First time ordering pick up, and definately my last. My order sat outside per associate for "over 15 minutes". Order contained frozen and several perishable items. She proceeded to tell me she would reshop it.... I watched her serve 4 other cars while I sat for over an hour. She did apologize and said she would refund the order... did that happen.... I'll wait.... not doing a pick up ever again. Update: Per Tyson McKee their not going to uphold what I was told. Sorry service and poor management. I guess $50 surpasses repeat business. Stacie, the pharmacy manager is incredibly rude. Rather than coming down to greet me at the pick up window, she asked questions of me from the computer in the middle of the work area. When she could not hear me instead of walking down, she just repeated the question forcing me to yell my personal information to her. She answered the phone while I was there and in a clipped tone told the person to hold and placed them on hold without even seeing if they were able to hold. She said she is by herself on Saturdays and Sundays. Perhaps she does not have the personality or the skills to manage the pharmacy independently. It was only 10:00in the morning. Can't imagine what her attitude is like as the day progresses. read more

This is one of the nicest Harris Teeters I've been in. It seems no matter what I'm looking for they will have it in stock - although at a price. I've found everything from lactose free sour cream and ice cream to fondant here. The store is always clean and the employees are friendly and helpful. They will always offer help out to your car which is hit or miss elsewhere. They also offer a full pharmacy and you can get your flu shots there for free. Finally, this Harris teeters has a Starbucks inside so you can get your caffeine fix on the way in - or on the way out - and their service is just as good as the regular Starbucks. This is one stop shopping at its best. Highly recommend. read more

The staff are totally unprofessional! If you order pizza the employee is incapable to taking the order correctly. Instead she lies and claims another customer came in and picked up 3 pizzas same as you called in. This has happened 5-6 times in the past 6 months. My friend, who is an amazing person, went to to the store to buy beer. He inspected the beer for quality and it turns out the beer was two years old!!The stock manager really needs to get better quality control. My friend consumes 12 to 24 beers nightly and this could have made him sick. Thank goodness he caught the outdated product. But the place did have very convenient parking. Harris teeter rectified the situation. So i am changing the rating fro m 2Stars to 4Stars. Excellent customer service. read more

Nice brand new Harris Teeter finally opened. It took forever. Friendly staff and everything looks new and fresh inside. The are doing tastings today in the deli section. Cheese, meats, breads and more...all tasty. Also they have grand opening 10% off...not sure how long that will last for though. read more

DO NOT use online grocery shopping at this Harris Teeter location. They are terrible! I have used them for the past 5 years and I am officially done. They frequently forget several bags from my order when I go to pick-up. Then I have to return to the store the same day or the next day to get them. Now that they switched to their new online system, there is literally no way for you to communicate with your shopper in real time. After shopping your order, your shopper use to call you to go over substitutions and out of stocks. You could then talk to them over the phone to make changes if needed. Now if they make a substitution or if something is out of stock, you get a text message about it. But there is no way for you to pick a different substitution or if something is out of stock, to suggest something else. For example, I ordered granola bars. The flavor I picked was out of stock, so the shopper didn't make a substitution. I would have accepted a different flavor, but there was no way for her to ask me this or for me to tell her this after she didn't see the flavor I wanted. When I called the store and told them to get me two boxes of any flavor, they said that they don't do add-ons and I would have to place another order for a different day just for the granola bars. They need to go back to calling shoppers or create a chat feature with your shopper like Instacart. By using this Harris Teeter, I end up not getting several things I need, then I end up having to go into the grocery store anyway to look for things. This defeats the purpose of online grocery shopping and pick-up. I will be looking into other options in our area and I suggest you do the same. read more

I rarely shopped here before the pandemic. Wegman's is nearby and is an extraordinary place to shop. I have used online ordering and pickup at Harris Teeter almost weekly since March. It is a terrific service. They don't jack up the prices and "over 60" shoppers get a promo code to waive the (very reasonable) $4.95 fee. I think their shoppers are better judges of produce than I am. They call after the order is shopped and will offer substitutions if something is out of stock. Service at the drive up is very quick and friendly. I can't praise the grocery pick up enough. The store is well stocked, clean and usually has advertised, sale items. It is definitely not the cheapest place to shop. If I want best prices I'd join that mosh pit at Walmart. I find it difficult to find things in the store itself. A better directory either overhead or online would be great. Seafood personnel are very helpful. I always have to wait in line to get checked out. I hate self checkout. Overall, it's a very good grocery store. read more

