Harris Teeter Nexton Had to do a quick grocery shop and was in need of a stop. The room was private with a vacant/occupied type of lock. You could tell they try to upkeep it fairly regularly. Would use again. For our full review please visit: holycitytoilets.blogspot.com

I stopped in Harris Teeter at Nexton when I was in the area for a party/event. This location is the Harris Teeter brand we've come to know and love, plus so much more. This is the first Harris Teeter I've seen with a beer/wine/mimosa area inside. If happy hour at the grocery store is your thing, they have plenty of deals for you, and if you prefer to imbibe at home, the beer and wine section is enormous. The gas area has many pumps and short lines. Fuel points deals mean you can save big time on gas if you do a lot of shopping at Harris Teeter, and I recommend it. The parking lot is spacious and on the day I went, it was full of golf carts.

The store is conveniently located within the Nexton area which makes it a great place to stop after dining or running errands within Nexton. The store is nice overall, it has a Starbucks, Pizza station, Wine bar area, Salad bar, Asian food bar area ect. The location is very convenient but my issue is the long wait time to check out or even do self checkout. Honestly, every area of the store seems understaffed. I tried to order Starbucks but eventually left without ordering after a long wait and no one taking the time to say "We'll be right with you". I am glad the store is opened, the on site gas station is very convenient but the slow checkout and sometimes high prices on certain items can be frustrating.

So happy to have a HT closer to home! It's clean and feels much more spacious than other locations. They have a large wine bar with wines on tap, beer, cider, etc. plenty of seating to have a meal or a drink. Starbucks!! Need I say more? Hot bar was very good as well! Although, the green beans on the bar had no flavor and the salmon was pretty salty, but the orange chicken was very good! Fried chicken and okra were crispy. The gas station is nice, they have Sani-Grabbers -- gloves to wear if you don't like touching the gas tank. Great option to have at the pump. You have the option to choose which promotion you'd like to take advantage of when using your Vic card. I saved 20¢/gal, I believe that is a May promo. Regular discount you'll save 3¢/gal. Pay at the pump or at the 24hr window.

I'm craving Banana Pudding, but I only see Mini Banana Cream Pie! I have been standing here for a few minutes because the HT is excitedly buzzing. Sebastian arrived and helped me find the sold-out Banana Pudding. He recommended the Mini Cream Banana Cream Pie. This HT is brand new, and I couldn't be more excited to have a Harris Teeter close to my home finally. The store is fresh and inviting. As you walk in, there is the smell of fresh produce and baked goods. This HT has a Starbucks, Beer and Wine bar, and fresh pizza. I will give grace to the young woman in Bakery and Starbucks who had too much attitude to be anywhere near customer service. Ethan was also professional and informed me to stand behind the shopping cart so no one would cut in front of me.

No red carpet for imaginary royalty, everyone treated the same - that is, find what you want, take it to the counter, pay for it and leave. People working there are consistently kind and helpful. Sadly the store will close at the end of this month as the owner is retiring. It'll be missed.

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!…read more So I went to the liquor store just now to get a fee things... Not normal place but a place I've patronized on the past.. Well NEVER AGAIN!!! When I first entered I say HELLO while looking dead in the face of the employee, and he said NOTHING didn't even acknowledge me, I was the only customer in the store and Im on the phone with my daughter trying to find something she suggested I get to try... Then out of nowhere the employee said, You need to get off your phone, I turned to him and said WHY? He then repeated You need to get off your phone!! I replied NO I DON'T, YOU DONT PAY MY BILL!! He said well I got another customer comin in and you need to get off your phone!! I said your customer comin in has nothin to do with me, mind you I was still shopping and adding things to my stuff on the counter... He sucjes his teeth and mumbles something, So I said to my daughter I'm just gonna go to my reg spot cause I aint gotta spend my money here. He then said GOOD, I dont want yall shoppin here anyway, I dont know why yall niggas just can't hang the phone up and be respectful of other people... So yes he got cussed ALL the way out!!!

I got to admit, having lived across the US, I used to love Dean and Deluca (not sure if Summerville…read morehad one and if they still exist). The place had an upscale vibe to it with better than your grocery store type of food offerings and products. World Market kind of, sort of, not really but sort of fills a little of that void. It also has a certain Bed Bath and Beyond feel, geez anyone else these once great pillars of our shopping experience are gone? Anyways, World Market has a lot inventory and items for the home chef, as well as some Hoby Lobby type enthusiast. This particular store is in a safe part of town with plenty of parking and is very clean. Walking in, I mentioned all the other examples that seem to have an influence on this retailer. So, if any of them fit your liking, well this is the place for you! The reason I was in the store is to get some rare pasta shapes. Quick aside, I love different pasta shapes b/c they literally taste different b/c how they hit the pallet. Don't believe me? As a former chef, tell me macaroni and spaghetti taste the same, they don't! Anyways I was purchasing some principesse pasta (think fettuccini with the lasagna frills on the side, splendid). It's cut with a bronze dye which means it gives a rough texture, perfect for holding sauces and gripping the tongue rather than sliding off. I also picked up some German egg noodles (mini-lasagna) which look like pappardelle with ruffles. Besides online, this is the only local store that carries the shapes. Ok pasta course is over. They have a wide selection of interesting chips, wines, coffees, Asian drinks and ramen noodles, specialty candies and more things that I don't have time to discuss. In other words, this place offers products that you've probably never consider, which really will enhance your life. If you're there, steer clear of the Lindl gourmet truffles unless you have a deal with the belt b/c they're so darn good. I highly advise taking a moment to scan their spices and oils section as well. My only draw back is I wish they had a refrigerated section. While there, they have an interesting kitchen utensils section as well as creative dinnerware, not like those huge cheap places which have no character but only corporate uniformity. I rather liked a lot of their dishes and could envision myself with my pinky up eating crumpets and sipping noon tea! Now they have some furniture and stuff but to be perfectly honest I had no interest in their offerings so I can't speak to quality, price or selection, but it's there if you want to take a looksie. Finally, they are holiday influences so lets say it's Christmas time, they'll have a good amount of space dedicated to things like reefs, lights, ornaments, you name it. I think it's refreshing to have options out there to offset the mainstream. As far as prices, they're a little higher with good reason, it's not the normally created stuff. But at least the option is out there. To wrap up, the employees are nice and ring you up quickly while joyfully answering questions. They have an inventory of items unlike many other places making it a unique shopping experience. Furthermore, it's clean and safe which provides for a laid-back shopping experience. Drop on by, but avoid the upscale candy isle, your hips will thank me!

World Market has great household goods, clothing, spa items, furniture, pictures and mirrors galore. I love to come in just to browse, but I never leave empty handed. And their wine selection is superb!
