I have never once found something I did not want to buy from Harry Rosen, which can be a problem as everything is pricey in the store. That being said, the sales associates are extremely friendly and will go to any lengths necessary to find the right size, even phoning other stores and getting it shipping to their location for your pick up at no extra cost. They have something for everyone in the store, granted you're willing to burn a hole in your bank account- I guess that's why the customer service is so good. They have all the high end brands from Hugo Boss to Gucci to Lacoste to Salvatore Ferragamo to Fred Perry and other higher end designer clothing. If you something that is not quite your size, then their in-house tailer is brought up right away and tailored to your exact measurements. I remember the original Harry Rosen when it was just one small unit. Now it has expanded to three store lengths and offers a wide variety of suits, dress shirts, ties, dress and casual shoes, and also casual (but still high end) clothing. Bought two pairs of Hugo Boss Derbies, and notice the paint fading abnormally on the leather lower. I took them back and showed one of the associates. Without question, they took the shoes back, and issued me a service ticket. I came back a week later, the leather lowers were given a fresh coat of paint and the leather upper was freshly waxed. This store is pretty boss. I tend to come here for their casual clothing rather than their formal wear, mainly because that's the only stuff in the store that I can afford. The suits here are top quality, CEO-type cuts. Your wallet will cry. That being said, I've never had a problem with the sales staff here. I can't really articulate why but my suit business has pretty much gone to Henry Singer or Eddie's Menswear. I think it's because I feel I get a lot more personalized service at Singer or Eddie's. When I go there, I see staff that I've always seen there and bought from, but at Rosen's it's always a new crowd. I still go to Rosen to have a look at the casual wear, sports wear selection. It's pretty much the one of two places to get Fred Perry, Victoronix or Canadian Goose Down. I've a feeling that Harry Rosen's in general needs to spruce up it's stores and it's brands. I just don't associate it with being up to date. It's more like my grandfather's clothing store. read more

This a really price store with great clothes. Mostly high end stuff, everything here is designer. The workers here are really friendly and not pushy. They will leave you alone if you just want to be left alone, they are never breathing down your neck trying to make a sale. They carry casual clothing but I think it's much better place for suits and dress shirts and fancy clothing. I think this place stands out in West Edmonton Mall in terms of service and dressy clothing for men. They really do everything to make your shopping experience better. Jodi there is so helpful when I'm buying clothing. She always jumps in to assist anyone that walks into the store when she's not busy on her many appointments throughout the day. I am on the younger side of the shoppers there, and jodi didn't hesitate to assist me! This is a high-end clothing store, so keep in mind the prices for everything in there will be high. read more

Went to Edmonton to purchase some suits for my son starting a new career as a financial adviser, which you would think Harry Rosens would like to grab a hold of for future business and a long term customer in a field that will always need suits. He told me he purchased a overcoat in Calgary, and that it took the clerks over 10 minutes to come over to him because he was looking at over coats over $1,300.00. He said when the sales clerk finally came over he said you understand how much these coats are, he said yes, and purchased it. He felt like a little kid again, and who are you to say how much its going to cost, and how much money someone has. So I talked him into going back to Harry Rosens but now at West Edmonton Mall and I will go with him so that he wouldn't have the same experience. The thing was, I was cleaning out my father in laws garage in the morning and didn't change, I just wore my old jeans and top, and my son changed and was wearing some nice clothes. We walked into the store and I have never witnessed something so pathetic in a store as I did last Saturday, the clerk at the counter looked up at us and stared for a few seconds and then looked down at whatever he was doing and I was taken back. He looked at us again, and then looked at a guys that walked in right behind us with cacky shorts on, a sweater, and a scarf around his neck and said oh welcome could I help you with anything sir. Another clerk walked right by us and went to the gentleman and asked if he could be of assistants. At this point I am fuming, and my son said I told you...please don't say anything dad. We looked at the suits for about 5 minutes, and I said lets get out of here and not in those words. On purpose we walked to the other end of the store with out anyone saying a word to us as it wasn't as if there wasn't enough clerks on duty. To give you credit, just as we were leaving a young clerk came up to us from the back and asked if there was anything he could help us with. You know we are hard on the youth these days, but at least this kid over looked what we were wearing and took us for what we were, customers. So Harry Rosen, if I was reading this I would make some drastic changes, as you never know who has money and who doesn't and what they maybe wearing into your store shouldn't dictates how you serve them. To let you know, we spent $1,500 on shirts an ties at Val Bergs, came back to Calgary and spent $4,200 at Nordstroms, and another suit for $1,200. So maybe that is nothing for you guys, but I wore the same jeans on purpose to these locations and had no problems. read more

