I go to Harrison for cleanings and all other dental work. All of the staff (front desk, hygienists, doctors, etc., are all friendly.

Mom and I have been so very lucky over the decades in that we had amazing dentists. So, you know…read morehow it is when you have that, all other dentists fall short. Moving here 3-1/2 years ago, mom had a mediocre dentist and revolving hygienists. I knew that to be a red flag. Finally, the dentist left and the practice had to close its doors while looking for a new one. Took that opportunity and found Lamb Family Dental. Mom was so upset and against trying Dr. Lamb, she tried to refuse as we were driving to the appointment. Not a happy camper at all. I took advantage of the $50 amazon (or CostCo, your choice) gift card for being a new patient and waited for mom in the lobby. It looks like a brand new space and the lobby was comfortable. When mom came out, she was all smiles and so happy. Dr. Lamb came out and told me how great mom's teeth were (she's 90). Later, mom told me Dr. Lamb was the best and I should starting going there, too.

I'm new to the area and was looking to get a basic check-up and cleaning. But instead I ended up…read morewalking out. I got the impression from their intake process that they're not very trustworthy. The intake questionnaire was very long and had questions that seemed suspect. I felt like they were priming the pump to upsell me on services I didn't need (see attached screenshot). Upon arriving, I used their washroom and noticed the toilet wasn't flushed. Can't blame them necessarily for that, but just left an unhygienic first impression. Then when I was called back by the dental hygienist, before even inspecting my teeth I was asked if I ever had a deep cleaning. Since I've personally had too many experiences with medical professionals who are more interested in upselling patients on services that are not needed nor wanted, I decided to get up and leave.

1st time in was expecting a simple superficial teeth cleaning but I was told they don't do it here…read moresince there understaffed for that specific hygienic position at the moment. I'm actually in the chair now been here an hour. They did take some X-rays which is good since I haven't been to a dental office for a long while. But everything I thought I could get taken care of I now know I can't take care of today. So this is disappointing. Most every other time I've been to a dentist they've work all my needs through the day of. Aside from more intricate procedures like wisdom teeth pulling. So unfortunately first impression is not the best. I will be looking for a new location that can do all things and I will research reviews. As today is a work day for me I am ready to walk out but I'm trying to hang in here don't want to be impatient but I have to wait for the dentist to drill out a young man's teeth next to me. I wish they would have scheduled better for a quicker examination. I have to wait until I'm all the way through this to give a true review. I'm an hour and 25 mins in now. Okay now all done total time 2 hours for initial teeth check up with X-rays. Doctor was gentle and pretty calm and did apologize for the wait first thing. Appreciate that acknowledgment. I got a good score of my oral care but I now have to go and schedule a basic teeth cleaning. If the timing was better well it would have been fine. I like the chill classic rock musical vibe while I was sitting around in there though. Also my own yeti coffee cup is sitting in the counter. They keep a clean space over all. Also they had a plumber in investigating a foul smell coming from out of one of their sinks. So they seem pretty on their space.

This review stuck out to me after my visit today -…read more " Bad dentist. Avoid Greg Davis at all costs. He doesn't care about your dental health. He will work on wrong teeth and the work he does is PAINFUL." He doesn't listen at all and does very bad work. This guy should retire and stop hurting people. " I wanted to share my experience at State Street Dental. I will give 2 stars because the staff (front desk) was incredibly nice and helpful. The Dentist was also kind and cordial , but there was never once a mention of procedures and after care before it was done. I basically came in with 3 teeth that were once infected. 2 were broken, and one was an infected crown. My tooth was pulled (it was a molar I believe) and my other teeth were "filled" ? here is my biggest issue and I think the company itself should look into this, because it is an issue for some people. I understand there is an addiction crisis right now with pain medicine. I am not sure if this place is biased or if this is there procedure but I was told AFTER all teeth were treated and extracted that no medicines would be prescribed. I never got "ibuprofen" as they claimed and listen, the pain I was in was SO SEVERE I left the office in TEARS. So after HOURS of pain, I went to the emergency room and they were baffled this place does not offer temporary pain medicine for post op. If your teeth are hurting THAT bad, you've been on the MAX amount of Tylenol and ibuprofen, and have had literal STICHES , why are we not prescribing pain medicine? It doesn't make sense to me and it seems after reading this other patients have had a painful experience. I personally felt the dentist didn't do the best job. My tooth HURT the ENTIRE time it was being extracted and the numbing shots (In my opinion) were not in the right place. I've had many teeth treated in the past by other dentists and the ORAL SURGEON I had did an AMAZING job. All in all, I don't think I would come back here unless I was guaranteed something for pain if I get more EXTRACTIONS. It was the worst pain I've ever been in and the ONLY relief I got was a pill from the emergency room. Thank you state st dental for letting me leave miserable, in pain, and I had to go to the ER for actual assistance. No one seemed to care either at this office either, so the other reviews about lack of empathy are pretty accurate. Thanks for reading this. I really wished dentist and doctors would treat everyone the same way- regardless of how we look and what insurance we have.

When I got there they did all the X-rays, poked the gum, and then the resulting dentist came in and looked at my mouth for less than 10 seconds. He declared that we should remove the tooth, and then declared I had 3 cavities as well. They did not tell me to do a salt wash and see if the gum irritation cleared up, nor did they say to take any medication. In my shock, I scheduled a follow up to remove the tooth and fill in my new cavities. Then I got home and did some research. I did a salt wash for two days and the swollen gum went down to normal. Then I booked a secondary opinion appt at another dentist. Once again did the whole X-ray and other checks. Not a single cavity, nor did they think the tooth should be removed. Horizon is unprofessional and took advantage of an urgent situation. I cancelled all appts and moved onto another dentist. I highly recommend you consider before moving forward on anything with them.
