Since the best doctor this practice has (Dr. Nancy Wang), will be leaving the end of September…read more2017, so will I. Dr. Wang is a compassionate doctor that actually cares for her patients and ensures they receive the best possible care. She's very thorough in what she does and if there's a medical issue she can't handle, she directs you to the one who can. She makes sure I follow-up with all of my other physicians and get appropriate tests as needed. No better family physician anywhere. I was very disappointed in hearing of her leaving and will follow her wherever she goes. Commonwealth, you are losing a fantastic doctor. Sad day for you. Five stars for Dr. Wang and her nurse, Robin. Ruth Banks

The care and compassion for patients left once nurse practitioner Julie left. I big shame. They need to close down and start over again. (UPDATE:) I received a certified letter in the mail from the office manager. She stated that they were withdrawing further care and treatment effective immediately, due to my negative review. They also stated that I am expected to pay my balance within 30 days or they will send it to collections because they are removing my payment plan. Wow, this is completely laughable. Do yourself a favor and find a real practice that will show you care and concern. Not one that will refuse you service because of an opinion. Lucky for me I am relatively healthy, but I would hate to see someone with advanced medical problems get a letter like this. There are many kind, compassionate doctors out there. This practice is beyond help.

*** This review is one star for the telephone system, not the doctors ***…read more I'm a regular patient here for many years. The telephone service system does this to you if you call near lunchtime: 1. It accepts your call and puts you in queue and tells you're customer number five or whatever. Then you're on hold (in my case today, for twenty minutes) with the same constant repeating message that they'll be right with you and that you're such an important patient. Then, after 20 minutes, it goes dead. 2. You call back after 12 PM, only to get a recording saying that they're closed for lunch and to call back after 1 PM. 3. In my opinion, that is not customer-oriented. People have important reasons to be calling a doctor's office. The whole front desk does not need to close down for an hour to eat lunch. Front Desk people can stagger lunches so that someone is always available to take a call. Person A takes lunch from 11:30 to 12:30. Person B covers phone from 12 PM to 12:30 and then takes lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 and Person A covers phone from 12:30 PM to 1 PM. Easy as that. Why have both of them go to lunch at the same time? 4. The telephone system should tell people that they are not continuing to hold as it's now 12 PM and the office is at lunch if they are going to continue this inane practice. 5. Although the doctors here are very good - nothing against them -- I will not be recommending this practice for its outdated and inept telephone system.

Dr Shor's dedicated, thorough, brilliant, up-to-date, compassionate, possesses both impressive decades of experience in treatment and research along with the finest skill set of ANY MD I have ever worked with .... EVERYTHING anyone would hope for in a physician but hardly ever finds. Frankly - without my health, I enjoy nothing. Therefore I don't mind paying for the care I need and deserve.

But nobody, not even the good ones, can touch the level of care that Shor provides. He is off-the-charts smart, and he's dedicated to highly individualized care. He is open-minded but conservative, and his instincts are to be relied on without hesitation. He is also an exceptionally kind and decent man. When my daughter was quite ill and running low on options, Shor stepped in and saved the day. Since then, he's provided her with first-rate care as her general practitioner. Don't really know how to put it without sounding over-the-top and silly, but please take my word: He is simply the best there is.

We have several members of our family with very specific health needs and Dr. Carl and his staff keep us up to date so we don't have to remember all of the details! They take care of it for you. Making appointments is as easy as can be. Prescription refills are always checked and evaluated and dispensed appropriately. Cathy is the lead nurse and she is always super organized and extremely helpful and communicative! Colleen is such a sweet and welcoming member of WellcomeMD. I always love seeing her face!:) Heidi is fabulous on the phone and great with communications. She gets the job done! But when it comes to your health, your relationship with your doctor, it's an intimate dynamic because it requires clarity and trust on the part of the doctor and patient. Dr. Carl is so relaxed that he puts his patients at ease immediately. He is thorough and goes through all of your blood panels with you one-on-one and makes excellent suggestions and also is complimentary if he feels that you are doing well. He will prescribe supplementation only if it is reflected as needed in your bloodwork. Personally, my blood pressure zooms up every time I go to the doctor. But with Dr. Carl, he brings it back to normal and puts me at ease. Obviously, my entire family and I are fans of WellcomeMD. I recommend Dr. Carl and Dr. Colfer to everyone I know! As an aside, we drive 1.5 hours each way, just to be a part of their practice. They are THAT good.
