If you are heading north and exiting at Tyvola to access this station, there's an ugly merge and you will need to cross two lanes to make the left. Inside, it's a decent convenience store with snacks and coffee and other drinks. They do sell beer here. Gas station pumps are well covered and there are 8 or 10 of them. Prices are competitive but if you are heading south and can hold on another ten miles, you'll get cheaper fuel at Carowinds due to the lower taxes in South Carolina. I was driving by and saw the 7-Eleven, so I stopped to gas up. I then decided to go in to grab an…read moreall-beef hot dog and a Slurpee. The first thing I noticed was that I wasn't greeted by the young man who was at the cash register. That's a major pet peeve of mine. The second thing I noticed when I went to where the Slurpee machines are to get one was how filthy that place is. I thought about just leaving and not purchasing anything as a result of it. I fixed my Slurpee and proceeded to where the quarter-pounder hot dog station was. The third thing I noticed was that there were no hot dogs. That was unusual to me, as it was slightly after 11 AM. The fixings station was also filthy. I'm not certain why the store was nasty. If the young man at the cash register would put his cell phone down and clean up a little bit, that might help. I paid for my Slurpee and filled up on gas. I will never return to that location again.
