I usually order a deli sub about every other week via the Harris teeter app. I prefer the app, since it is hard to hear when ordering at the deli counter. Also allows precise ordering. Typically I have no trouble other than the sub not being ready when u get there. This time I ordered at 11:15. Email at 11:30 when it was ready and I got back to the office with it at 11:50. It was a soggy mess. Ordered tuna, not toasted with all the veggies and no dressing. I avoid the dressings since that can tend to make the bun soggy. This sub looked like it was made the day before yesterday. When I pulled it out of the bag, it had soaked through all the papers and dripped on my desk. A lot of vegetables were not inside the bun, but between the papers. As I unwrapped, the innermost paper disintegrated and I had to pick pieces off the bun. Lunch was half over so I had no choice but to dig in. As always, the taste was pretty good. Veggies still crisp. But the bun was a a wet cold nasty bit. Ate the insides with a fork and tossed the bun. Not sure how this happened within 45 minutes. read more

There is a fine line when you order an Italian sub and has tuna in it. Quite disgusting and made my husband vomit. I also ordered a tuna and had an excessive amount of mayo and the lettuce and tomato looked stale. I had do to throw out both. When making subs, especially fish, you have to change your gloves and not have the same utensil to serve. There was definitely a cross contamination there. read more

Huge supermarket; very pleasant interior with attractive separate decors for breads, salads, alcohol, etc. etc. Immense selection, very well organized. All of the staff I have encountered in about 30 stops go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. For someone used to Manhattan NYC cramped, worn out supermarkets with inconsistent selection and moody staff, this is a culture shock. The one drawback is the self-checkout, there are plenty of machines but checkout would go quicker if the machines were less inclined to pause for "help is on the way" for no good reason. There is a pharmacy which is impeccably clean, well stocked with most pharmacy merchandise categories, and with very pleasant staff. read more

I shop at the Catawba Ave, Cornelius NC fequently - Customer service lady was very rude today 2/25 5:30 PM. Multiple packages of blueberries were located in bin with strawberries advertising 3 for $10. They rung up $10.99 with $3 off. When I took the receipt to the customer service location, a lady checked and confirmed the ring up price and when I told her the price I saw was 3 for 10, she curtly told me strawberries only. I told her there multiple BB containers and she said other customers put them there. Bottom line she was very rude in our discussion, never accepted anccountablity and never apologized. However, a teenager who called for her assistance while processing my request did apologize. read more

Stopped here after my son's basketball game (win in double overtime) for a Red Bull. The place is immaculately clean, and the the service is friendly, but the lines were long, and self-checkout was backed up because of a Question Person and a refill of receipt paper. After finally getting my Red Bull, I decided a quick stop in the restroom would be nice, but everything was occupied. I mean, who the hell uses the restroom in a supermarket? Is this a thing? I understand I was going to use the restroom, but I'm not one of those Supermarket Bathroom people. Anyway, it looks like the shelves are in order, the service is good, and there's a lot of food here and stuff. But if you have to pee, I recommend you do it behind the building. read more

A little fancy for everyday items but if you gotta have it they've usually got it so this is my go to place for mayo. My lovely bride is very particular about her mayo, says the sunflower oil stuff tastes better and is way more healthier than the 'traditional' oils and the fewer GMOs in the house the better. Nice selection of produce too, variety is the very fruit of life (and vegetables too.) Usually have the first and last cherries of the season. Conveniently on the way home, right turns in and out. read more

First off HARRY THE DRAGON looks so phenomenal and I have to say I live for the themed outfits. He stays strapped for every season and never misses. I commend the employees that put effort into his fire fits please never stop. The back to school promo goes so hard I almost bought a crayon set just because he was serving teacher core. Stopped by yesterday snow crab legs were on sale but there were many in the case . I asked if there were more in the back they said no I voiced that I didn't want that many as were already packed in a bag . Being a single person and buying those over 3 pounds was a bit much . I thought they could have offered to empty bag and make a smaller amount this was never done . I used to work in a seafood department we always did whatever we could to get the customer what they wanted or needed . I don't think this was even a thought in their mind . Newest HT in Cornelius and growing This is the newest Harris Teeter in Cornelius and opened probably about 3 years ago in the Antiquity neighborhood. It's not my regular Harris Teeter because the Jetton Village ssore is a lot closer. I know that there is suppose to be the pretty much the same items in each store but on many occasions, the Jetton Village Store will sell out of an item way before this one does. While the Jetton Store is much closer than this one, we drive by it several time a week. going to Church in Davidson or hair stylist etc so not really that far away. Store is newer than the Jetton Village Store but some age is beginning to show on the older one, particular in the grout in the restrooms. This one is still new enough to have a new fresh feel to it. Generally well stocked as I've pointed out and the staff is very helpful and willing to serve. The Store, like the one on Jetton offers a Deli, a Pizza Station, good hot bars and make fresh items that you can pick up and drive home and still have a hot meal. This is a good store and you can't find it at the larger Jetton Store at the Peninsula. give this store a call and ask them to check. read more

This first time I ordered a sandwich from the deli and it had a NUTRITION LABEL inside of it, I brushed it off because mistakes happen. So now when I picked up my wrap and there was a hair and what looked like metal shavings of some kind on it, I feel the need to post this. Omg this store is awesome! The fruits and vegetables section is huge and they have a larger variety and amounts. I've been in this section for 10 minutes and I don't want to leave! This Harris Teeter offers a salad bar, pizza station, Starbucks? Pharmacy, a great meat market section along with a huge beer and wine section. Everyone that works there is rude. They don't open the doors for like 30 minutes after they are suppose to. When there was a mask mandate half of the staff didn't even wear masks. I'm guessing it's just a result of lazy store management. I love harris teeter but this store is an embarrassment to the brand. This store is a last resort don't shop here. read more

Worst customer service. Especially at the CUSTOMER SERVICE counter. Proceeded to get a gift card 20 minutes before close and the woman was helping a man in front of me and while counting out his money she asks me what I needed. First of all, finish what you're doing with the person you're helping. Then she tells me in the middle of my response, come back in the morning we're closed up here. The store was open for more than 2 more hours and customer service which a man that works there claimed it closes at 10, she still had plenty of time to help with my simple request before she was suppose to close. Employees are usually huffing and puffing if they realize they need to help you. Pharmacy was great last time I used them but this time the tech was very rude. It's typically a nice clean store. Seems well stocked. Prices are average for a grocery store. Some bargains... Some higher priced items... You need to know your prices. The worst things about Harris Teeter are their service and checkouts. Both are subpar. Not on the same level as someone like Wegmans. read more

This store is convenient and clean. Unfortunately some of the kids who run the cash registers have not been taught how to treat customers. I was there yesterday and the cashier did not speak to me when greeted or say thank you when taking my money. I got into line in a good mood and was angry after being checked out. Those are very basic communication skills. I've also had several instances where teenage boys actually appear to be resentful that they are having to check you out. I actually make an effort to check out with a human and stand in line so that cashiers have a job! read more

Today at Harris Teeter I was looking for a sale item and asked for assistance. Tim said "we are out but will substitute for the sale price...just tell the cashier". I said are you sure he said it's our policy. The cashier Daniel proceeded to tell me "we cannot do that and was very rude and embarrassed me".