I couldn't recommend this store to anyone in good conscience. If I could give negative rating I will do it. I have been to Holt Renfrew, Gravity Pope, Henry Singer, Harry Rosen, Val Berg, and I found out the service here to be the worst. The manager Daniel I talked to seemed to care less if you buy from this store or not. I was looking to get some advice for some made-to-measure shirts, and I had to ask him to "sell" to me. It seemed like the manager there was doing the customers a favour. The manager was patronizing the customers instead of the other way around. Also the manager was using derogatory terms towards other employees/customers. It was so horrendous to see Harry Rosen actually allows that to happen in a work place. Please do yourself a favour and just shop any other place in Edmonton. read more

Mixed reviews. I've purchased some really great items from this store over the years. My dad always shopped at HR and as per his recommendation for Harry Rosen and Henry Singer, I became a loyal customer. Of course, being in my 20's when I began shopping there, I didn't always have the budget to become their favorite customer. Nonetheless, I was usually treated well and felt like they were attentive to my needs- even if I was shopping for sales items, or just a few shirts or ties. I went there about a year ago to look at purchasing my first really nice suit. I've had many suits before, but usually from department stores or online/traveling made-to-measure outfits, like Indochino or Executive Custom Tailors. I was greeted by an associate, who- for the life of me I can't remember his name- but he's one of their regular fulltime (I believe) staff, and he provided me with the absolute WORST customer service experience imaginable for a store like HR. I was looking for either a suit or a blazer and this gentleman (a late 40's, early 50's Asian man) showed me a the Z Zegna, Hugo Boss and some other options. I asked about upcoming events and he mentioned to me that there was an Armani event that coming week, and I also asked about Tom Ford, since I saw an ad that they were having a Tom Ford event in the near future as well. His reply? "Oh- unless you are one of the recent Lotto Max winners, you can't afford Tom Ford." I was shocked by his comment because, for all he knew, I could've been a young entrepreneur, come from a wealthy family, or even just had an affinity for nice suits. He generalized, saying I wasn't worthy of purchasing a high end piece of couture like Tom Ford. Consequently, I've yet to return to HR since this. Singers and Holt's may be out of my way, but this really curdled my coffee. You have no reason to treat someone that way in customer service, and furthermore, he probably felt that he's above everyone else, while perhaps the only reason he's suited in high end designer tailoring is because he does so at a considerable staff discount. I'm hoping management reads this. I've had other associates assist me there and it's generally been a great experience. But as they say- one spoiled apple can ruin the bunch. read more

Henry Rosen is one of those menswear stores that I admire from the distance and shop at very rarely. In fact my husband and I only shopped here twice - both times it was last minute shopping before our wedding, and what we bought was a suite and a pair of shoes. One of the great things about Henry Rosen, in addition to great clothes, is excellent customer service. That would come as no surprise considering the amount of money you spend at this store. But seriously, customer service representatives go all out to be as helpful as possible and to make your visit pleasant. The clothes, shoes and accessories sold at Henry Rosen all carry designer names, are of extremely good quality and cost a lot of money. Some of the brands are Hugo Boss, 7 for All Mankind, Etro, Cole Haan, Ted Baker and Salvatore Ferragamo. The store carries a wonderful selection of men's suits which can be tailored to fit a man, who buys this suite, like a second skin. This service is free of charge. I strongly believe that Henry Rosen is a store where one can buy clothes for special occasions only. Buying jeans, shirts and sweaters here would be too expensive for a regular guy. I would buy suits, ties and shirts here, and spend my money on casual clothes someplace else...someplace less expensive. read more

