very good - nothing against them -- I will not be recommending this practice for its outdated and inept telephone system.

I am a Veteran and chose Fredericksburg Primary Care Clinic through the Community Care service…read more All Veterans, PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! Instead, choose a modern, professional, full-service doctor practice like Mary Washington Hospital Primary Care 540-741-9300 12101 Carol Lane STE 101 Fredericksburg VA 22407. The difference is Night and Day!! MW has modern technology and facilities, MW Doctors are continually being trained in the latest medical treatments and technologies. They offer Veterans way more modern diagnostics with modernized treatments. of interest to Veterans, MW has perfected the VA Community Care Optum processes. Because they are modern they offer online check-in, and use the My Chart app, which makes life SO MUCH EASIER!! No comparison on the level of Veteran care between the two!!! Fredericksburg Primary Care is a 1960s practice with no modernization that does not even staff enough people to answer phone calls. So, if you need to reschedule an appointment, you must physically drive to the office and walk in to do so. MW has an app for that and for all medical interactions. Fredericksburg Primary Care is an antiquated doctors' practice in a run-down old facility that should not even be cleared for a medical practice. Dog kennels are more modern. I have witnessed the hard-working, understaffed front office employees being treated horribly by the lead office administrator and the nurse practitioner, Sandra. The doctor's office is cramped, at least 50 years old, and basic. The administrative area and reception mingle, so one can see how old and broken down the equipment is. Think about how much money that doctor makes and still has broken-down old office equipment. His priorities are very clear, and they are not his facility, staff, or Veterans. They do not organize or plan for daily medical support services, especially the VA's administrative procedures, although they take on VA patients and get paid well for doing so. They also do not answer their phones because, as I quote, the office manager's response: "They ring so much, and we just do not have time to answer them." Because they do not have administrative processes for interacting with VA's Community Care Optum and do not answer their phones, every lab and x-ray consult requires multiple physical visits to request re-faxing the Request for Service forms. The RFS must be refaxed so many times because the untrained staff does not fill out the form correctly, and it is hit and miss if they use the correct fax number. In addition, they do not understand how to bill Optum for visits, so the Vet receives the bill every time. That forces the Vet to spend time on the phone calling Optum so they can pay the bill. This antiquated, disorganized practice should not be allowed in the Community Care network, and I am working hard to remove them.

Best Internal Medicine doctor in the area, in my opinion. Super smart and thorough. A lot of…read moredoctors and nurses I know go to him because he's so good He recommended getting a calcium score CT, which was out of pocket, not covered by insurance. This screening test found cancer early before I had symptoms. For this, I'm grateful.
