We had made a reservation with her a month ago and each time we tried to make a payment, she said the ticket hadn't been issued yet so no need to pay. That was the response we would or couldn't get her to call us back when we left a message. Found it very odd since usually after making a reservation you would have to pay within a few days. When we could finally track her down, 2 weeks before the departure day, she says that there are no tickets at the price we reserved a month ago but if we leave in 5 days she can get a ticket which of course cost more. She then had the audacity to say that she couldn't reserve the ticket because we were indecisive or couldn't get a hold of us when she called. I have not given one bad review here on yelp and am usually understanding but I can't let this one go. I will blog, facebook, tweet, and email anyone I know about this experience and make sure no one has to endure what we experienced with this liar.

**Unresponsive during two major issues on European trip- was not worth the cost**…read more My two best friends from childhood and I took a trip to Europe to celebrate a milestone birthday in June. We were referred to Becky by a long time client, but wound up feeling that we were lower priority clients, perhaps felt that she was doing us a favor and didn't need to work quite as hard? She wasn't always super responsive but we knew she was busy with other clients, and especially liked that she was helping clients currently on their trips, as that was just what we hoped for just in case anything went wrong in a foreign country! Unfortunately, one of our hotels in Italy did not have our reservation when we arrived (showed "cancelled") and was completely booked. I emailed Becky and got her out of office message, with no mention of another colleague to contact while she was out! Luckily the hotel manager called a friend at a neighborhood hotel and got us booked there. It took a while plus had the hassle of traveling to the new hotel, so we missed some planned activities as a result. She reached out after the issue was resolved, but we did appreciate the follow up at least. Our return flight was delayed over 10 hours, which required us to rebook our connections for the second legs of our flights. We had booked this flight specifically because Becky, as a travel agent, was required to book round trip tickets on the same airline. However, when we reached out (repeatedly) for help rebooking she was non-responsive (until we got home, so no question of the time difference.) We had to spend hours on the phone with the airline to get rebooked. (Had we not booked with her, and instead selected another itinerary that we had found on our own with multiple airlines, we would have left on time.) Upon returning home, I had hoped Becky would reach out with an explanation. I asked about one after a couple days and never received a response. She did get our initial hotel booking cost back, but didn't show any initiative to find out why we were in that stressful situation to begin with. I find this incredibly unprofessional, and honestly insulting since we paid for her services and genuinely wanted to know what had gone wrong. I completely understand taking time off, but she should have either designated a backup or let us know in advance so we could plan accordingly. I won't be using this agency again. I am often asked for referrals at work for clients (realtors, travel agents, etc) and also in good consciousness couldn't recommend Travel To Go, so unfortunately treating us as second class clients will cost them future business as well.

I finally pressed 3 for Sara...got voicemail, so I called back, pressed 2 for Monica...voicemail...3 times...pressed 1 for Becky...voicemail...do they really want to sell vacations or are they so busy they can't bother to answer? If so would it hurt to hire a receptionist? Now I have given them a 2 because they are so highly recommended but if I call a business during business hours I expect someone to answer, not "loop"me. I wasted almost 10 mins trying to get their attention and travel agents wonder why so many of us use the internet and do our own travel.

Where I was on a train traveling from London to Paris and worried because we found out our Air B&B was cancelled at the last critical minute, one call to Maria and not only did she did find us a room, but a place WAY better than the spot that was cancelled. She found better air flights, booked some super cool excursions, booked trains 1st class, and bailed us out of trouble a couple of times on this last trip. Maria started off with good pricing and got us pretty low but than my wife and I started to think... been there, done that, do we really want to spend this much and go down to Ensenada? So the hunt for a mini December getaway / vacation started. Like others, we want the most for our buck and since this was a last minute vacation we had a low budget. This was not easy for Maria and she helped us narrow down pricing and length for a warm winter location. We received amazing deals for Hawaii, Cancun and San Diego, as well as other cruises... After a week of us being extremely undecided as to where we wanted to vacation, we decided to go to a location where we haven't been before (believe it or not San Diego). Maria was hard at work for us all week long. Sending us various locations and hotels at Stellar prices! We were really picky (even though the suggestions were great) with a budget and Maria came through with a Hilton resort package, including flight, zoo and a navel tour! We finally made the decision to go with this specific package. Hilton ended up having an issue with accepting payment and the special ended that night ($300 savings). She spent an entire Friday with Hilton telling them what happened and that they needed to match the special from the prior day. Finally Maria Called us back with great news and booked out reservations that evening. Moving forward we will book all our vacation needs with Maria! She provided great customer service. She understood what we wanted, where we wanted to stay and go! She was patient, friendly and very attentive to our emails and communications.
