Easy in and easy out. There is a "classic" convenience store inside but I did not venture to explore it today. [Review 13191 overall, 508 of 2020.]

I stopped at this Amoco in Mount Holly today to purchase gas and a few items inside the store…read more After paying for more than $40 in fuel and returning to the pump, I noticed a screw inserted into the plastic housing near the nozzle lever that appeared to prevent it from fully closing and sealing. Given recent reports and warnings about fuel pump tampering and fuel theft schemes, the issue immediately raised concerns. Rather than ignore it, I went inside and politely informed the cashier. Instead of taking the concern seriously, I was told it was caused by me removing the nozzle too early, which was not accurate because the nozzle was still in my vehicle. I was then told that concerns about fuel theft were "just a TikTok trend." The conversation became even more frustrating when the cashier suggested that perhaps my gas tank was simply full. At that point, I had only pumped approximately $11 worth of fuel into my vehicle. I explained that unless I was driving a bicycle, it was highly unlikely that my tank was full after only $11 in gas. Rather than addressing the concern, it felt like excuses were being made to dismiss it. My issue is not whether the pump was actually being used for a scam; it's the dismissive response from staff when a legitimate customer raised a reasonable concern about the condition of the pump. A simple acknowledgment and a promise to have someone inspect it would have gone a long way. Before leaving, I took photos and made sure the pump was properly secured. I would encourage other customers to pay attention to the condition of the pumps before and after fueling. Customer concerns should be taken seriously, especially when they involve equipment that directly affects the product being purchased. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed with the level of customer service and professionalism shown.