I'm going to be flat out honest, this Harris teeter needs to change multiple things within their seafood department. This is the second occurrence in which my family and I have purchased shrimp that smells like literal ammonia. It stunk up our house the second we opened the bag up, both times. Having to go out there in rush hour, only to come back with inedible shrimp that could give me or a loved one a serious sickness, is a terrible waste of time and not the way to run a food department. I do like having a supermarket walking distance to the house. Having that said, HT is not the cheapest but you must shop their sales!!! It is very clean and they have everything!!!! they have a section by their produce with " clerance produce" you must check out. An example bag of 6 apples $2.00! We loved this HT when they came to the neighborhood and found it easy to get hooked into with being right down the street. It was always clean and everyone is and has always been so friendly. They get 5 stars from me for their staff (friendliness) and 5++ stars for the Starbucks Baristas (shout to Narissa). I met her at the HT off 15 about 8 years ago and was so happy when this store opened that she came here. She makes so many people smile - so many customers love her! Also to Stacy in the Pharmacy and her staff - always so helpful. Anyway I feel that over the last 2 years the cleanliness of this Harris Teeter has declined a bit. So many flies at times in the coffee bar area, the hightop tables are wobbly and/or broken and tables not wiped clean. Maybe since I was last there it's been corrected but we just felt disgusted. Note, this was not a one time notice or experience - we would visit several times a week and see and experience this each time we would sit to enjoy coffee, read clip coupons before shopping. We don't visit near as often anymore. I do miss it and will certainly revisit my review should I feel different. The bathrooms (ladies at least) needs more attention. I feel it has always had a bad smell, never a clean smell in there, when used. The wipes at the front entrance for carts are also mostly empty containers. Maybe this is due to the change of management over the years the things we've noticed but sometimes all it takes is a view from the outside "new eyes" to point out some flaws and rooms for improvement. I am not meaning to chit on them just post my reviews where "I" feel is needed to address and hopefully will bring some light to areas for the neighborhood store. Not a bad selection. Everyone is friendly but the cashiers are extremely slow... and not usually enuogh during peak hours.

First off! Kudos to HT for the Vetran parking in the front of the store. Is everyone parking there a vet? Probably not but I love it that they have it. Store always has what you need, never out of anything. Lines are normally quick. Management is always great. Staff is super courteous at all times. Pricing is better than wegmans. Location is bomb too. Located right smack in the neighborhood. Beer aisle near the front door. Balloons and flowers near the front. I love HT read more

Several issues with this particular store. Staff that work the food section are never present. Cashiers are non social, and slow. They don't fully disclose allergen alerts at the entrance to the store so be careful what you do while inside. read more

Really great store to shop. Yes, it's a little more expensive than Giant but the minor difference is worth it for the fresh produce and great service. I sometimes go during odd hours and see the staff take out all the old products that don't sell off the shelves and restock with a new batch. read more

Specifically related to the pharmacy and the pharmacist who was on duty today. She cancelled a Covid vaccine appointment stating that my son was not eligible. Every confirmation email link states that he is indeed eligible. She will not honor the appointment stating that she doesn't care what a website or email says - it's cancelled. I understand that it is fast moving guidance and guidelines but when an appt is scheduled and clearly is allowed by the most current guidelines, canceling it is unacceptable. Laughing at me for saying that I think you have invalid information is even more unacceptable. read more

First time in a Harris Teeter. They carry Boars Head cold cuts. I have always preferred them. They cost more but in this case you get what you pay for. Canned Plum Tomatoes were buy 2 and get 3 free so I stocked up on them. This is not the cheapest grocery store so tight budgets might not to well here. We went just to see what the store was like. The young lady that checked us out was very helpful and informative. I would go back when in the area. It's a 75 mile drive for me so it will never be my go to store. read more

Have been using their Express pickup service for over 2 years. Prices can't be beat, especially when getting their bogo or vic card specials. I've read these posted reviews. I am amazed at some of the responses. First off, there is always someone around to help you and they are always very nice and helpful. As for checking out, never has anyone been too slow, and I am always in a rush, they always speak to you and even respond to small talk. When I shop at the deli, they are always courteous and helpful. When I go for pizza, not only is it delicious, they are huge. I find everything I need and if I can't, as I said above, someone is ready too help you. I've never had a problem with bad food so that comment surprises me. They have spices set up several ways. They have spices for Italian food with Italian food products. They also have these same spices located with all other spies together. The same with Mexican and Chinese foods. They try their best to make shopping easier. Why am I writing this? Because people try to do their best and not many people want to see this. Whether they had a bad day, don't feel good whatever.