The experience you have at Harry Rosen always boils down to the individual sales guy - not so much the store. I used to shop here a lot many years ago. Then I quit due to pushy salespeople. And some of their high-end clothing may have been "fashionable" but man was it weird and ugly. But recently my wife forced me to go here again to get some nicer, not-always-so-casual stuff and we were lucky enough to get a good sales guy who made good helpful suggestions. Bought one jacket, two pairs of shoes, two shirts and one pair shorts, all nice and fit well. But as I said, if you get the wrong sales guy, you can't get outta that place fast enough. The Perfect Place for Argyle and Sarcasm This is the place to go if you'd like to be berated and not find what you're looking for. My husband I were looking for a suit for a destination wedding. We were hoping to find a white short sleeve dress shirt. We asked an attendant and were told they had nothing. As we left he added this little comment 'you should have bought it in the summer.' Thank you for the advise Harry Rosen. I will now get in my time machine, go back to this past summer and then you can have my business. Had a really bad customer service experience here a couple months ago. Not only is the service terrible but most of the merchandise is marked up 30-40% higher. Trust me if your young and you can look up the product online i'm sure you can find it cheaper. I looked at a $225 Paul Smith hoodie in the store and looked it up on my phone while in the fitting room to see Nordstorm was selling it on sale for $75. Also I looked at a pair of Guiseppe Zanotti sneakers that they were selling for $875 that I purchased on sale from ssense.com a couple weeks prior for $499. The pretentiousness of this store is hilarious! I had better service in Bergdorf Goodman wearing joggers than here. Save your money and go somewhere else read more

Great place to buy a suit. Wide selection and price range. You're looking to start at $800 and the sky is the limit. I'd say expect to pay at least $1200 if you want to have some options though. I've been numerous times and have bought a couple suits from them. Always helpful and friendly and if you're just browsing, they'll give you room. They aren't pressuring you to buy. I am in the market for another suit and will definitely be having a look at what they have soon. Highly recommended. Maybe I just lucked out and have always interacted with the right salesperson, but I've never had a negative experience in this store. read more

My experience at the WEM Harry Rosen was first rate. This was the first time I purchased an article of clothing here. I was in the market for a Canada Goose jacket, and was limited to options, as I was shopping way too late to find a good selection. I dealt with a manager by the name of Daniel R. From the get-go, he was very professional and knew everything he had to know about the jacket. I eventually did pick a style that I liked but had to wait as it was being transferred from another store. NP. When the jacket arrived, Daniel contacted me right away, and we went to pick it up. A day or so later, I noticed that there were not any tags on the jacket, as they might have been removed during transit, or maybe it was a previous customer that returned it. Anyways, I let Daniel know, and there was no arguing or bickering about it like you would get at almost any other store, high-end or not. He explained what the possible reasons could have been for there not being tags, but as soon as he knew I wasn't happy about it, he offered to order another one right away. I was very impressed at how he handled this situation so professionally, never making me feel like an unhappy customer. So after a few weeks, I decided the jacket wasn't for me anyways. It wasn't a style that I normally wear, and I only bought it because of the way Daniel presented it. In other words, I bought him, not the jacket... and this a trait of all good salespeople. Just recently, I brought the jacket back and explained to Daniel that, after all that, the jacket just wasn't my style. Again, he responded professionally, saying that returning it was fine as long as I was happy. It's hard to get this kind of service anywhere these days, let alone a high-end clothing store. What I respected most about Daniel was that he always placed the company he worked for in a positive light. Every question I asked him, his answer would include something positive about Harry Rosen and how they do business. He represented the Harry Rosen brand very well.
